- Max Landi reviews the 2019 Volvo V90 Cross Country. This Cross Country trim takes the sleek V90 wagon and adds some body clawing, a higher ride height and the utility look that people are attracted to. The same turbo and supercharged 4-cylinder engine is at work here.The Volvo V90 and V90 Cross Country are station wagons built off the same platform as the Volvo S90 sedan and XC90 SUV. The Cross Country is a from of the Volvo V90 wagon and both use the same 2.0L supercharged and turbocharged 4-cylinder found in the other new Volvo products. The V90 wagon and Cross Country utility come standard with AWD and the Cross Country gets 2.5-inches of additional ground clearance, with 8.5-inches overall. The V90 Cross Country also comes with extra cladding and a slightly different front and rear bumper.

My dad has a V90 Cross Country! Its a very nice car.
Other than that insanely complex (reliable??), ... I love this estate (station wagon). Make mine a light coloured interior with wood accents... I’m sold! Oh wait.... did you say ‘over $73,ooo!’ I guess, the best I can hope Santa will do, is to leave the Hot Wheels version under the tree. Amazing car and an amazing review. Thanks Max.

2.3 inches ground clearance over the regular V90? You assume we know the ground clearance of the normal V90...
Hi Zack . When is your video of the Mazda CX 5 2019 coming out ? I'm looking forward to watching it. Thinking about trading in my 2018 rogue for a CX 5. I hate driving the thing. The CX 5 handled so much better.. biggest mistake I made choosing the Rogue over the CX 5

Handles like a sedan but with all of that glorious cargo space! Not everyone likes to sit up high like all SUVs and crossovers
I have the new V60; its brilliant for the travelling I do. High comfort level and lots of space for passagers and their luggage. Great roadholding pn twisty mountain roads, due to the low center of gravity. Think that these features are the main reasons that we have some many “wagons” up here in Scandinavia. I drive app 40.000Km anually, and any Volvo Wagon is a cracking car, to do that in.

The only problem with this car (and Volvo in general) is that they're extremely expensive for a family-oriented and non-luxury brand. As good as this thing is, a lot of people will opt for the German equivalents even if they aren't quite as good.
Volvo IS a luxury Brand. it's more about elegance, comfort and Effortlessness than a Power and Dominance. If you want sporty, you get the Polestar. It's definitely in the right price range.
The fully loaded BMW 5 series wagon, Mercedes E63 wagon, and Audi Allroad have higher MSRP's than this Volvo. The V90 has more standard driver tech and safety features than its German competitors who will financially sodomize buyers with overpriced option packages.

Me too, although if I were to win the Powerball mega lottery, I might be tempted to buy a fully optioned E63 AMG wagon😏😏.
I both agree and disagree, imho Volvo is up there with the big germans. The difference are all the engine options the others can offer. The fourth german alternative, Volkswagen, is somewhere behind
