I 5050d a 12 in early 2000s and was nowhere near pro.. this is when (sorry for name drop but it's for credibility) Malto and I + all the other amazing skaters out of kcmo like Ryan Peirce, or Josh White, or Ben Alaniz were like 16 and just fucking going at everything. But Malto was very resilient and had his eyes on the prize 24 fucking 7 and that's why he's where he is today. To be a pro isnt just skill. It's a combination of a lot of things and Malto had it all. I got addicted to H. Peirce never really cared that much at all and doesn't mind just living life how he wants skating. Alaniz got rough with somebody and did some time... my point is that there is A SHIT TON that goes into becoming pro. Hence why it's called a "profession." Most importantly, we skate cos we love it so don't ever quit. And always cherish your skate homies... skate on y'all I love all of you.

He might be one of the most graceful human beings I've ever seen. The way he always managed to catch himself while falling and keep from getting really hurt was incredibly impressive.
That's crazy because when I was like 12ish years old we were skateboarding at murrieta skate park and he was the only one ppl would talk about he was only like 9 or something he was little
I like how he did it too, how he reached out for the front board and slide on the upper part of his board, his body weight kept going forward and inline with the kink rail. Super dope
This is why skateboarding is good for us! Always teaching homies to rise above the impossible through focus, will and perseverance. #thankyouskateboarding
I am almost 30 years old & skated my entire life up until about a few years ago when I quit doing gnarly stuff for a number of reasons mainly because I had to get on with life with no medical coverage and skating wasn't earning me any money so I quit going so hard. I threw myself down stairs and walls for over a decade and let me tell you, when they spoke of bruised heels I totally understand and kind of cringe thinking about pro skaters who abuse their heels and bodies because they go harder then I did for longer and I just imagine what their feet/heels/body will feel like on the future because mine, at not even 30, feels like hell...after a night sleep, or even hours nap, rising to my feet from the bed is almost impossible for a few minutes and hurts like hell..so I can only imagine how these dudes feel / are going to feel but that's the price of being gnarly and I commend all skaters for going hard..
Yea my parent used to tell me if I keep skating and eating shit all the time when I get older I’m gonna probably be in a wheel chair they were right I still skate tho
It's a touching story and all, but in general we should be finding ways to fix the damage (skateboarding and age-related) instead of just giving up on what we love doing.
oijqwoijdowiqjdqw He didn’t quit skating, he just quit doing gnarly stuff, like big drops, I just turned 27 and I dont do big rails or stairs anymore, Im in the same boat man after so many injuries

Honestly. I was a skateboarding frantic in the early 2000’s and stopped watching skateboarding all together until now. The tricks are unbelievable. It’s insane.
Dam that rail is sick they need to put rails like this in skate comps to see what else skaters will come up with. I can see a few other pretty cool lines and trucks being done on this
Holy fuck. I used to go to school there. Had an art class right there and back then never even thought that rail was skateable let alone do something like that on it. Fucking insane.
not sure if i'm correct but i think he landed it first try, that's what i've heard anyway. guess there's not much of a "war" there if that's the case haha
back in the early 2000's when I was studying at SBCC, I always looked at that rail. unreal combo and skating by Chase!

I love the my war series. This is what skating truly is.
How did this not win trick of the year?!
Noah C jamie foys front crook on el toro was first try...
Rodrigo Cisneros that’s true. I think Foy’s and Webb’s were both more deserving than that switch back tail Tiago did

agree
you must have done both of them to know how hard they are

Chase talking makes me want to blow my nose
Ed Sled or maybe just break his back into place. Super fuckin nasally

Shit. didnt notice it until i saw this comment. thanks man, you ruined chase for me. im hoping its the mic
I have nothing but the best things to say about chase... the fact that he said at the end, “that was for you guys” means everything. Yeah chase! 🤙🏼
Huge shoutout to this young lad. Determination, drive, coming soooo close for 12 hours worth of tries. Thanks Thrasher

insane! skateboarding is unreal nowadays. pretty soon people are gonna be doing tech ledge tricks down El toro

Just kidding😆
john redcorn el toro does not have a ledge
john redcorn i think you mean a hubba which still el toro does not have
Watching him roll away brought the biggest smile to my face. Kudos Chase!
Chase Webb is the man. He constantly pushes himself beyond his limits. Make my words; he'll be in the ranks of Mullen, Hawk, Caballero, etc. one day.
