A beautiful narrow gauge railway. What is the track gauge - 750mm? The spectacle of light from the sun and clouds at the beginning of the video is very beautiful. And the shots from the mountains are very awesome.😀👍
The gauge if 1ft 11 1/2inches or 597 mm. The tolerance is such that a 2ft or 600mm loco can probably use the tracks OK. The Ffestiniog was one of the first steam-operated narrow gauge lines and started a trend worldwide. The Welsh Highland which connects with the Ffestiniog in Porthmadog was built to the same gauge but later with a partly tourist-orientated purpose. Both lines were involved with slate haulage.
