My favorite Newcleus song of all time would be “Computer Age(Push the Button” hands down. From a musician’s perspective, the instrumental was filled with brilliant melodies and layers. The bass lines, the beats and percussion, the breakdowns, the synth chords on top added that modal complexity, And that synth solo just brought it home so perfectly. Although the MC brought the perfect amount of groove and delivery, the instrumental composition was where the track really shined, and I believe that’s what the group intended.
