Hi donut!
Sup man how you doing
Hello
Sup donut
I love how you know that guy was such an asshole 24/7 by how quick the neighbors show up to help kill him 😂
it must have been bird shot??
lmfao
😂😂
well the neighbors were fighting for themselves , because that old mad fucker was a danger to every single soul around him so that really make sense that everyone there wanted him dead or arrested
Didn't even think of it that way but so true
If they haven’t already, this county needs to host a ceremony to formally commend these citizens for stepping in to fight alongside these deputies when they had no obligation to do so.
Knowing washington they wont because since they already violated the second amendment of everyone there, they dont wanna look stupid after this guy shows civilians can take care of themselves and police just as well
It's Washington they're probably already filing paperwork to have that guys firearm seized lmao
@@BruhMoment-fr4zr they probably arrested the one guy for negligent discharge of a firearm and the rest with brandishing. Commie ass state
Exactly. being a civilian and helping the police like this, in a fire fight, is tremendous and that guy should be awarded generously. He wasn't signed up for that, he had no ethical obligations to follow, unlike police, they signed up for it/ He also should be given the best free counseling service, if he has ptsd from it
@@fireemblemistrash75 yeah thats mostly the cities. a lot of rural parts are pretty conservative.

Best to remain calm in a situation like that. I'm sorry I didn't see this was 6 months ago.

@@JustHereForTheDialogue for real
Adrenaline does that for sure, was choked out a year or so back and woke up laughing when i was partially blind from the adrenaline high
Its kinda terrifying what your brain can do
Those two officers are soldiers for carrying on after taking rounds to the face, even if it was bird shot. Still hurts like hell. I'm glad the one fellow got partial vision back, and I empathize heavily with the other officer who now has PTSD from the incident. As someone who also has PTSD, it sucks. Keep getting after it, gentlemen.
I never really understood PTSD until I rolled my truck a year and a half ago. I suffered a TBI and I also now suffer with PTSD. I didn't realize how really and vivid the flashbacks could be. I've got a lot better, but still occasionally I'll have a particularly bad flashback where all 5 senses get involved. For the first few months after the accident I had a difficult time even riding in a car. I'm sorry to hear that you too struggle with it. "It Sucks" is a good PG way to say it. Best of luck to you during your journey towards recovery.
@MrNiccholas I had a bad accident few days before Christmas 2022. We are not our mistakes bro. Stay strong. It just happens tho it's wierd.
@@kileNoe man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm grateful that brain injuries and PTSD are more widely recognized and accepted by society. I don't feel shame or embarrassment telling someone that I have a TBI. I can't imagine trying to go through this when it was socially unacceptable to talk about. It's taken a lot of time, but I've gotten a lot better at recognizing my triggers and working through them so they don't control me. I'm by no means there yet, but I'm working through it a day at a time.
Buckshot will kill you, birdshot will make you wish it was buckshot. That shit seriously sucks to be hit with, especially close range where it hasn't lost any energy and hasn't spread very much. Ask me how I know, lol
@@MrNiccholasI kinda curious but you don’t have to answer at all but what is it like having a flashback of that incident

Those civilians who helped hold down gunfire while the two policemen were able to leave the scene and head to the hospital get huge respect! I’m sad the one has PTSD and the other almost lost his eyesight but glad they’re ok!
True story. I have a farm out in a very rural area, and a few years ago, we had a fella on the Jenny Crank Diet crash in a deep ditch on my property. The aforementioned methileptic then walked away and told a neighbor, while trying to steal his car that he'd had a seizure and crashed. The neighbor called 911 and reported a man who had a seizure and crashed.
While the man went inside to call 911, the tweaker walked to the next house looking inside the cars for keys. 5 minutes later, 1 deputy and an ambu with a paramedic and emt. The deputy tells me he's here to help with a medical call, and I informed him that it wasn't a medical, but was instead just a tweaker who had been awake entirely too long. Since he didn't have backup, I told him that I would go with him up the road to identify him and help until backup arrived.
Long story short, we found him sitting in a neighbors yard on their lawn furniture. As soon as the deputy approached him and asked how he was, the fight was on. Dude started swinging the lawn chair at 😢 , hen the deputy attempted to tase him it was ineffective because one of the probes hit a pack of cigarettes in his filthy Walmart tee-shirt front pocket. He rushed the deputy, completely ignoring me at this point, and managed to take his duty pistol away from him with his meth head strength. As soon as I saw him go for his firearm I pulled my .357 mag that I was carrying around the farm that day. I had him in my sights and when he saw that he had taken the gun away I pulled the hammer back on my S&W. Even in all the chaos he heard the very audible click when the hammer locked back. I was about 3-4 yards away and when he realized I had the drop on him the entire time and was about to hit the kill switch he dropped the officers Glock and directly across the street and locked himself into one of the smallest campers ever made in another neighbors yard.
Not long after backup arrived. They may or may not have whipped his ass when they had to drag him out of the worlds smallest camper. Although there was no gunfight, thank god for the fact I didn't have to live with that. It was definitely an interesting experience. I definitely respect good law enforcement, especially when dispatch sucks. This officer is retired now, but he was definitely one of the good ones just out to help and not get excited about writing tickets. In the one encounter that I had to assist with, I can definitely say it would be extremely difficult dealing with people that stupid on a regular basis.
I have much respect for you willing to help like that my man, I honestly wish I didn't have to live in a city.
and then everyone clapped
Amen brother! I deal with idiots, every shift I work, in emergency services and it's getting worse daily. 🙃
You really brought that experience to life. Thanks for telling the story. Being in law enforcement seems like the most difficult job there is.

