Rode plenty Scenics as a very young kid back in the 1960s back and forth between Baton Rouge La and Port Arthur Texas via Lake Charles. Rode some MC-7s in the 1970s same route as well as Houston to Los Angeles and Los Angeles back to Baton Rouge. I think I rode my last MC-7 in 1977.

Several years ago I saw a Scenicrusier in Odessa Texas that looked abandoned behind an old shop building. The main door was partially open and that made me stop because that won't do in dusty West Texas. It looked to be all original but had two flat front tires. I went in and still had all the seats and was dusty but otherwise looked pretty good. I sat in the drivers seat a couple of minutes then decided to leave before I got into trouble. I left the door pushed to the closed position and left. A shout time later I went back to where it was but it was gone. I wish I would noticed the bus number because I am probably seeing it again in videos on Utube. I just remember how nice it looked.

That MC-7 is sweet...rode in one of those in the late 70s to AC and the driver passed another bus under the Harbor Tunnel
