I really appreciate hearing your story and what you are doing! I am only 41 and I am going through early menopause. It was quite frankly devastating to me when I received the diagnosis right before my 40th birthday , as I had hoped to have another child. Here in the USA, I also found it so disappointing the lack of resources for women going through menopause! Like we are just supposed to suffer?? It’s not right, no one cares about older women!! I have now come somewhat to terms with fact I am going through this so early, want to make sure I am keeping healthy and trying to get these mood swings under control, feeling like PMS for weeks is really out of control. Since December I have been working out regularly, increasing my weight training.. Trying to get the diet under control because the extra weight is not moving, which is one of the reasons I am following your channel. I am thinking of HRT maybe until age 50, just because I am afraid of being so early the higher risk for dementia and other diseases- will discuss on my upcoming doctors visit. Anyway, again, thank you for sharing and please continue to put out the content!
Thank you for reaching out and I'm sorry that you're going through this early. Tbh I didn't know it was related to menopause then, but I missed 3 months of periods when I was 39. So I wonder if I started early too. I too find it really disheartening that us women at this stage in life, get very little support. I know how you feel about dementia in old age, I fear it too. Which is why I really focus on my brain health now. Thank you for letting me know that you're finding my content helpful. I stopped putting content out last year, because I thought that no one was seeing my videos. I've re started this year, as I feel more women needs to hear this information to support themselves ♥
I was doing good until recently. I was exercising but now I have to slow down. My menopause journey is a nightmare. I am looking to follow honest people. Transparency is so important. People that say they have nice skin using a product and then secretly are getting Botox injections is a very dishonest representation of reality. I hope this channel is what I have been looking for so long.
Hi Shirley! Thanks again for more fantastic info and thanks for sharing your journey. So glad you managed to find help and do what works for you. It's amazing of you to come on here and help others help themselves! Hope you're well, Liv xx
Hi Liv, thank you 😊 How are you? I think there is so much emphasis on hrt and it's great that women are getting more help now. But I feel there's very little information for women who can't or don't want to take hrt. I just want to share that there are other ways women can help themselves through this time in life.
Holistic Menopause yes there definitely are! It’s so important for women to be educated on their hormones and bodies, thankyou for your holistic approach and showering us other ways we can feel better x
Great video! I am nearly 49 and still have reg periods, some very heavy, lack of motivation, not good sleep, low mood, forgetfulness and was wondering whether to start HRT or get some evening primrose oil as you mentioned? Are you still taking them?
These symptoms really affect our life don't they? I feel you. There has been a few times I've contemplated hrt. I think if you really feel hrt might help, that you do what you feel is right for you. Specially if your symptoms are affecting your life in a drastic way. If hrt doesn't work for you, you can always stop? I guess it's weighing up the pros and cons. I hope my content is helping and that you get some relief soon. I don't take evening primrose oil anymore, as my diet really improved my symptoms. That's not to say that I don't take supplements, as I do take a few. But I feel that may be a post for another day 😉
I can’t learn and focus. I took anti depressant. My scalp hurts and my for head sides hurt when in pooping and when I go down? What is best foods help me focus? Thank you
Sorry to hear you're having a challenging time. I can't really give you personalised advice, specially if you're taking antidepressants. It might be worth letting your doctor know about your symptoms, so you get more help. I hope you feel better soon.
