That place needs to get cleaned up a bunch of people that are so tweaked out live there. We (truck drivers) always have problems with them when we pick up at that warehouse that’s next to it.
Stole the vehicle from someone at the complex and blew out of there at full speed... only way to do that sort of damage is to make 60+. Thanks, defunders, for enabling assholes like this. Police won't be able to process the evidence for a year or more.
Unless that SUV was stolen, they'll be able to track down the driver. If the driver's been booked before, the security camera should have a mug of the murderer. Do your job LBPD.
Kinda hard to do their jobs with defund actions cutting budgets - a great deal of which go toward the labs that process evidence, which are very few (due to chronic under-funding) and already overloaded. It'll be weeks for them to process the prints, a year or more for them to process DNA. The vehicle was likely stolen from the complex and this was a getaway attempt - no sane way anyone would blast through a building at 60+mph who wasn't trying to get away (from the owner).
When I was in the military a drunk driver hit one of our guard posts at the gate. Fortunately, our guard posts were built strongly, out of concrete and bricks. The guard was thrown out of the shack by the impact, and although he was injured, he did survive. The drunk who hit the shack was apprehended on the spot by me. Actually, it wasn't hard. He was so messed up, I just sat him on the curb and stood next to him to make sure he wouldn't leave. The drunk kept telling me "man, I don't want to hurt anybody, I just want to raise a little hell". What a fool!
He might live there, check the car , might have mail inside with his address and apartment number. Even car registration or any bill inside ... I see alot of papers on street , Might just be from the little office though...
Looks like a 2004 Chevy Tahoe . ... THAT is not NEW .. ANYBODY OWNS THAT ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN A REHAB LOCATION, LIKE I SAID MOST LIKELY THEY LIVE THERE.
Good that they have the Car... Hopefully its not 'stolen' which will allow them to quickly identify whoever killed the guard. They need to start elevating the charges in Hit-n-run accidents that result in a death into 'intentional homicide' rather than 'unintentional homicide'.
Agreed, if it is an accident try and help the person or stay and wait for the police. If you run then make it intentional especially if the person(s) hit could have been helped/saved.
Very Sad! But, what else is new? People drive crazy now, they have no consideration for anyone else on the road, it's all about them, they have no fear of being punished or accountability for anything they do!
