I'm intrigued by the Boom Pit and the Shock and Dart. I'm playing through Darkness Falls again. My group tried a base from someone else and it works really well so far. We tried one with a pit kind of like yours... it worked really well, but like you said, needs a lot of repairs at the end. Thanks for sharing!
You can stop the zombies from hitting the supports for the Boom Pit if you make the base at least 12 blocks off the ground. If the player is more than 11 blocks away, and there is a valid path to the player, zombies won't ever enter rage mode.
Really awesome base ideas. My electrical know how is still lacking so I would need to practice the Shock and Dart base a bit to perfect it in-game. You definitely deserve more subs!
That was a great video! I might try that last base in creative mode. I’m not that good yet to do it in regular play. I can’t believe you got a bear up on the roof!
You can add Blade Traps to the "Shock & Dart" base - And add a 2nd level to repair everything. You'd need to lower the corridor by 1 block for the Blades to take off heads - But that is what I use.
@@Bear-Gaming That's why I have a level above (Its kind of snaking like yours going up a set of stairs at the "end") that leads to an area to repair everything (including fences). I play Insane Nightmare set at 64. But the night legenth is default.
Fun fact I discovered today: Cardio skill maxed out, College Jacket, High Performance Running Shoes, you can sprint forever. Take off all your armor or wear good cloth, and run a marathon. Mega Crush to become Sawnik
Nice combo, there are also a few skill book completions that can fill stanima bar with each kill. Spears are an example. I have a mini series testing each melee vs day 7000 blood moon if you are interested.
I dont get how the conversion works. All I know about pathing that should not work. They would just treat it like a tower base and go for your bedrock support. How do they think jumping off the side would allow them to reach you? They head straight for the player. They seek to match your height first, as far as they are able, then they will seek you horizontally. Once they do all they can on those two, they seek out the lowest hp block path to start destroying towards you. They act pretty consistently. The only new difference is the attempt to make frame rates better by making zombies dumber if they are a certain amount of blocks from the player.
Fast Runners tend to fall off the sides, if they jump at the opening, they will miss and fall due to the pole in the opening. They will begin hitting blocks and usually at the ends of the two paths before they converge. You must stop them there. They see the opening as small enough and you are close enough to reach. If you have ranged weapons to stop the ones at the top of the 2 separate paths them you should be OK. It was mentioned in another comment to make the height over 12 I believe, to prevent support attacks. May not be possible in a conversion, tho.
My bloodmoon base is literally just multiple 3 block high 1x1 concrete pillars (steel if i have access to a crucible) scattered around because im not smart enough to build horde bases

Thanks. Darkness Falls is a great mod to try. Just be ready as the blood moon is intense.
Very nice bases. Great vid
Thanks, I hope to start looking into the new environmental traps for converted POI Bases.

06:40 Shock and Dart can be a way cheaper, if you do the pass 4 block height and 2 block wide.
It's still functional.
Good point, 👍

Blades are an good idea. I do find they fail a little too early with waves set at 32 or 64 with longer nights.

I understand the second level now. Clever 👍

Out of curiosity, for the pressure plates, do you use 1x1 or the 1x5 version?
They are the 1x5 version.

Where is the playthrough for shock and dart?
Shock and dart was a purely experimental base design. I have not yet use it on a playthrough.
Sweet. Just found you!
Welcome. Hope you enjoy the videos.

I usually don't build a horde base but I have been experimenting with narrow paths lately
@@Bear-Gaming Do zombies path onto the 0.025m pole?
I try not to use anything smaller than the 1/4 poles when setting up a path. They tend to just hit anything narrower.
迎撃拠点で電流フェンスポストを使うと結局壊されてしまって敵に押し込まれることが多かったのだけど 壊される前提で作るといいのかー
