Did you mean this method? Thank you very much to be back. And I wish you all the best with the new house. I always liked your grey wall very very much.

Yes! That's the bind off method used.
I'll miss the concrete wall a lot too. 🥲

For the marketplace video I’d love to see your outfit of the day, a short vlog of the event itself and mostly just you talking about what you bought and what you’re gonna make with it😊

I’m so glad to have you back. Selling and moving house are really stressful times. Enjoy your knitting when you can and don’t apologise when you can’t post. Were here for you when you want to chat knitting 😊🥰

Great podcast and makes as usual! My suggestion for the festival content is not to interview the booths and get b roll of the festival but rather talk to the attendees and ask them to give us the pattern and yarn name of their festival knit and to model it for us and document the people the vibe the knit-fits!

Congrats on the new home Melissa! I can imagine how busy summer would be with a preschooler and planning for a move. I've been there myself and it can be overwhelming. I'm proud of you at how well you have been prioritizing what works best and sticking with it. Your projects are beautiful. Enjoy Flock and just follow your lead. You have a good eye and I'll always come back for your content when you are able to get it ready.

Congratulations on the new home. It's always fun to have the space with a little one. Love all your projects. Summers are hard with kids. I keep telling myself it's ok if he's bored at times. I'd be happy to see what you see at Flock since I can't go. Lol. Have fun! Kimberly

Welcome back and congrats on the new home!
I remember browsing some dress patterns on Ravelry and saw the one you’re knitting now…but then I saw it’s knit on tiny needles and fingering yarn and said nooope 😅
If you do end up taking videos at Flock I’d be interested in the yarn - what’s the squish factor? How do the colors look? Is it next to skin soft? Etc 🐑

Hi! I’m just down the road in Fort Langley. Congratulations on the house purchase. Thanks for another great podcast. I went to Flock last year but not going this year. I was just in Seattle for a baseball weekend down there. Have a great time!

So glad you took some time for you, but it’s nice to have you back. Congratulations on the house! Thank you for sharing how valuable you find knitting time in motherhood. Just watched your video, knitting on the porch while my son napped and it was so therapeutic. Knitting has become a big part of my identity since becoming a mother and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Can’t wait to hear of your trip!

Like you, I used to detest working with fingering weight and small needles. As an old lady pushing 80, I have some arthritis in my hands and fingers. Surprisingly I find working on lighter weight yarn and tiny needles to be a pleasure. I don't need to grasp the needles much at all and wooden needles are great for my plant fiber yarns.
I also have learned to alternate continental and English knitting to be kind to my hands.

Great video and so happy to see you back! Congrats on the big house purchase, very exciting stuff! I have the Melides dress (in olive!) in my Queue but hearing this I might hold off -- sounds like there’s a re-release in the works?

Thanks! Yes, the Melides Dress pattern has been updated with more sizes and wording re-worked so I would recommend holding off for a couple months.

Hi Mel! I’m one of those people who love knitting with small needles. I love the fabric you get and it lets me layer my projects in colder weather. I have bought the Top Sol pattern and am going to knit it with some Italian dk wool I boughton sale. I intend to wear it as a winter vest

Nice to see you back. Congrats on the new house, very exciting! Your vest claire turned out beautiful. I have only just started mine and highly doubt it will be ready for flock but we'll see. I am currently blocking another summer tank that will probably make it to flock. I have tickets for the rooftop event as well. I'll definitely come say hi.

Hi there ….Just curious what your favourite yarns shops in Vancouver are? I’m from Mission so it would be easy for me to drive to Vancouver and check them out.

My go-tos are Urban Yarns and Wet Coast Wools. I find Urban Yarns is better for browsing and has more variety whereas I go to Wet Coast Wools for specific projects. In the future I would like to visit Baaad Anna's.

Okay but I also have no plans for yarn shopping and I have too much already. Does that mean I will not buy much?? We shall see!
And I will most definitely help you film!

To be honest, I don’t watch podcasts that show Flock Fest, Rhinebeck or any other similar shows. I personally don’t find them interesting.
