Garbage Trucks Unloading Recycling

First up we have a new angle I tried with the GoPro while at the dump. I think it turned out pretty well as it gave a pretty unique view of the load being dumped. Towards the end you can see how the “autodump” cycle on most modern Amreps is set up, beginning with the upper blade clearing the hopper and the lower blade extending and retracting to eject the contents a chunk at a time. Let me know if you’d like to see more footage like this.
Next we have a quick video I took one afternoon when the general refuse area was backed up causing a long line outside. Luckily, it gave me the opportunity to get some up close footage of some trucks dumping their loads of recycle.

I do enjoy this, thx for uploading it. Could you film a demo of the old style custom ASL top door assembly opening and closing from the street side? And maybe up close a couple different angles. Always liked how they do so much custom work there at EJ

Amazing how much can be packed in one truck. How many stops?

It sure is. Despite how much seems to be able to fit in the truck, this recycle load was only about 5 tons, and I think around 700-800 houses
