Picked one up a few weeks ago, and it's a beast! Took it to my club and fired 100 high-brass steal loads through it to break it in.. Not one problem. Going to be a fun gun to have around.
I've had one of these for about 3 years and haven't had a single issue with it. I do set it on 3 for the really light stuff but keep it on 2 since I normally run 4 and lower. Great review!!
I purchased one about 6 months ago and have gone through about 1500 rounds and it’s been reliable besides maybe twice before learning about the gas chamber.
That seems to be alot of peoples problems, most people dont understand how the gas works amd then they get upset but then they figure it out and everything's good to go

My silencerco salvo 12 was approved on aug 12, I'm waiting for the tax stamp so I can bring it home...I'll be doing another full review running a can on this very gun if you wanna wait to decide....I've got 4 shot, 6 shot, 7.5 shot, 4 or 5 different brands of 8 shot, buckshot, slugs, and Turkey turkeyloads...i have 2 problems with this ak12. 1 is after 1500 rounds amd throwing it around my stock came a little lose so I just tightened up the screw amd good as new. 2 is everytime you shoot it you have to wipe it down with a clp or rem oil or it will 150% rust
All in all I recommend this gun, open the gas to 3, put some buckshot in it amd set it by the bed....I also have 2 10round mags coming for the next review

Mine was 550 at dunhams I put mine in a silicone infused gunsock from Allen. No rust no probs 700 rds in stock came loose and tightend it up proper no issues. It runs anything.... Ive shot almost everything aside from dragons breath n few other specialty rounds they thru it. When it came out box was dry tore it apart and oiled it up ran high brass first 250 rds

I already bought one of these ( not yet delivered) and was pretty sure that all the people hating this firearm and having jams also had an issue with reading manuals and understanding or even knowing about the gas system & settings. I did do a cleaning for well over 1000 rounds I know that for a fact because I wanted to see how long it took to fail and I remember some of my first failures were stuck shells because that’s what dirty shotguns do but the JTS went longer than any other shotgun I’ve ever ran like that
I watched the whole damn video!!! I got that same jts m12ak! I got some 5 and 10 round mags and a 25rd drum. Its a damn good weapon for under $450 when I got it. Set the gas tube on 3 and it'll almost run anything you try to put through it.

You'll see a kid with a karate gee doing 25rd magazine dumps with the drum. Also... you can get the 10rd magazines from "Palmetto State Armory" Online. They look bad ass hanging out the mag well and run as flawlessly as the 5rd mags. Lastly. I think there's a magpul m lok forend that can replace the crappie one the jts comes with, it will allow for picatinny rails and a foregrip. There's also a video on RUclips showing a guy adding a folding tactical stock! I'm not sure how I found that video...maybe search jts m12ak stock replacement? Sorry so long winded... I just wanted to share all the information I currently have on the weapon because your video was bad ass, and a bad ass gun needs bad ass upgrades! P.S. Great video, mine is brand new but does not cycle like yours even on 3. What FPS were most of the rounds you were shooting? I’ve had problems anything under 1200 FPS. Did you have any problems during break in period? Keep up good work.
Not sure if you have this still but yes 1200 is still to low for reliable semi auto id day 1250 would be the lowest you would want to go in any semi auto
Ran a new one right out of the box with federal 7.5 shot flawlessly. I did find if you dont brace up the gun on your shoulder right, it will jam using light loads. As long as you hold it firmly though, she cycles.
Thanks for the content. These other companies are PAYING popular RUclipsrs to make FAKE reviews claiming the JTS M12AK is bad. Apparently the JTS M12AK is OUTSELLING all the other AK shotguns 😂
The manual specifically says to clean the gun before first use... and apparently the gas piston area has some sort of cosmolene or other grease that needs to be cleaned out and then the gun properly lubed, before first us. The shipping 'grease' doesn't work for shooting.
I've shot every single brand of 12 gauge shells that walmart amd all my local gun stores have to offer amd it runs every single shell except for the Winchester AA 8 shot low noise low recoil...the round itself will work in many shotguns but best in pumps and single shots, it will cycle most semi autos as well but not in the JTS AK12 trust me it has never one time cycled reliably in mine, with or without the suppressor, it's just not powerful enough but having said that every other light load I've tried has worked
I'm buying one this Tuesday and I'm super excited.I'm not expecting problems, but if anything major happens like a burr in the barrel, there are two professional gunsmiths within ten minutes of my house. No biggie right. I expect this gun to turn out like the WASR 10, the cheap budget option with a few problems , but a workhorse none the less. If I experience any problems I will comment again with deets.

