2:15 The roof box was OPTIONAL. And like me, when you really need a roof box, you tolerate the extra wind noise. It's quieter if you close the fabric panel under the glass roof by the way.
I missed a *that* blue V70 Ocean Race... Somebody drove past the dealer, saw it and bought it there and then, without test drive... I missed out by 20minutes. #sadface. But my red V70 still rocks.
I have a S60 2005. It's only done 44,000 on the clock I bought it from new. It drive like a new car and always puts a smile on my face when I drive. It has sport suspension with the 4 C's. The Volvo cars to me are the best. Thank you for sharing, I always look forward to your video's
I've got a regular V90 in Europe and I have that same roofbox (in black) for ski trips. Like you said, the windrush is insane! My dealer says that it's just because I have a panoramic sunroof like the car you're testing here. Super annoying atleast. Other than that a great car!
Thanks for the video, it's nice to see someone else who likes the raised wagons. I love my 2016 XC70 and hope to be able to replace it (eventually) with the upcoming V60 Cross Country (V90 Couss Country is too big and expensive). But Volvo Australia looks like it is only going to be importing SUVs (so no V60s) - very disappointing!
I've not seen any of these so far with a bigger engine, do they make the 2.4 engine's anymore? Also not seen one of these with a manual gearbox as yet, again, do they make them with a manual gearbox? Does anyone know?
WOW, that's a bit shortsighted of them to say the least. I had wondered, there are loads of used V90s for sale here in the UK on Ebay and they are all automatic and 2 litre, so it got me wondering. It doesn't say too much for the car either that people are wanting to get rid of them so soon after purchasing them. It does look good though.
@@jezzyby47 The last car with the 2.4 5-cyl was the S60 cross country. One of the main downfalls of the 5-cyl "whiteblock" engine was fuel consumption. Which by 2015 was enough of a reason for it to be discontinued. The engine was designed in the late 80s, so it had a good run. All new Volvos use the 2.0L SPA 4-cyl, some with hybrid systems.
Cheers Connor, it just looks like too big a car to be powered with a 2L engine. I thought there would be bigger versions available. They had 3 litre engines in some V70s with the T6 turbo.
You were testing the acceleration in COMFORT mode !! if you had done any homework you should know this ! put it into Dynamic mode if you want to see what it can do ! The plastic strip around the wheel arches can be left off when ordering !! The B&W sound system is expensive, but remember when you come to sell it you will get a lot more money back for a car with this sound system, so maybe not so expensive as you think on first sight !
I traded in my 2015 V60 r-design with the polestar tune for a 2018 V90 CC T6 with the polestar tune and I can honestly say I wish I had my old engine in this new car. The new car is quick, but the old car was so fast. I miss it so much...
By the way, you guys over at shifting lanes should drop by my channel and chrck out my larest video. I picked up a 96 850R last weekend. The video is a quick and dirty go-over of the cars condition. Thanks!

"The epitome of simple elegance" Dude, the nail is on the head.
Long live the wagon!
The old ocean race blue was such a good colour.
Agreed

I’m driving a 2015 V60. So much fun to drive. Great seats. I need to upgrade to a new car for my growing family. Looking heavily at the v90 XC.
Volvo has the best CPO in the business
I really don’t get why the journalist gets filmed instead of filming the damn car while he/she talks... Why?
Best tip was to wait 3-4 years to buy one of these nice cars. That is when I clicked Like!
it's a lot more "fun" with the Polestar SW upgrade, you should try it out if you get the chance in the V90
I suspect you will start to get more viewers. This channel has good content :)
Thanks Daniel! Appreciate you watching. Lots more to come soon🙂cheers

Looks amazing
It’s very handsome
My dream car...
That roof rack may be causing that great amount of wind noise.
Yea it very much was. Looks great, lots of noise

I don't think so? I think the higher performance models in Volvo's lineup are now hybrids.
Volvo has 2.0l engines across their lineup, with varying degrees of power. No 2.4s anymore. Volvo also doesn’t make any v90s or s90s with a manual

Did the $68,000 price include the optional roof box?
Yes

The last "fun" Volvo was the turbo 6cyl V60 R design. Want one some kinda bad.
No Polestar V60?
@@ShiftingLanes the polestar goes without saying 😍

I don't like the engine sound in it.
Engine sound is MEH
Packline better box...
i like it, but for a similar price the E400/E450 wagon is a better car
