Donut, why is there a meatcanyon bad dragon collab behind you on your shelf.
Deputy Corbin Smith is my son. Just wanted to say that both officers are at home recovering with their families. The two deputies both have wives and baby daughters at home. Getting the phone that my son had been shot was the worst phone call of my life and not knowing for about 15-20 minutes if he was alive was excruciating. I will add that there are more than a couple deputies on duty at one given. There are actually quite a lot. What made the extraction difficult and the reason neither of these deputies returned fire was because this was a very small neighborhood with houses right next to each other and there was an elderly woman in the home. The deputies unfortunately never had eyes on the perp because he was moving from window to window and had a rifle and pistol at every window. These young men stayed calm, applied their own tourniquets and made it home alive!!
God bless you lady. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Welcome to small town law enforcement. I know that area quite well and can tell you 15 minutes is not ridiculously long at all. It's not exactly the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there.
@@steves578 Really? As if they have any actual control over that, douchebag?
The fact that the officers barley made a noice once they were shot is crazy. *These officers are fucking bosses.*
Bosses, aye. And highly focused. And high on adrenalin too, I guess.
They're trained not to act a fool when you're injured. All that does is waste more blood cuz you're panicking even more.
Be Gone thot, bot!
Speaking from my own experience with being shot (Ball ammo). When your adrenaline is racing throughout your body you don't really feel much, mostly like you got punched in that spot REALLY hard. I've heard from others who've been shot that hollow points are the ones that cause instant excruciating pain. Nowadays I pay no mind to it except every once in a while my leg feels like a torch is being taken to it in that area and the area surrounding it. Adrenaline and Focus are a hell of an anesthetic. I know guys who got hit and didn't know until the adrenaline wore off. Depends on the exact location of the hit and ammo used.
NOT AT ALL to diminish what these officers went through, but aside from officers Steel and Balls clearly sufficient training and drive to do the job, provide an explanation as to possibly why they reacted the way they did.
Real bosses alright 😂 they parked their cruiser directly in front of the guy’s house. Only a complete idiot would do that.
“Hey Bubba, you wanna come fishing today?”
“Sorry dude, no can do. Gotta stay home and ruin my fucking life today”
Yeah, I don't get it. That seemed like a decently nice neighborhood too, so he definitely wasn't doing that badly.

I'm going to totally chastise that Original Officer for his Choice of where and how he positioned his patrol car !!
Mostly because I can (30+ year LE Career and I've been in a couple of firefights)
FYI, bullets, when they hit concrete or asphalt at an angle: Flatten out and travel a few inches above the ground.
The positioning of the patrol car eliminated the use of Wheel Wells as a way to protect their feet. So when you're kneeled down, you are still exposed.
It's also another problem with Small Departments. They get fundamentally the same Basic/Academy training. But after that, it's 'small town thinking' and alot LESS training.
Also, that Corporal (the left handed guy). Muzzling ALL his other Officers with finger INSIDE the trigger guard !!

@@rickyism1576he has that rifle and two magazines in it. They each have a pistol and probably three magazines, maybe four. Why the hell would he waste his ammo firing blindly at a house hoping to hit the suspect? He used most of his first magazine firing and then decided to wait so they aren't totally helpless. Pistols are a joke against a rifle. He kept watching looking for a target and never got one.
If "they just froze up" they wouldn't belooking for a target and applying their own tourniquets and communicating. When you freeze up you freeze up. You're going to complain that they didn't wildly spray of all their ammo and do a frontal assault on the house like in the video games, so they must have "frozen up"?
What, two tourniquets? That's what it takes than, exactly double the amount of one tourniquet?
@justforever96 Suppressing fire while you find somewhere safer to go. Look at Afghanistan footage, 99% of the shots didn’t hit anyone, but it still scared the piss outta the enemy for long enough for them to find better cover.
This insane long backup time is what made me go city instead of county LEO. I was off duty and helped a deputy arrest a guy he was fighting alone on a traffic stop. His backup took 12 minutes to show up code 3. I knew I made the right choice in the moment. My backup is never more than 3 minutes away 90% of the time.
Hearing the one cop "ow ow ow ow" as hes running like its just a sprained ankle had me laughing. Pair a baddasses rad zhere
Tough situation. I was trained if you aren't shooting you're moving, if you aren't moving you're reloading, if you aren't doing anything you're dead. I am glad they got out with minor injuries and will be okay, but I didn't see any return fire or attempt to better their situation. They are lucky he stopped shooting or wasn't really aiming.
Even when he passed off the rifle and yelled at his partner to cover them!
These are police not soldiers, they don't shoot cover fire.
Exactly what I was thinking. I was cringing watching them just sit idle while this guy was throwing lead at them. At least pepper the location he is at with suppressing fire. They are REALLY lucky he didn't maneuver to a different position to engage them.
what must have REALLY made it hard for them to run, was their GIANT BALLS getting in the way of running! Great job boys
"Stay off the air were coming to get you, get ready" goosebumps
cop said haa im hit need a turnicit like he got stung by a bee
There was a legendary K9 Officer Foster in a suburb of Phoenix. One overnight ride along changed my whole life. In 1997ish he told me that every 60 seconds a cop in the US hits the pavement while on duty, either injured in a car accident, fighting a suspect or even dying. I was a kid but I learned quick never to tell anything about that night because nobody has ever believed any part of the story. One kid's compulsive lie of adventures are some cops' regular Friday nights.
😮😔
Imagine a social worker in this situation. That social worker better be packing heat
Didnt think ducks could quack that fast.
The new Dark Horse Mustang though, absolutely incredible.
I feel like that PD is going to get more tactical training...
Sherriff Berrong loves training. They have everything they need
Blount County is very funded but parts are very rural. The county it huge, so it takes time to get everywhere.
They did fine as far as I saw. And not every small town in the US is going to have officers that you will mistake for LAPD SWAT veterans, that's not a realistic expectation. They have been trained, they acted on that training and dealt with the situation.
@@justforever96getting shot twice and not moving is not fine
Every Officer should be this calm.
Everyone that's an armchair quarterback should be einstein smart.
Well I grew up in bars, my dad was 12 years in the marines, he was a tuff s.o.b. so he thought I had too be just as tuff, he taught me hand too hand combat from a young age, I became pretty good at toe 2 toe, but if i got mad and fought, I usually lost, but, if I stayed calm I would win 9 out of 10 fights, these officers after being shot are showing the kind of calm during a storm i'm talking about, it's true, cooler heads prevail, God bless em.
@@BrolandMeeces Emotional Officers are also much appreciated.
What's the endgame in these shootings? You defeat the police in battle and then hide behind a building until your star-level goes down?
This is my worst fear, closest agency is at least 10 minutes away and I'm solo on midnights, as is most of the surrounding agencies.
Never one to miss a Donut Operator video
That’s ironic seeing as donut himself frequently misses uploads
"Alright dammit,i saw that suspects face..
Can someone please explain why he only has one black eye and yall have two fists?"
Right lol
I want to know why the fucker is still above ground.
Precisely why pigs think they can get away with excessive force is the thought of u being on the jury. As someone who has been in LE in the military for over 10 years, u are pathetic
The double punch kick takes years to master.
Because someone was probably standing there recording and saying stuff like police brutality or something so they had to take it easy on the guy.
I’ve loved watching donut for almost 5 years till today when he said he “hates mustangs” 😭😂
I like how u agree with me on Mustangs and the placement of the vehicle
