Because it IS cheaper & most new vehicles sold now have so many things being run by “ electronics” that the average owner is powerless to be able to do basic repairs or troubleshooting if something goes wrong. Get back to basics if possible, keep prices realistic & make vehicles reliable again & manufacturers would begin to see sales begin to go up again.
