That FJ400 gelled rim light was 🔥
Thanks Eli!
You heard it here first, you can't spell Westcott without the W! Once again, stunning work.
Appreciate it, thanks for watching!!
I am getting back into senior portraits, and I'm working on quick and easy set ups. I love the simplicity of this set up. 2 lights will be plenty when trying to work fast, and the gelled kicker really sets that shot apart in my opinion. Thanks for posting!
Your idea of wide , mid and tight on the same pose to get 3 different photos is genius. I have incorporated this into my shoots and it has made a world of difference. The clients love the options and it helps with up sales. Always great videos.
Glad it was helpful!
Matt Hernandez does it again! I'm a sucker for a good one light set up, so those were my favorites for sure! Loved how you posed her on the fallen tree. I need to slow myself down and perfect my posing skills!
Same here. Love the dramatic one light portrait
Beautiful work, Matt! Well done!
beautiful forest, beautiful girl, beautiful lighting!!!!! Thank you so mucho!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
Thank you!
Welcome!
Amazing location and lighting! Thank you Matt & Westcott!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad you liked it thank you!
Glad I'm not having to choose - I liked all of them. I just got a FJ400 but haven't got to really use it yet
You need to get to work haha. They are great! Thank you so much 😊
I really liked the use of the gelled rim light. Excellent work!
Glad you like it!
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration and information. Ohio looks great. 📸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job Matt & the Westcott crew!!
Thanks James!!
Thank you!
@@WestcottLightingwhat is the cost of photo shoot with two ppl (cameraman and lightning)? Is it hourly?
Great shots! Great video!
Thanks for visiting!
Hey man! I really appreciate your knowledge
Sure thing!
Shooting that Sal Cincotta technique, tight middle wide vert. & horiz. 👍🏼📸 I do the same thing. Keep up the great work. ✌🏼
Hi Matt, could you add some specifics on the FJ400 settings for some of these? Love knowing the camera specifics but lighting settings add even more.
How nice it must be to have massive, open, unpopulated locations where the cops don't come and shut you down two minutes into a shoot! 😂
I feel that.
Ohio does have its benefits! 🤣
I sure wasnt complaining 😂
Ohio does have many places like this!
Love this video and everything it offers. I do have one question though. Can you please link the standard reflector with the magnetic CTO gel that was used for the second light in this video?
Thanks
Thanks for watching! The reflector and gels are included with the FJ400 Strobe!
@WestcottLighting Thanks for a great video! QUESTION: I am new to fish photography and was just wondering why and how you get by with using such a low shutter of 1/60? When using flash - what do you use the shutter speed, the aperture and the ISO to control? Thanks in advance ;-)
Man stunning work Matt! Really enjoyed this video as Im considering the Fj400 to start doing portraits myself.
Awesome, thank you!
When I read senior I always think 60+ age people. I always forget that’s what you use for college kids.
You’re probably not the only one 😂
Should make a world lighting assistant appreciation Day!
I wish there’s more photos as examples!
WoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW
Love this! Can I ask what type of monopod you have attached to the light to extend it? Looking for a good one for this exact purpose! Thanks!
It's the Westcott Mini-Boom Arm: www.fjwestcott.com/products/mini-boom-arm-weight-bag
@@WestcottLighting Thanks so much! Going to look into purchasing one right away!
Thank you for asking this, I was coming to ask the exact same question!!
niiice pictures!! OHIO!! My state!
Thank you!
How do you determine what the best location is for your off camera light? Camera left or right?
Nice
Very nice
Great video. Hey, Matt, at 3:09, is your assistant holding a light stand, or is that some Westcott lighting pole thing? LOL sorry for the silly question.
It's our mini boom arm! www.fjwestcott.com/products/mini-boom-arm-weight-bag
Haha there are no silly questions! I think they answers it 😊 Thank you!
发育很好
Were you at 5500 K the whole time or did you change it due to the gel ?
What Camera was this
Matt was using the Sony Alpha 1
Where in Ohio!?
Oak Openings Metropark, just outside of Swanton.
2:54min is a nice photo. However it looks not right (=natural) to me, since the sun is coming from behind and "artifical sun" is coming from camera right (and have different colors as well).
Where in Ohio is that?
Oak Openings Metropark, just outside of Swanton.
honestly all of them were.
You know what I hate about this brand of photography is people just slap a 1.2 lens on their camera and charge absurd amounts for ‘okay’ photos
Good thing I used a 2.8 and lighting for this one 😂😂😂
or some of us who love using an f/1.2 lens wide open and love using OCF :)
