    He is absolutely right. Any medicine has to be explained in terms of cause - effect at ogrnism's level and molecular level.
    Please note that very few Ayurvedic medicines are explained in terms of cause - effect which can be explained empirically.
    According to Ayurveda world is consists of Panchabhutha. Similar to 200 BC Greeks.
    Can any Ayurvedic medicine states its constituents in terms of chemical compounds. Any explain that chemical's impact on the organism at the cellular level.

    Adding black pepper powder to a glass of turmeric milk helps it's absorption.

      black pepper can be added when making omlettes and any food item as well. As black pepper helps to absorb nutrients and not just turmeric.

Turmeric in Indian dishes (taking into account that most of the circumin isn't absorbed) is more than sufficient!!! adding pepper, increases circumin absorption, and not by a small amount either (almost 2000%)... imagine that milk + haldi + piperine (active ingredient in pepper that increases circumin's bio-availability) gives you 20x more circumin... consumed regularly WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY LEAD TO LIVER TOXICITY...

    When Canada banned Chavanaprash, our national pride got hurt. Started defending chavanaprash. But never researched about the source of Lead and Mercury in Chavanaprash. If Canada thought this high lead and Mercury is not got for their children; what about our children...

      A basic MBBS doctor has PSM which has the basics of nutrition and since this man is DM Hepatology, his understanding of how the body treats food is much superior to an average nutritionist.

      ​@dwirajesh most doctors don't keep up with latest in prevention. They only keep up with treatment. That said, you need to be very careful what you put into your body and not rely on magic cures. Anything that is not your natural diet, one must be careful. I also take methi but not daily because you never know

      @@suvam.behera Your immunity would depend on what you eat also, and many other external factors as well. That's why even doctors stuff to take vitamin C when you get regular cough or cold to increase immunity.

    I'm a type 2 diabetic im fit, and at a very healthy weight, my glucose levels were playing up for months i started using tumeric and ginger milk, and my glucose levels have now gone back to normal. This guy is talking through his arse.

    I stopped watching the video after he spoke about Haldi doodh.
    If sugar is sugar, how come honey is good to soothe a sore throat? Honey is a superfood.
    Turmeric is a super food. You increase its absorption in the body by adding fat and black pepper. Turmeric also helps support liver detox

      As someone who doesn’t agree with everything he said. Honey and its benefits actually comes from the bee pollen and not honey itself. The bee pollen has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties the honey is just a sweet thing. And most companies filter out the bee pollen in honey so u r basically eating a natural sugar. That’s all

    In ayrveda, turmeric is used in the formulation of many medicines. This man may be from allpathic forms of nedicines. So madam, next time, call an ayurvedic doctor and ask the same wuestions.His contention that turmeric is rejected in stool is not correct

      @@chandraprabha3678 by those standards micro-biologists genetic experts wont consider allopathy as science rather a hit and trial methodology , Dr Siddhartha Mukherjee , famous genetic scientist and author of worldwide repute in his "Genes: An intimate history" writes the limitation of allopathy in treating higher order diseases including cancer and related side-effects and how genetic engg holds the key. Its not like that I know of Dr. from reputed clgs practicing medicine ,who talk about the benefits of Ayurveda. Its about efficacy and sample sizes and more research. The above person lives in his own glass house

And modern medicine has always accepted their limitations when it comes to the treatment of certain disease conditions. Show me one allopathy doctor who said they have cure for everything. Yes cancer has a lot to do with DNA mutations, allopathy doctors know that. It’s their science that proved it… genetic engineering is again part of modern medicine. We are also know that gene therapy is the future. All these are part of same science these are thing we knew decades ago. and no microbiologist or genetic experts think modern medicine is hit or miss because they practice the same.

      Studies are limited, thats why he said that. Allopathy doctors have to follow science and research studies while they practice coz they are held accountable for what they do. They can’t do guess work or do experiments on patients. ayurveda doctors are never held responsible for their mistakes. But allopathy doctors are. So yes they have to follow latest guidelines and research works for the sake of patients.

      @@Em34556 brother, i support that notion but saying that it doesn't have any positive effect at all is a statement that requires more research still and there are studies showing the positive effects of turmeric consumptions. Its just my opinion that he could have framed his statement as, there are not much studies done on it but as far as the research I've read, denies any benefits of turmeric consumption. But, on the contrary it needs to be researched more to arrive to a concrete conclusion!

      @@unipitytedya2945 u did not listen carefully. He said curcumin which is the active ingredient in haldi milk is not getting absorbed by the body so it’s not doing anything. He never said turmeric is bad. curcumin is an anti- inflammatory, and is beneficial. Its proven. U need to get it into the system nah.. the bioavailability is low in turmeric. The doctor is correct only. Moreover there is a huge debate regarding the quality of turmeric we get these days. Companies have been found to mix lead with it causing lead poisoning. So there are problems with the quality of turmeric and is absorption.

    John Hopkins university have published a paper on benefits of turmeric with milk(Listed Below)… Read it carefully and Google the paper.. and if you should do more research before spreading lies, otherwise people relate you with Rice Bags😒
    Inflammation.
    Degenerative eye conditions.
    Metabolic syndrome.
    Arthritis.
    Hyperlipidemia (cholesterol in the blood)
    Anxiety.
    Muscle soreness after exercise.
    Kidney health.

