A decently good tactic that can work in most situations is use that middle mushroom punch outline on the hole punch & always place the middle of whatever paper you’re using. Even if it’s smaller it will punch evenly from the middle.
I have a question for you , is there a difference in park lane rings and happy planner rings, I bought park lane extents rings for my happy planner and am very disappointed , it’s stiff and awkward and I wonder if I did some wrong?
I've never used Park Lane, but it's definitely possible that the size is just slightly different and that could be making your planner feel awkward. I've only used Happy planner and Tul.
I just double checked and they do! If you go to "personalized planners" on their website "binding" is one of the last choices you have to make. They offer coil, disc or unbound. 🤗
I love the happy planner punch you can use any page and that's awesome!
I totally agree!
To consistently line up the top and bottom of the pages to be punched, you could use small pieces of washi tape to " mark" the punch.

That's a great tip! Thank you for shareing!

I just bought the park lane discs as well and have the same problem. I'm thinking I may need to widen the slits just a bit.
The uneven margins don't look too bad honestly. Someone could mark the punch with a permanent marker to punch many papers of slightly different sizes.
what do you do with used pages you want to keep but not in the current notebook ?
I have a couple of sets of discs that just hold old pages or pages I haven't used yet in a drawer.
Thank you! Will avoid this mistake.
Very pretty. Good advice. Kind of weird that their pages are shorter than standard.
Thank you! It's all a learning curve. I love having the punch to try new things with my planner.
What size disc did you use for your book?
They’re 1.25. That’s a medium basically. 👍
Plum paper now offers a disc bound system. 🎉
That's because Happy Planner sells a punch for each of their planner sizes.
I have my 2020 planner ready to go, but 2020 doesn't want to go with my plans 😆
I feel that way too... this year is bonkers! I just hope with spring coming that the virus slows down. Stay safe!
Is it just me or does Plum Paper no longer offer unbound planners?

I can't tell you how many times I've punched half-letter pages with 9 holes instead of 8...
Happens to the best of us!
I do not think the cover of the planner shows you are a perfectionist. It shows you like cheap looking products- not perfection!
Was this necessary? Like- at all?
What an awful comment to make
So rude !
Rude to be cruel!
Please be kind Leigh Sutherland. Thanks in advance.