I love how many of us know so much legitimate combat theory from video games like CS.
If you think this is a joke, I played CS for like 4 years from 14-18. At 18, I decided I wanted to write a book, so I did some research on combat theory so I could be at least decently accurate. I read a few army manuals and realized that I knew most of the theory from just playing video games like CS. It's actually wild. Now, it's also really important to remember that knowing the theory isn't the same as being able to do it in practice, much less in combat.
This comment gave me a good chuckle lol. Like when playing r6 siege and you call out “he’s doorway don’t peek he hit me” and then your buddy immediately peeks it’s and gets sent to spectator mode.
@@tyler1107 well I got my training from the gov but yea a lot of similar ideas. What works in real life tends to translate well into some games, cs go is a bad example. But more simple ideas like staying out of windows, or gaining sight line to ensure your corner is not rushed is used in cqb. Always know if your enemy prefers violence through action, because they will push that corner

Honestly, I'm not sure I'd help a boy in blue these days. The probability is pretty high that the guy I save today will be throwing me into a gas chamber in six months because his Democrat masters ordered him to. And, as we know, most of the boys in blue just follow orders without thinking about their oaths or the bigger picture.
First off, those Heroes are badasses. Not only did they take rounds and stay in the fight, but they returned to duty within a year. BRAVO GENTS!
Secondly, the secondary Heroes are those in the community who backed up their Officer's. That was some of the most Heroic actions I've seen in a long time! They need to be commended for protecting the Officer's and their community.
"Try that in a small town" comes to mind! If they cover the boys in blue, imagine what would happen to a crowd of troublemakers marched into town meaning harm over a narrative.

Great vid Donut 🎯 That incident is movie worthy💯 Kudos to all good people involved 🫡
Vision loss was my first concern given the location of trauma. It's sad the deputy lost any vision, but they could have both been blinded for life. Good guys with guns DO make a difference.
Man - how he got hit, not just all over his face, but in the corners of his eyes like that? It looks like his actual eyes took a hit too. I cannot fuckin imagine losing my vision. Especially like that. I was temporarily paralyzed for 6 months and thought my life was over for the first half of that before I started to get feeling back - I could not handle the same situation with my eyes
I was afraid of skull fractures, they might be rubber pellets but with enough force I’d imagine they can crack skulls and even just the smallest bone fragment in the brain can cause death. I couldn’t get an accurate idea of the distance but it looked pretty close.

Let's be real, that neighbor for years has probably had wet dreams about taking that dude out and jumped at the opportunity 😂

If he did, it was probably for good cause. If a man will be that big an @ss with police, imagine what he’d be like around his neighbors.

The moment Deputy Thompsen calmly said "I'm losing vision in my left eye" sent shivers down my spine.
Both very really lucky to be alive and i'm glad that they were able to return into active duty.
Still: the health and mental issues both paid as as price of this call are a hefty toll and i wish both only the best for their future!
I know, I was thinking how I would be screaming in pain and probably showing some fear due to lack of vision and knowing that it's a bullet wound that is effecting my eye and not just some scratch. He played it as "professionally" if that's even the word for the situation
@@filmrook6606 I can only assume that it was a combination of years of experience, both being full of adrenaline and both being still 'in the zone' due to the still active shooter on the scene, in that moment.

Win what? They were in a place with small houses and the guy they arrested was relatively old. The old guy has practically nothing of value to win. It's probably why he was drinking himself into oblivion to begin with.
Even if they only get a dollar, it is another giant middle finger to the old guy, which is well deserved.

The fact that they both took hits to the face and stood there ground until back up came speaks volumes for there character. Awesome job to both of them and a speedy recovery to the deputy suffering from PTSD. A former marine and retired police officer I used to work with many years ago took that same hit to the face with bird shot. There was still some of the pellets in there as it was too difficult to remove. Stay safe out there everyone.
Must be some particularly weak birdshot. Not speaking bad about the officers but I hunt goose with #4 buck.

It's bird shot like you use on grouse, quail or pigeons. Really low velocity, you can literally see the wad fly through the air. Still not fun to take to the face tho.

Godspeed to Deputy Thomas, I wish him all the luck and empathy on his journey to mitigate his PTSD. 🙏🏻
They were making a big scene out of nothing. They interfered with a man doing his thing on his own property. They took two to the face for interfering, and then came back to his property in a big way. Maybe leave a man alone.
