More 53 videos plz!! Took me back to 31/3/2013 when i received my Orrange G-Wing, and you back then had that DS/black/orange combo, still one of my favorites out there(not with the purple wheels though :) )... Wing btw is still in perfect condition(never painted fitted as it was). Top quality product! Jealous of this new badge on the blade though, the bolt covers and the gaskets :).
Glad to hear your Orranje G-Wing is still going strong ☺️ The badge, covers (numberplate bolt covers) and gaskets can be supplied separately and retro fitted, so don't feel left out 😁
Thank you for the video! Years ago you would have needed a video like that, I sold mine because I was desperate to assemble it because something didn't fit.
Hi thanks for watching. Firstly it does look 👌🏼. As for does it do anything, well the Mini GP has the same wing and the Mini challenge cars run the g-wing from Orranje so assume it may do something if used in a race series, although for me I fitted it purely for the look
17:35 Talk about an understatement. Maybe I just got unlucky with my one, but getting the brackets to line up with the holes was incredibly difficult even with bending them. The aluminium brackets are pretty poor quality, they really let down the rest of the package. If there's one area left for improvement with the G-Wing, it's definitely those aluminium brackets. Edit: Now that I think about it some more, it may not have been the brackets but the holes drilled in the blade piece being slightly off, either way, putting it together was not fun to put it lightly.
Thanks for watching, I’ve not had an issue with the two I have owned recently so maybe you got unlucky with that one but it’s worth you passing on constructive feedback to Orranje if you haven’t already
Hi bud, just like to say wot a lovely looking r53 u have got, also where did u get your plastic inserts from on the rear bumper at the bottom if u don’t mind me asking mate
Thanks for that mate,my son wants some for his r53,do they just clip in or did u use tiger seal,my lad is on his 2nd r53,he’s just got himself a very clean 55 plate unmodified so he starting from stock
I assume you mean these: orranje.co.uk/product/gp-rear-bumper-inserts I've fitted a few pairs of these over the years and tend to use hot glue. If he wants any inspiration or any questions, point him towards my youtube account or insta: instagram.com/tweedbean/
Hi thanks for watching. I our purchased a used one from Millsys Autos, who break Mini’s for spares. There isn’t a specific link, you have to buy a used one from somewhere like Millsys Autos, eBay etc or go to your local Mini dealership and buy a new one.
How did you exactly fit the left and right panel trims into the pillar trims or even not hitting the glass? Can you please show how it is heated or so? Thanks🍁
Heated? I’ve shown you the exact process in the video, no heating needed. I don’t quite understand your question. The side brackets are shaped to wrap around the edge of the glass and bolt into boot lid. There is naturally an air gap between the rear glass edge and the c pillar. On the R53 there is some place trim down the side of the rear 1/4 glass which you can remove to give more clearance and is recommended in offices instructions/the video. For an R56 you don’t need to remove anything.
The big speedometer is redundant - it would be nice to remove the big circular speedometer over the gear shift - is this possible? My 2013 mini has the small speedometer and odometer over the steering wheel which is sufficient for me.
I’m sure it’s possible as it’s is held in with a few screws however what would you replace it with? A double din head unit? Blanking plate? You would lose the fuel gauge which last time I checked was pretty useful 😉
m looking at the website right now, i got spoiler side finishes selected as gloss black, but if i want a gloss wing finish do i just select "Grey Primer - Gurney Tab / Duck Tail"? Or do i click just "Grey Primer"? A little confused by this.
If you want a gloss black wing I would suggest picking an option with the word black in it as grey primer is exactly what it says, grey primer ready for you to paint. If your roof on your mini is Black II 668 then go for that option 👍🏼
As James mentions, if you wanted a gloss black blade, you would need to choose the 'Painted Black II 668' blade option - I have renamed this to 'Painted Gloss Black (Black II)' to make it clearer. If you prefer to paint the blade yourself, the 'Grey Primer' blades are primed, ready for paint.
Yes, the side bracket is hitting the C-Pillar trim moldings for both sides. Any remedies? How about shaving the edge of the C-Pillar? How do we remove that pillar trim anyway? Tnx

Thanks for watching. Certainly trying to find more R53 contents, it’s just difficult when so much is done already.

Hello, i have a question, this spoiler really worth, like it is doing something good when you drive or it is just for visual?

We'll be re-releasing the Orranje GP Style Bumper Inserts soon, as we've just re-molded them to improve on the previous design!
Great video mate, Can you share a link to a mini 1 spoiler since I have the S spoiler? Thank you

When putting the metal brackets on do you put the small bolts or the medium bolts?
From memory they are all the same size. It’s only the bolts that attach the wing to the car that should be a different size
