Competition between the Henry lever-actions and the Ruger/Marlin lever-actions will serve to keep their respective manufacturers at the top of their lever-action game. Thanks for the Jeff clip, Boge! 👍
Just got one of these in 357 with a 20 inch barrel. Only took me 2 years to find one but dang was it worth the wait! She is a thing of beauty and a nice example of excellent craftsmanship. It was quite pricey but worth it. Buy once, cry once.
Thank you for the Skinner sight recommendation. Color case hardening will match nicely. I am getting in to the old style guns and getting away from the modern stuff.
Sir i relied on your brothers knowledge in various firearms that I too was interested in over the years. I too am a Henry lever gun guy. You have done your brother proud carrying the gun blast on in a positive manner! Great and useful information! 🇺🇸. Thank you P.s. just pick up my own case hardened in 30 30 this very week. A real bute
Beautiful carbine, Boge! I love its appearance. I would probably go with the 20 inch model with the standard lever. I really like the octagonal barrel and color casehardening. Thanks for bringing it to us.
I have 2XL hands and the large lever loop on my HENRY 44 Carbine makes operating the lever very easy with heavy winter gloves. I live in Northern Montana and heavily insulated gloves are a wintertime must have. When a follow up shot must be taken very quickly the large loop sure makes it easy. It is well worth considering. been waiting3 months with a down payment for 2 of these in case hardened octagonal barrel... a 45 colt and a 357. my dealer which was the only one in the state of Minnesota that would even try, told us 6 months to a year wait. Henry wrote back to us and they said they have NO control over who get what. we will wait 6 months then my dealer said the down payment can go to are 2nd choice from Taylor Firearms which is fine. I all ready have Taylor runn' iron 45 COLT SAA. We shall see. thanks for the share.
@@russmichael1165 Thank you for telling me. I did not know anyone else. We wanted these and talked about it for 5 years finally have the cash, so 6 months will be worth the wait, hoping the laws do not ruin the fun, bu then👍
5:50. Front sight is not centered. Bought one in 357 magnum recently with the same issue. Not a big deal, but it defeats the the purpose of the windage adjustable rear sight. Nevertheless it's a beautiful gun and enjoyable to shoot.
I used to always want a golden boy really bad ever since I first seen one but when I got the opportunity to shoot them they’re so clunky and crunchy that want went away. I shot really used to brand new and it’s nothing like the Rossi m92 I decided on instead. It was nice before I polished the internals but now it’s slick. Never was a fan of the front tube loading either. Glad they came around to side loading but the action is still a deal breaker
We make the Henry barrel bands and forend caps where I work.
Cool!
Just Wanted To Say ... Boge You've Done A Fine Job of Filling in For Your Brother Jeff ❤ We All Miss Him 💔
Thank you. I miss him every day.
My Dad got me this weapon and I love it. U.S.A. and Henry #1 and My Dad, he ‘s my “Real Life Hero”! Great review. I have the brass plate.
Thanks for keep in this channel going. I'll always enjoy You guys

That CCH is amazing and the octagon barrel takes that tool to a whole new lever of cool.

Enjoy!
Great video Boge!! Love the lever guns brother!
Henry’s are really nice, and this new offering looks promising. Glad to see lever guns are still going strong.

Many of us choose to drift the front sight rather than try to move the rear
I been looking at this exact rifle. Nice little handy rifle
Great video 🙂☕👍
Thank you 👍
Very nice.
i want the 38/357 carbine, but the one looked short on you. I might need the 20 inch rifle. How did it feel?
I love the carbine length, but the 20" is not overly long.
I think Henry sends the receivers out to Tyler gun works in Texas for the color case hardening, is that true ?
Yes, it is.

I would like a 19 or 20 inch
Most people will think the retail price is too much when they come up. With the new top of the line 460 or 500 CDL it will be a bargain
Would like to buy one but, Where I live,Good luck finding one
I bought this exact rifle from kygunco Couldn’t find in store anywhere in this configuration Anyway , it’s gorgeous and will hold value Recommend!
Man that’s a beautiful rifle ! I want this exact rifle ! Do u have its model number !
