Absolutely amazing interview. Now I understand why Finns are considered to be the peace negotiators in the world. This woman is asking really good questions and that's why Mark is giving good answers. Happens rarely.
Over the years when he was clean, he was much nicer to interview. When he was using he would often eviscerate interviewers. This was the year Layne died, he was clean that year. He was usually much nicer to female interviewers. My opinion is it has more to do with his frame of mind than her interviewing skills.
thanks for digging for the interview for us to see. mark certainly was an amazing character, a mysterious one with an unrivalled voice that i will continue to listen to for the rest of my days. RIP mark
Mark was such a great singer. Unique voice. Haunting. Not familiar enough with him as a drummer or guitarist but I’m sure he was good at everything he did. So humble.
@@layniac0146 Sing Backwards and Weep They have the audio version of it where mark lanegan himself reads it.. it’s really good I listen to it all the time
The 90s Jim Morrison. I love his work on Songs for the Deaf but Rated R's 'In the Fade' is phenomenal. Lanegan and QOTSA are an epic combination. Not sure why he's embarrassed by The Screaming Trees' 'Nearly Lost You' though...it's such a nostalgic classic. R.I.P, Lanegan. You're with the best of them jamming around the bonfire in peace for eternity, mate💜🤘🏻. I suffer the same disease so might see you there soon.
@Andy-lz7kc Yeah, I know. He's still always going to be known as that though. His mannerisms while singing, his voice..all very Morrisonesque. He was original and didn't replicate anyone but it's hard not to see the comparison.
Realmente é meio difícil não ver aquele estilo meio Jim Morrison nele mas acho q ele provavelmente não ia gostar dessa comparação e ia te dar um soco no rosto com aqueles olhos vazios e raivosos 😂😂
@@nelliesilvers1210What mannerisms? Jim would dance and girate a lot, really over the top with his gestures while singing. Mark is very much toned down and wouldn't be caught dead dancing. There's no comparison at all, I think you're just saying something because it sounds good.
Such a sad and waste of talent. Lanigan lived rock ‘n’ roll. Unfortunately, it’s the exact thing I would’ve done too. Wherever you are buddy I hope it’s cool., God bless for giving us this music

Mark Lanegan was so sexy. And then there's the voice.❤RIP MARK
That version of autopilot is much better than the album version. Rip mark
Mark was so humble.
Hahahaa Have you read his autobiography???!! Humble.. 😂
@@phnigra1313 , yes. He’s full of self hatred and loathing. Why do you think he did all the drugs? He’s also very self-deprecating in interviews.

Check out the stuff he did with Isobell Campbell and also with Greg Dulli.
I was fortunate enough to have seen the Screaming Trees when they played Lollapalooza in 1996. Luck of the draw I guess.
