  • Yup, you read that right, this series of tables makes a 20' long conference table! To be fair, it's not one sold 20' long conference table, that would have been a REALLY big challenge! Instead the customer decided to go with a more reasonable option of 5 tables (4' x6") that when assembled make one continuous 20' table....The challenge??? They wanted a continuous flowing map of downtown Greenville, the Reedy River, and special inlay of the Liberty Bridge over Reedy River Park!
Challenge accepted! We partnered with another local woodworker (Mike Fanning) on this project for the office of Packaging-school.com in downtown Greenville and this beautiful work of art now resides at 640 S. Main Street easily visible from main street surrounded by 60' of glass windows if you'd like to see for yourself.
The project was about 3 months in the making requiring careful planning and layout between us and the customer to make sure we understood their vision and were able to bring it to life. In the end, I think we nailed it!

That is incredible! What system did you use to attach each section?

So to be honest that was the portion that Mike was responsible for lol, but he ended up going with a swivel latch system, similar to like what would be used on a window.
