Nice day for sure, but I still haven't seen a Legend video where it could produce targets the Simplex could not. I'd love to have the Legend, maybe one day.
Hi there! Thanks for the upload :D Could I know what settings you use while under salt water? Mine is very chatty when going underwater or even when the disk is under saltwater (Mediterranean)
Hi, I have a question, is it true that you used the legnd detector in salt water, what settings did you set, how sensitive, mw or md, what settings did you set? Thank you very much
Does it behave stably in salt water and on what firmware? I wanted to order one, they told me that after the firmware was updated, because there was something wrong on the one that brought it?
*Nice work! What headphones are those?? Also, could you not just use the vibration on the detector instead of headphones, or would you then miss targets?* I just picked up a Legend WHP and look to eventually get diving lessons and certified one day.. Been detecting for years on land
I haven't heard of any leaks yet with the Simplex and Legend. I will be buying either one of the two for daily underwater fully submersible use. Do you think it will hold up in time?
Only time will tell but the few times I have had it in saltwater, it seemed very stable and solid. No problems as of yet but the real test will be after using it many months repeatedly to see how it holds out. If there are any issues I will post them here but I think the build quality is very good
Ive had the Simplex since it first came out and used it on the ocean beach in Florida since the first day. I found 2 rings, 1 was gold in the 1st hour. It works very well on dry sand or shell. In wet salt it is erratic if the sensitivity is turned up. Ive found jewelry in the surf at night with it! I used every firmware up tp v 2.77. The way it behaves in salt will vary a little with versions. It is very good in trashy sites on the beach. The flashlight, backlit buttons that are tactile and display control are great for night detecting and really unmatched. I bought the Simplex to use daily on the beach and do. Often 4 to 6 hours a day. Salt, sand and Florida sun on it. I hose it off completely each time with fresh water. Not one sign of the coil or display leaking. Note the telescoping rod will jam in sand. Once its dried and lubed the rod works OK. So far Ive used it 400 days where salt water gets on it. I cover all of the metal connectors with blue painters tape and it keeps the sand out of the threads. Im certain this helps keep out stray salt water too. Also use a screen protector.. I use Simplex for relics in clay soils and that goes deepest with ver 2.77. The 2.78 version wont go as deep. Higher versions I havent tried. Note my Equinox will go much deeper than the Simplex but it is multi frequency. However the Simplex can't detect as well or as deep as the Minelab Equinox.
How much is Legend better than Simplex for underwater detecting? If not count discrimination are this bigger and more expensive detector so much better than Pulsedive? You tried so much detectors underwater and in your oppinio what is the best value underwater metal detector? Also what detector that is not too much expensive you suggest for deep up to 10 feet? Thank you in advance for your answers
The legend is a multi-frequency so it's better in salt water. As far as the best all-around machine, that's hard to say it depends what kind of hunting you're doing and how much trash there is. In low trash areas I would use a pulse machine. In high trash areas I like the legend but I need to do more testing.
you never actually said if you was in beach wet or beach dry, its very probable you was in wet, I personally am trying to understand if beach dry uses all the multi freq and if beach wet nocks off the 40khz, would be beneficial to know, shame Notka does not list there programmes as the deus does
Yes I was in the water so I was using Beach wet not Beach dry. All you need to do is email the people at Nokta and they should help answer your questions. They have all been very helpful whenever I needed to reach out to them
What a cool random find, that stone with the Ukranian flag painted on it! Someone must have painted it and threw it out there for you to find :D Were you able to charge that watch and see who it belonged to?
So awesome man! About to order Legend 🎉
Cool I wondered how this detector would do underwater.... Question answered 😁👍
Nice. The Titanium holds up really well in salt water. I've got a Titanium wedding band.
Nice finds ,love my Legend so far, just havent hit the water with it yet
Você aprovou o legend detector embaixo da água?
WOW awesome scuba detecting! Congrats my fríend, great PIECES!
can just use vibrate function. I generally use that when hunting the beach
awesome video can you tell me what headphones was used? thanks
I was using the gray ghost amphibian headphones
Would you say the Legend beats the Equinox 800 for 0-10 feet underwater? I have heard of leakage with Equinox--what model Legend is that?
Very good hunt! Congratulations on the gold and silver. GL&HH Matt 👍
I was going to buy an Excalibur for the beach and shallows but this vid has now got me thinking. At 60% of the Excal price it's very tempting.
Very nice finds!
I would like to see a compare between pulse dive and the legend
legend is better , pulse dive cant see small gold …i dive with pulse dive its good compact detector but its not good for most valuable finds…
Great finds! You got me subbed. Anyways I also metal detect and seems the machine you are using is pretty accurate
Nice day for sure, but I still haven't seen a Legend video where it could produce targets the Simplex could not. I'd love to have the Legend, maybe one day.
Hey!
Is it possible (and convenient) to use the Legend underwater WITHOUT headphones?
Thanks!

I have the latest firmware and it works fine in salt water.
How does it perform without the head phones underwater? Still deciding to get these earphones but having vibration mode ON is less of a hassle.
All about personal preference. I don't mind the headphones and if wearing neoprene gloves you might not feel a vibration as much as hearing the sound
I'm constantly getting 10 on VDI underwater, does it mean it's falsing ? just like when the settings is too high on nox 800 giving -6 on VDI.
*Nice work! What headphones are those?? Also, could you not just use the vibration on the detector instead of headphones, or would you then miss targets?*
I just picked up a Legend WHP and look to eventually get diving lessons and certified one day.. Been detecting for years on land
They are gray ghost amphibian headphones. Vibration does work underwater but I'm used to just hearing the targets
@@DetectorComparisons oh ok perfect thank you 🙏
What's the deepest you've got with it so far? I wonder what happens when you exceed the 16ft limit/rating.
Great hunt, what kind of headphones did you use and how exactly you connected it?
They are great ghost amphibian headphones made by Detector Pro, They have a waterproof connector that just screws in
@@DetectorComparisons thnx

@@johnnyhiett was thinking of the NOX 600. But will have to silicone everything apart from the screen and buttons :-(
Estou querendo comprar um, tenho um Equinox 800 mas uso pouco dentro da água.
What price you getting on the metal detector
I don't sell them, just field test them. Look online, many dealers sell them
you do ground balance??
Yes

GOLD !!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Tell me, to what depth did you lower the legend?
Are you in the U.S.?wondering if it makes a difference for the detector
Yes I'm out of the US and I'm not sure what kind of difference you're asking about?
Well done

Carbonox watch I believe
Nice video have you used it in water again? If so how did the detector work I. Thinking of getting one for fresh water
I took mine scuba diving in salt water and it worked great. I posted a video on it...
KLASSE.
Awesome 🫡

I haven't tried charging the watch yet, last time I found one of these and tried to charge it, it overheated really quickly. No power in this one
@@DetectorComparisons That's too bad! That's a pretty high priced piece of gadgetry to lose!
