I'm assuming that's a work truck but did you really sit the glass on the hood when you guys were installing it

The tool in the video is the WRD Spider Tool. There are other companies that make similar tools as well.

So, no rubber around the windshield?

No, this vehicle (like most late model passenger vehicles) does not have any rubber moulding.
