I’ve owned dozens of canoes and still own two. They are great, especially for floating camping trips. Now that my sons are both bigger they are a lot more fun in a canoe. We are doing a week long canoe float next summer up in Minnesota. One of our other scoutmasters grew up there. Has talked it up so much we can’t wait we doing the planning now.

I have a 2016 12T. Only thing i have done to it is on the stern where it has been dragged, is use JB Water weld to build it back up. Works great and i built it up higher than original. It tracks much better now. I love this yak. For $600 it is very stable. Easy to stand in also. Not good in rapids at stage 2 tho. You will be going thru it backwards. Only thing i wish they had done to it is give it a way to raise the seat. Great vid on the yak.

    • @greatamericansurvival

The 12T is a very stable kayak. But it’s heavy and depending on how big you are it’s not easy to stand and fish. I had my wife a 10T and replaced it with a Pelican 10 foot challenger kayak. It’s Lightweight and easy to paddle for half the cost. My wife just wants to paddle around the lake jump in and swim a bit and be able to relax in the sun while I fish. What about your wife?

As hot as it was this summer my feet got hot a couple of times. With me having very very wide feet with very wide toes they do not make a water shoes that's wide enough for my foot. My wife got me some Crocs and I had to cut a section in the toe box a both Crocs for two of my toes to hang out just put them to fit on my feet.( a funny DIY) it look funny when I would wear them but it was the only close to shoe that would fit my foot like that.
