My Giulietta consumes a lot of fuel and i've worked out why...it's a QV so the fix would be to buy the 1.4 version lol. Seriously though, great video as always. Keep up the good work
@@arcgarage It certainly is. It's almost as much fun as my Busso GT. My brother has a 1.4 170bhp Giulietta and i think the 1.4 is a great little engine
Well, you re gonna be surprised, my QV was averaging 10 l of my driving style, and now, 1.4 tb is averaging 8,5... so don't sell qv to buy 1.4, you will be very disapointed and sad after that, trust me
My wife has the Lancia Delta III with the 1.4 Twin air 140HP and the fuel consumption is horrendous. She does small city journeys mainly but 13lt/100 is way too much even for that. I will try some of the solutions in your video and see what I get. PS previous owner had installed a "sport" air filter. This might have thrown the sensors out of calibration. Thanks for the tips!
Do those fuel additives help? I'm not as handy as you and would prefer not to touch much since I'm scared I would break stuff or not be able to put it all back in correctly.
If you have an Alfa Romeo, fuel consumption shouldn’t be your main concern. EDIT: No, not reliability either. Driving pleasure usually implies more attention to dynamics than a fuel efficiency drive. While driving pleasure is still possible with a fuel economy mindset, I would say it’s at least a bit of an odd combination.
I agree, but still I had Alfa 156 a while back that was consuming over 20 liters of gasoline due to the bad O2 sensor. So while Alfas do take a bit more gas, there should be a reasonable limit to it
Hi new to giulietta have a jdm 2 120hp and I have some questions. How mutch consumption I'm expecting currently I have 5.6l/100km mixed urban /city driving on normal mode. Also I have been told that dynamic shouldn't be used for long journeys it could damage the engine is that true?
As a relatively new Giulietta owner, these videos are so helpful. Thanks, and please keep making them 😊
Glad to hear that. Will do

Thanks man, will do. I bet QV is worth the extra fuel

@ Busso GT is one of my planned cars, love the engine as well as design, it is timeless. The 1.4 on Giuliettas is great

Welcome, you should definitely get better mileage
Thanks for the video. Not happy with my Giulietta MPG. How miles / kilometres should I get from petrol version. Mostly short journeys.
Short journeys have huge impact on your mpg, but that's with all of the cars. You should be getting around 35mpg or 8l/100km
My QV's consumption is quite high and it's the problem i can't seem to control "aggressive driving" 😂
I understand completely

I don't usually use them, but they can be beneficial to diesel engines, just make sure you do a thorough research before you purchase anything
@arcgarage Thanks. Appreciate the quick reply. I will look into some and see if it would be worth it.
