He used to hate minis... but we've worn him down! The customer came in with a wrecked engine, and he bought it and fixed it. Haha! Finally, in the fold :) Thanks for watching and following! Miriam xx
Brilliant vid and looks like a good piece of kit! I’ve had a mid life crisis and just bought my first Mini Countryman (R60 ‘S’) as a family car. But now can’t stop looking at little mods to do on it! Would like to see some R60 content! 🙂
We don't get many r60s come through our doors annoyingly :( they seem to be quite illusive! I will see what we can do for you, though, next time we come in :) if we can ever help though, please do get in touch, www.modamini.co.uk :) thanks so much for watching and commenting :) Miriam xx
Thanks for the awesome video. Suggestion: May be too little too late, but you should definitely get rid of that noisemaker behind the airbox. You'll have more room to work on things (like this mod) and it helps air flow to the turbo, which that little monster steals away ever so slightly. You'll love the extra room too.
Nice video! More of these please. I had my Mini Cooper S R53 now about 3 weeks. Getting it in nice condition. previous owner didn't take care of it at all... In some point need to order many parts from you, hard to find parts here in Finland.
No way you're watching from Iceland?!?! Still blows my mind!! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment :) when you are ready for parts we can sort you out no problems :) we can send to Iceland with no issue :) thanks so much for watching and commenting :) Miriam xx
hello, I got this kit for my cooper S N18 2011......not installed yet.....in S mode there are nice pop bangs, which my wife and I love.......any idea if the pop bangs stop if AEM intake installed? I actually called AEM in USA and they were not sure.
They shouldn't stop but at the same time don't expect them to get louder or more often, it wont really make to much difference in that sense. Thank you so much for watching! Miriam xx
Unfortunately not... the scuttle panel is in the way on the R60's unless you are happy to cut away some of it, then i think it could be made to fit BUT we haven't tried this... Thanks so much for watching and commenting :) Miriam xx
Yea, it does sound great! Wish it didn't have the dump valve on it though as would be nice to get a true sound test but definitely loads better though :) throttle feels better to but that might be a placebo :) thanks for watching! Miriam xx
I say on the manifold cover, if the company can't send you one undamaged; then they don't need their name on the cover. Sand it back to metal and put your own color on it. Then you have a nicer looking piece w/o some company's name ruining the engine bay.
That might be the way we end up going. we will just have to see how it goes. We thought we had an issue with it, but I think it's something else as we fitted a new cover and wad still the same after, so that good :) thanks for watching! Miriam xx
Great to see some new content!
Can't wait to see more R53 videos (hint hint 😊)
Definitely need to get some more R53 content... ours needs a rebuild at the moment... so maybe that?!?!?! Thanks so much for commenting! Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage an engine rebuild would be cool as something I dream of doing for mine one day.
R56 rear arm conversion is also interesting. :)
Can't wait to contact this company with my wishlist for my R53.
We can't wait to help you :) It would be a pleasure to help in any way we can! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Miriam xx
That was a good bit of work, and it's a very nice installation, you did a really nice job.
Thank you so much! Not sure it was the best but definitely not the worst (I hope!) Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Miriam xx
Great to see you back.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate you watching :) Miriam xx
Can't believe Tim has bought an R56 !!

This is a great idea! Only take a few mins to take it apart! Thanks so much for the idea! Miriam xx
Epic intro!

What about the hood scoop attachment?

Would these fit a mini one 1.6 auto that is an R56?
Will that same kit fit in a 2016 R60 S, ALL4?

@@ModAMiniGarage can you recommend a similar design for the 2016 R60 S ALL4? I'm having a hard time finding one with the box around the filter.
Definitely sounds more violent now! How does it feel on the road?

The intro ☠️
Will be great to compare with other induction kits for R56 on dyno.
Market is full of them AEM, Airtec, Direnza, K&N etc.

Not a bad idea at all! Would love to do this but will need to save up for them hahahaha thanks so much for watching and commenting :) Miriam xx
