    Hi! Your videos are so incredibly helpful! I am currently making a candle with vanilla extract essential oil in it and two other essential oils. When it burns, I can smell the other two oils but not the vanilla extract essential oil. Do you know of a way to make it’s scent come through? Thank you in advance!

    Hey everyone! I just want to clarify that whenever I say the term 'health data sheet' I do indeed mean 'safety data sheet' 😂 My mind was clearly too frazzled after a hectic working week! Apologises but I hope that clears any confusion up 😊 If you have any questions then please leave them below. Thanks!! xo

    I love essential oils, I really want to blend them in the future once I am more established and can have a whole line where I create a CLP for each scent. I agree, I found the strength to be really great! I didn't try out EO's for the longest time as I had heard they wouldn't perform. Neom do great EO candles. Great video! What are your favourite scents from Candle Shack?

      They're great aren't they, but I can't help but feel they still get a bad rep for not being as 'performing'. I love the uplight & relaxing oils from CS, and also the ginger lily and ylang ylang 😊 Where do you tend to get your EO from? x

    Help! Loved the Candle Shack but they are in Uk, I am in the US. Do you have any US companies you have found to be of the same quality as Candle Shack?

    Hello, I have tried making soy wax essential oil candles with and without blends many times. But I got a burn or ignition-like smell when I lit the candle rather than a fragrance that I blended.
    Even tired different essential oil brands...
    May I know what is causing that? That will be a huge help. Thank you.

      I saw in another video this issue you described is caused by using either too much oil and not blending it well enough. It is recommended to use less essential oil as it does not have stabilizers that fragrance oils contain and is very pure.
      Hope this helps. Good luck 😊

      I’m still learning myself.. what I can say is make sure they’re therapeutic grade and trusting brand, maybe play around with your wick (I know that’s super important), put them in at lower temp- like 125-150/160, and I wouldn’t use more than 8% !

    Any idea about trying to use Essential oils with a very low flash point? Between 40 and 50°C? If you are pouring your wax between 55 - 60°C?

    • @thecandlejourney2500
      @thecandlejourney2500  3 года назад

      What wax are you using? 😊 Does the candle supplier you got your wax from recommend pouring at 55-60c?

      @@thecandlejourney2500 beeswax. Didn't get the wax I am using up from a supplier although I will in the future. Currently researching about flash points and realised that some of the scents I am experimenting with are in the low 40s. My normal pouring temperature is under 60

      @@RTG1031 Hmm yes, that's when it becomes tricky with essential oil! Have you tried pouring at 40 and seeing how the candle turns out? Might be worth a shot. Sorry, I'm not much help as I haven't tried beewax!

    • @RTG1031
      @RTG1031 3 года назад +1

      @@thecandlejourney2500 that's fine, I understand. I've never poured that low before although someone on FB forum has said that the flash point shouldn't matter unless you are making gel candles.
      Will have a try at 45 and see what the Hot throw is like.
      Thanks anyway

    I made beef tallow candles the other day with essential oils. I used an 8oz jar and measured a cup of tallow that I melted. I stirred in 40 drops of oil. It’s not that strong. Any tips?!

      Use 1oz of oil because it burns off during the blending with the heat if pouring in wax at 185F
