The Grouper you caught are awesome. Wondered what line you were using so I expanded the 'Show More' noted 25 lb fluro. I thought no way. I am glad you closed with the actual line strength. Hey Thonny, how long is the rod your using? What pound test are you using? I have fished fresh water all of my life (Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and the Niagara River). My wife and I moved to Bradenton two years and I recently got the itch to fish bad!
The rod is a Shimano Terez 7’8 50-100lb class paired up with Shimano 10000 saragosa 50lb braid and 80lb leader!

If you’re targeting grouper then I would go heavier on the line like 50lb braid or higher. Heavy gear too