      Did u read the study? The study clearly says thats the bioavailability of curcumin is very low and it not easily absorbed by the body.. u proved his point only. He never said turmeric is not beneficial, in fact he also accepts that curcumin is good for inflammation. he said haldi in haldi milk is not absorbed by our body so it’s a waste. Exactly what the studies says. This is what happens with half knowledge 😂😂

      @@Em34556while it’s correct bioavailability of turmeric is very very low.
      However when mixed with oil, the bioavailability of turmeric increases.
      I know this because in my masters my colleague’s thesis was actually to improve bioavailability of curculio through oral ingestion.
      So she prepared liposomes (a type of drug carrier) and improved bioavailability by 60%
      The turmeric bioavailability is increased when ingested with oil/ghee:butter

    The reason for him saying haldi doodh doesn't help is because the turmeric passes on into stool, so the milk is what helps here. He isn't saying 'turmeric is useless'. You all need to learn to listen carefully lol.

    Don’t comment on Ayurveda being obsolete if you have never read it/practised it. Humility is basic scientific temperament which is the hallmark of scientists and physicians with years of experience. You have many more miles to go before you become wise, not just knowledgable.

    It's less informed medical professional who is talking. Turmeric of all the spices is the most potent anti inflammatory spice. No it doesn't go in poop waste. Circumin is fat soluble so fat source like milk oil ghee is used. Need more credible speakers.

    This is misinformation, as far as turmeric is concerned. It will take too long to write my personal experiences, but I had a swelling on my left foot the size of a small golf ball . It was cured within a few days by taking turmeric with black peper. Also my gout problems disappeared by taking apple cider vinegar regularly- just one to two tea spoons per day.

    If turmeric was so good for health, all Indians should have been super healthy by now with the daily intake.

      It has extremely good benefits. However the problem is absorption by body.
      Turmeric is very lipophilic. And to cross the cell barrier you need to first cross a hydrophilic and then a double layer of lipophilic layer.
      It doesn’t even pass the hydrophilic layer. So it gets excreated.
      If we find good way as drug carrier mechanisms then potentially the pharmacological aspects of turmeric are very beneficial

      @@lakshmikrithika2521 I have benefitted by consuming milk and turmeric whenever I catch cold and cough. I mix turmeric to a hot glass of milk and I drink after it gets less hot. Is there an explanation for this? Because when I dont do this the cough seems to persist for much longer time, at least a week more

      Warms milk makes tummy and opens up throat and makes you feel better.
      If you are having milk with 4% fat also. The turmeric can be made available to the body through these micro fat globules. But I can’t say for sure 😐

    Per a new study, Artificial sweeteners used in 0 calorie drinks have the same insulin response and are worse because they tend to make you hungry. It seems he just wants to believe in studies that suit his narrative.

    In earlier days people ate simple traditional stuff that was available locally and lived a healthy life. Do that.
    Take all new-age advice with a pinch of turmeric...sorry salt.
    But we won't, because we want to lead unhealthy lifestyle and search for hacks to fix it's ill-effects.

      @@angieakasara we all know the function of fibrinogen in blood clot , turmeric is an agent which when applied can enhance clotting... It is especially beneficial for individuals who due to health or some medications have lowered clotting function ....My dear sis I don't know which country u have come from we in India have known this for ages ..give ur half cooked brain test ... wherever you are

      @@dwirajesh you could call it a benefit if it works exponentially better than the natural option of platelets. The scenario for clotting disorders, that’s why we have artificial clotting factors. Applying turmeric to a wound could contaminate it significantly. At least a gauze is sterile.

    As it was rapid round so it is understood can't be more explanatory basis. However, its too complex what's best whether it's Ayurveda,Homeopathy or Allopathy. Everyone have developed a taste into there own stream and it has become so so complex for a commoner to understand. It's better to balance eating instead or running behind the fictitious claims done in today's money making world.
    It will be great Faye if there will more such interviews on Facts Vs Hyped on health.
    For example. Increased in Thyroid cases in women these days compare to women in olden days.

    If turmeric is not useful then why nature has produced it.?Termeric is used by humans since long and their respective experiences shows positive response.On what bases this Dr.has different opinion.Adding little quantities of black pepper enhances the benefits of the Turmeric.

    This "Doctor" needs to go back to study Ayurveda....he calls himself a doctor but he does not know the benefits of Haldi milk, the difference between the sweet taste (not sugar) derived from honey, jaggery, cane sugar AND white sugar.
    He is so ignorant or egoustic that he is minimising/belittling the studies and researches which were done by the great sages/rishis and seers in ancient Bharat and compiled a timeless scripture calked Ayurveda!

    Doesn't turmeric have curcumin which is good for inflammation, arthritis, metabolic disorders and even anxiety? And also there is very little to scant evidence available to prove that intermittent fasting is better on a significant degree than reducing the portion sizes of each meal in a day.

    I made many comments in this vedio. Don't get emotional or abusive towards him. If you want to discredit him.
    Give the chemical composition of Haldi ( or any other Ayurvedic Medicine) and explain its impact on organism as a whole and at cellular level.
    Provide empirical studies published.
    I want reverse the question, consider some body selling you paracetamol with out mentioning the chemical composition of the medicine. Will you be ready to take it.
    But we will be taking Ayurvedic medicine with out knowing chemical composition and with out knowing the working on human boday.
