Absolutely brilliant videos, really informative and love the design of the spoiler. As well as being entertaining, often comical, your facial expressions are priceless 😂 Looking forward to the how to on the rear seat delete, big thumbs up 👍 keep up the great work..
Thank you so much :) I try my hardest and I've learnt loads :) we have a couple more videos recoded but it's finding the time to edit them! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment ❤️ Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage Both you guys are doing great, the videos are really helpful, informative and of course entertaining. Still saving up for my R53 project and seeing some of the things you have both done gives me some inspiring ideas :)
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Preston Kaiser I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Enjoyed the video guys. I would recommend putting masking tape along the hatch/door. You can mark through the holes in the end plates with a pencil. Centre punch as mentioned through the tape and leave it on while you drill through, it will protect the paint if drill doesn't behave. I enjoyed the real life experience and tribulations of working on Jon's car, the ups and downs along the way and final relief and happiness with the finished result. Sorry for your loss.
Hi Graham thanks so much for taking the time to comment, we didn't even think of that! great tip!! we thought we would try and put a bit more of the frustration of working on cars in this one and also in the videos going forward, we had a right laugh editing this one and looking back on bits that are just so menial! Thank you so much for your condolences I really appreciate that, Miriam xx
Greetings from Latvia . enjoyed watching the install video . Like most I was in my head saying centre punch as you were starting to drill the pilot holes ! Glad to see you had your hair tied back as you were drilling , long hair and drill are a deadly mix .no need to worry about the little scratches because the side pieces of the spoiler hide them all. great post guys .....sorry to hear about your Grandad ..........Harry
Hole punch is a great shout :) not everyone has them though when we do stuff we try and keep it as home brew as possible but a punch is definately the best way :) thanks you so so much for watching and taking the time to comment :) Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage sorry late reply I only just see you replied which I want to say thank you for 😊 that's okay since I commented I see how to take the back pillars off and I assume you place the spoiler in the existing screw wholes, regardless I will be ordering this I just have to sort my valve stems out with unfortunately seems to be a expensive job 😭😭
Thanks for asking! One of our customers did this and ended up with scratches over his roof where the line wore through the paint... So we opted for this, yes it's slower but no damage to the paint. Lots of people do use fishing wire successfully though :) hope this helps, Miriam xx
Have you ever changed the transmission oil on a pre 2004 R50? I have no clue how to get to the fill plug. I can find it, but when I get a spanner on it, the subframe prevents the spanner from actually moving. Am I missing something obvious?!
Hi Paul, I haven't personally done this but there is a great write up here I have found for you :) www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/stock-problems-issues/233567-r50-base-cooper-transmission-fluid-changing-instructions-with-pics.html if you need some more assistance let me know and I'll speak to our mechanic 😁 all the best, Miriam xx

Top tip . Before u drill Ur pilot hole get a center punch and mark the hole with it . It'll stop the drill moving . Drill Ur pilot hole can me 1.5 mm then drill up in 3mm but treat the holes as uv just taken all the protection IE. Paint off and it will rust 👍
You can if you want, but we supply the blanking stickers for the holes so you can either fit a smaller spoiler, or use the blanks depending on the look your going for. Hope this helps, Miriam xx
Oh I see what you mean... Yea you will need to keep your old one (if it will fit, not fitted one of these to an R56 yet) or if it doesn't fit you will need to fit the R56 one spoiler (this is what you do on the r53s) I hope this helps, sorry for not understanding, Miriam xx
Hi Kees, hope you are well, no it doesn't :) we have had the spoiler tested by 3 MOT testers in the UK and all 3 said it would pass no problems :) thanks so much for watching and buying one of our spoilers, Miriam xx

Yea and no... lol we still get them, BUT they are taking 10-15 weeks at the moment, so we have taken them off until we can find another company to make them and a different company to do the powdercoating... they are just taking so much time, and people aren't willing to wait, so we have made the decision not to sell them for a bit :( I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. Miriam xx

I see, you will need to type the colours you would like it to be if that's ok? In the box that allows typing describe how you want it and we will confirm it all before it goes into powder coat :) if you have any more trouble drop us an email and we can send you an invoice for it :) Regards, Miriam xx

You probably can :) we haven't tried it though... We opted for tip ex but a punch would definately make it easier :) Miriam xx

Serious question why not use fishing line to cut the adhesive tape so you don't have to heat and pry as much?

With a Cooper S r56 do you have to remove the spoiler and replace it like other gp wings?
You can if you want, but we supply the blanking stickers for the holes so you can either fit a smaller spoiler, or use the blanks depending on the look your going for. Hope this helps, Miriam xx
