@@TUFFBASS It's a great entry level Kayak fishing boat and it get's someone started in sport and they can work their way up to a Hobie or Native Kayak.
My brother has me interested in kayaks. Unfortunately, he lives in Georgia and I in Texas. I will mostly be going alone so I was considering this one as that front deck looks like a great place for my 25lb dog to hang out. Thanks for the video.
I only had one chance to take my 12T out on the water, it was fun. Had my 50lb dog in the spot behind the seat. About to get a drysuit so I can take it out in cold weather. I haven't started to look at mods yet but it should be fun.
@TUFFBASS you sure did. I live in Sun Parie and work in Madison. I hope you can share some great areas to go kayaking, not necessarily fish. Thank you. I've been going out by watertown on rock river, again thank you
You said it was scary to cast on and couldnt imagine having a fish on, so I'm wondering how is it catching fish since you didn't catch any in the video.
I ended up returning this kayak as mine was warped which I discovered after making this video. I decided to get an Old Town sportsman 120 and it is WAY more stable. I can stand on my new kayak and do a full 360 and grab stuff behind the seat etc. the ascend is a good budget kayak, but with budget kayaks come cons such as quality, durability, stability etc. the cons for this yak ended up outweighing the positives for my use case.
As far as keepers i would recommend a stringer that you can tie off on the side of your yak. Other than that a cooler coule possible fit behind the seat instead of a crate!
I’ve been looking for a yak myself my boats are a lot of work taking out and my friends never want to go so I’m usually by myself any bang for the buck yaks you recommend? I was on one a long time ago but I couldn’t tell you what it was but it was basic for sure but every fish I hooked I had no control I hung a 3 pounder in it and it drug me across the pond 😂 ended up getting to the Lilly’s but I managed to get her in just wasn’t crazy about that
Take a look at this one herebassproshops.vzck.net/vnY5z3, You can always get a more budget kayak but honestly you would be very happy with either the 10T or 12T. They are both very good quality and in my opinion best bang for the buck at the price.
It's strange, but at Cabela's/BassPro the reviews on the 10t are not great (lots of stability complaints) and the 12t are really good (lots of stability compliments). I don't know enough about kayaks to speculate why, but there is a significant difference between the comments on the two kayaks. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
@@Bricknose5.0 They are both the same width so if loaded properly there shouldn't be much difference. The problem for some could be they are overloading them. Most people with experience say to stay between 20 to 30 percent below the max weight to be in the best performance range. That also includes not just you but all your gear and your dog as a few people say they bring with them. If you plan to bring a lot of stuff or are a little on the larger side I would go with the 12 foot for only $100 more. Happy paddling!
I think complaints about stability may come from inexperience in kayaks! Also sit on kayaks tend to feel a little awkward if you're new to the sit ons vs the sit ins
I'm buying a 12t this weekend, found a killer deal on marketplace and had to jump on it. It's one of the kayaks I've had my eye on for a long time (it was either this or the H12 I was going to get), even in the color I want. It's going to be a massive upgrade from my current Lifetime Stealth.
@@TUFFBASS Sadly I didn't get it. We had a prearranged day to meet, today, and when the seller finally responded to me it was to tell me he'd sold it to someone else. So that sucks, a little broken heart going on right now.
Just clip a trolling motor to the side behind the seat .no crazy mounts needed like so many people make .just literally clamp to the side and Throw the battery in and go. Works like a charm
This is the 12t so why comment about the 10t? Also is it a kayak that you have or had? Or are you just an internet troll that hears others bad experiences and you just have to say the same thing?

Just bought this used with a trolling motor. Super hyped to get it in the water once this hurricane passes
Oh heck yea dude you will love the kayak! Hopefully you get out there soon! Remember to subscribe if you haven’t yet!
The Kayak is great for Lakes and flat rivers. It's also great for beginners to get hooked into Kayak Fishing.
I definitely agree!

Awesome! The 12t sure is an amazing kayak and that is pretty cool you could take turns dog!
Great video, thank you. I have the Asend H10 and love it. What part of Wisconsin are you in?
Hey thabks for commenting and hopefully I earned a sub! I am in the Madison Wisconsin area!

Hey that’s awesome I appreciate the support! You should try the Madison chain of lakes, lake Wingra is also great for kayaking!
So what type a truck do you have to transport it and how do you strap it down
I throw it on top of my Ford fusion and I strap it down on my roof rack
A truck is a truck, just throw a strap over it and it'll hold it in place

Can someone answer me, what do you do with the keeper fish while kayak fishing? Thanks - I'm def getting one.

@@TUFFBASS looking forward to the mod videos I’ll probably end up with the same kayak 🤙
@@daltonbradshaw1391 heck yea I’m pumped to modify this thing out! (If you order it online make sure to use my link ;)
I got the 128x from Ascend. It tracks great. 95 pounds empty. It’s one step down from the 133x. Stability is good.
That must be fun to fish from!
Do you think the 128x would fit on my roof rack? I have a Honda CRV...
Is this better than the pelican catch mode 110 you think?
I think it most likely os, this is probably tje best fishing kayak hnder 1000 in my opinion
what is the beam measurement ? Thanks for sharing
I am unsure
@@TUFFBASS thanks the site said 31 inches
@@FishingTheBank ot course sorry i couldnt be more help!
Can I use it as a kayak without fishing
I would say so, but at that point I’m not sure this is the right kayak for you.
Just picked a 12t up. How does that onyx life jacket feel with the seat?
The life jacket is amazing, it works great with any sit on top kayak seats. I love my onyx
@@TUFFBASS Thanks for the reply! Going to go ahead and order one.
