I absolutely see it! It's amazing what the camera can see that the eye does not. Looking through a scuba mask is definitely different than what a wide angle GoPro camera can pick up. If you look at my picture at the end of the video I have a watch band pictured right next to the sunglasses, I may have picked that one up later in the dive and just not showed it in the video. I took a little over 2 hours worth of footage and cropped down to 28 minutes so I didn't show close to all the targets. Thanks for pointing this out.
I love how that excal is set up. In the past I feel like you said Gary Storm built that? I hunt a lot of old dock sites with my excal 2 and the iron can be a challenge with the larger coil for sure. I'm absolutely in love with how you have the switch to bounce between disc, and pinpoint modes.
You put out some of the best detecting videos water or land. Nice job as usual. I never realized how popular those tungsten rings became when I hunted into the dark and came out of a lake thinking I found 3 gold rings to discover the two white gold (or platinum) were tungsten shining so nice in the truck headlights. Those pesky hollow earrings seem to float around on the surface of the bottom everywhere and at first the wide ones look like a nice band. But then you're scooping they often get pushed around and take a few shots to get them. Not that im telling you anything thats for sure. Is this from this last storm Lee that passed by? It didn't clear that much where I'm at in South Jersey. It caused more "opportunities" as it reached New York and north. Plus our shoreline hits the ocean at a more perpendicular angle which I think greatly affects the sand movement. But again great dive thanks for the video

Awesome video. Please keep them coming, I just love seeing what you uncover and the fact that you still use an Excalibur! Not many folks out there using them or realize it's ability still. I've done a fair amount of mods too them as well. OBN certainly has proven that and has provided many folks with helpful info. I am curious though, how deep are you detecting here and how far from shore? There is a lot of targets you found, just amazing...well done!
Love your videos, you seem really at home in the water. I know you have every detector, so curious, when do you pick the Excal? I love your dive version with pinpoint button. It’s probably because when it washes out, stuff isn’t that deep, and I love the old analog sounds. I still have a sword model, but need the pinpoint mod, and remove the WOT and put the stock 10” back for general use. I have a sea search coil somewhere. Thanks.

I went to the 11:34 point in the video and saw the watchband! I did not see it the first time but I did pick it up later in the dive. Take a look at my picture at the end of this video and right above the sunglasses you'll see the watch band. Maybe there's another one but I'll go back and look again later this week. Thanks for pointing out!

gday from oz,another quality vid been a while, after a few years useing my tdi beach hunter it leaked ruining the pcb ive tried to contact the two angents that garret contracted to repair whites detectors.centerville electronics, one only fixed older detectors the other not answering my emails have you got any contacts for a new pcb board, thanks,
@@DetectorComparisons thank you for your answer i use XP Deus2 for underwater metal detecting only with 8 inch coil it is also very sensitive machine i once found a 0.65 grams gold earring
I have the D2 as well and I'm thinking about taking it down there to the same place because every time you find a medallion there's got to be a chain that you're not hearing and maybe the D2 will pick it up
Thanks for taking us along always looking forward to seeing and learning from you. 👍 ATB 🦀

Gary Storm had these built and they are known as New York Excal's or Swords. The original 8" coils on these were built very well
@DetectorComparisons adding that to my Christmas list for sure haha! If you know of one that comes up for sale please let me know.

Did you miss a metal watch strap on the left at around 12:30? Love watching your videos. Makes me wish I'd kept up my diving...

I'm only in about 12 feet of water at low tide. Maybe 20 feet off shore. Thanks for watching.
@@DetectorComparisons That's awesome. I look forward to seeing more of your vids...especially some of those old spots you got!

The Excal is my go-to machine when diving. Just very comfortable with it after using it for so many years
Hey there, I might be losing my marbles.Around 12.00 to 12.08 is that a watch band in the upper left corner of the video

Thanks for sharing... what depth are you at ?
Only about 12 ft
Your excal is neat I’m thinking of doing this to my Excalibur 2 how much does this cost?
I had mine done years ago. There are guys that still do the modifications but you would have to ask around. On the forums would be a good spot
@@DetectorComparisons thank you will do. Keep up the great videos some of the best on RUclips for sure!
Horseshoe crab wanted to mate with your detector coil

They are the only ones that I knew who repaired whites

What is the depth in that hunt?
Around 12 feet at low tide
which detector is that mate ?
It is the original Excalibur that goes back about 25 years. 8 in coil that is very sensitive.
