Being a South African and currently living just north of Cape Town I enjoyed your planning so much. I do hope you get to visit soon. But enjoy your sewing.
I'm also from S.A. and thoroughly enjoyed your video! I think your travel wardrobe will be perfect for a trip to South Africa. Maybe I can suggest that you extend your 'trip' to go on a safari in the Kruger National Park as well.😉Thank you once again for the fabulous free pattern suggestions.🤗
Wow, thank you so much! I am really happy to hear that. Maybe I should make a part two for a safari wardrobe! 💡 Kruger sounds like a magical place as well!
Definitely make your shorts and the Chelsea linen tee out of the white as well. That will create so many extra combos. White is also a wonderful colour in hotter weather! And imaginary white clothes don’t get dirty on an imaginary CapeTown holiday! Bonus!
What fun Katie. Loved when you did this last year and this year was even better! My son and DIL lived in Pretoria for 3 years. I never visited but the photos and videos from South Africa were amazing. Thanks-Claudia
This is the first time I have seen your channel and I am so impressed. I want to make all of these pieces and go to Cape Town at least in my imagination.
Kudos on your creativity in putting together this video. With 60 bloggers putting out content for this challenge, you definitely stand out, in a good way. Well done.
You have me looking up flights 😉. I love the pink floral deess and the cute shorts. Honestly all these patterns would be wonderful for the capsule travel wardrobe. Time to look through my own fabric stash and daydream about the trip.
I absolutely love your plans! Not my colors at all, but I like how your fabric choices coordinate and also the classic yet feminine patterns you choose. I would totally make one or both of those tops in the white linen as well to multiply your options.
Some great wardrobe ideas for your trip to South Africa. We went several years ago to Cape Town & visited most of the areas you mentioned but don’t forget to go to Robin Island & if you can do a safari. We also did ‘walking with lions’ which was really special. We hired a car & did a lot of mileage all over SA but beware of the huge potholes in the roads. We were lucky that we also had a week with relatives in Pietermaritzburg, spent time at the beach Margate & several days in Durban. 😊
I like a lot of your choices: the robe, shorts and the tee. Fabrics are ones I love. I tried looking up this challenge and all I found was pictures on instagram. I cannot locate the rules, Probably too late now for me to enter it anyway,
It’s not too late!! The rules are just the 4 I mentioned in the video. You have until March 31! @frugalisima and @theyorkshiresewgirl are the hosts and they have more detailed videos about the challenge on their channel!

I’ve very excited about this imaginary trip! I love your creativity.
Thank you! I was so excited too!
I had totally foegotten about the Mood Rosalie Shirtdress! It can be a lovely kind of timeless piece in my oppinion depending on the fabric.
Totally agree! Love a shirtdress!
Great fabrics in your stash. Thanks for the holiday inspiration, a great approach.
Thank you! 😊
