Do you use a balloon to float your pinfish out?
yes, I use a ballon when the tide slows down. I tie 4-5 knots on the ballon so it does not move position or come off.
Good video content. I’m going to be in the area to fish are the grouper still biting mid July til August ?
Yes grouper bite all year
are you fishing from the north pier or the south pier?
I fish both but I usually fish south pier there, is more rock piles.
What’s your weight of your test line? I think i got caught on the rocks last time by bait shop on the North side
I use a 8-10ft 130-150lb leader. Connect the braid to mono with fg knot with rizzuto finish. A loop knot for the hook.
Just wondering why do you use such a heavy leader for a grouper? Wouldn’t a 30-40lb test line work just fine? Cheers
@@DavidMoore12345 the grouper hide in the rocks as soon as they bite, so the test is more to avoid the rocks breaking the line, not because the grouper can pull 150lb
What kinda rod ?
this is a shimano sojourn muskie rod 8'6 xxh. I got it stripped down and rebuilt. the rod is discontinued rod.
What reel is that?
Daiwa Saltiga SASD50A

When can u saw me the ropes buddy ?? Haha

Sorry, but I really don't like that you bounce those fish around on the street.
I put it down soft. When they touch the ground, they flop around, just like on a boat.