Whisper, You have one of the M12 AK's that was made right. I bought one in 2017 and mine was not made right. When I got it, the bolt handle was very difficult to pull back and did not return like yours even after over a hundred rounds, The gas regulator adjustment would not turn. The gas piston was stuck in the regulator. It also had gas block ports that did not align with the regulator. I freed up the gas regulator with some sanding. I opened up / aligned gas port for number three setting in the gas regulator. I also opened the gas port on number two setting just a little bit. I had to do some work on the lugs that lock the bolt in the carrier and the grooves in the carrier due to poor machining. Now it works just fine. It will cycle low recoil buckshot with no problem on setting number three and high power rounds on setting number two.
@@Whispertactical With Mine, There was a bur in the gas port inside the barrel. (Probably caused by the stamping process) When a round went thru, pieces of wadding and lead would get shaved off like a cheese grater and get into the gas regulator / piston. I removed the regulator and took a long piece of thin emery sand paper and run it thru the gas port into the barrel and out the front. I worked it like a shoe shine to remove the bur. That seems to have worked very well so far.
If the civil war 2021 happens this gun will be what you want or any ak style Seriously when she has the fan ARs are great but when they get dirty they aint And a K won’t disappoint
Direct impingement does build up internally more and need to be cleaned a little more frequently, but in practice AKs will clog and become inoperable from mud and dust way before an AR pattern will. The real issue is that AK style shotguns have more history and are better developed at this point than AR pattern shotguns. Look up InTheRange's mud tests for both AKs and ARs and you will find that ARs out perform nearly every other weapon platform in adverse conditions. Also, ARs are commonly chambered in a more effective round for longer range engagements while still being plenty effective in shorter ranges.
@@teemun3979 ar's are a closed system and ak's are pretty much open and vulnerable to the elements but if I had to choose one for long term reliability I'd choose the ak47 but if I had to choose one to be accurate and stand up to the elements amd to go to war with I'd choose the AR15 anyday
Thanks for your review I now own one, got a good deal on Black Friday. So 2 on the setting and I’ll be able to fire whatever? If I do heavier loads do I need to change it much? I literally just got it in today cleaning the hell out of it, and firing it tomorrow on my property.
Nice nice nice, so it just depends on what your shooting and no its 2 that runs pretty much everything it's actually setting 3 which is as open as the gas can be....so everytime you try a new brand of ammo put your setting on 1 then if it doesnt cycle go to 2 then if it still doesnt cycle go to 3....your may need a break it amd if your cleaning it then make sure that you put lubricant back on the rails and everywhere that metal runs metal just lay down a smooth layer of grease....if you try to run this gun dry you'll have some problems for sure...typically it likes ammo that's over 1200 fps but mine runs 1145fps jus fine...I do have over 3k rounds thru mine amd it's so broken in that the action is as smooth as butter....if you have any problems or questions after you shoot it tomorrow hit me up amd I'll see what I can help you with....also I'm gonna make a video on this gun explaining dang near everything about it amd how I clean it amd how I lube it amd how I broke mine in ad why some run perfect amd some dont,not sure when I'll have it out but I've been working it for a few days

Was lucky enough to pick one up at my local gun shop here in the peoples republic of Massachusetts, got a couple of 10 round mags but they will not stay in the gun so those are going back. Tried rock in click but they just fall out when you cycle it, bummer. Love your Channel!!!

Lol no...and yea bro there is alot of people out there who bought this gun and didnt even know how to work the gas adjuster then because it didnt run they gave it a bad review, and then there were people who literally had a great experience with it but when they took it apart for cleaning they didnt put the gas system back together properly amd now their guns just dont run lol, they had it set on 3 and put the actual adjuster back in set on 1 or 2 and then their gas was off in general and then they left negative reviews

I 100% agree with this review.. I would just like to add a suggestion. As soon as you buy one, clean the entire gun out, more so the gas block. There is some weird factory grease in the gas block that turns into a rubber cement type goo after you fire the gun a couple times. I think this is one of the leading factors to people thinking these guns are unreliable.
@@Whispertactical oh ok. I had some in mine, it wasn't a grease no more though. The 1st time I shot it ran really good but even on 3 it would short stroke some low-recoil. When I got home to clean and lube, I discovered something I guess was once grease, but it was more clayish. I had to get a mini screwdriver and pry that inner cylinder out and lube it up nice. After I did that the next time out it cycled 100% of everything.

Is it new or older...has it been good and broken in...on the gas selector the 3 needs to be at the 6oclock position closest to the barrel...are you using the 5rd mags that it came with it or aftermarket mags....what shells are you using in it...you cam google tac 47 phone number, call amd leave Keith a message with you name and number amd he will call you back, he is a JTS master if you have a question then I promise you he has the answer

Mine was $549 when I bought it and now their $800, if your gonna buy a suppressor then I recommend skipping the shotgun can amd buying am all around rifle can, I did a review shooting my hybrid 46, suppressors are far from cheap but their worth it to me....the salvo requires you to buy a choke adapter to mount it amd their very very hard to find and over $100 each....so until things slow down I would skip out on it....now if you find a slave choke for remington threads in stock then go ahead amd buy it then get your can but nothing sicked worse than having a can that I couldnt even use because I couldnt find a choke adapter
It’s a miracle of god that thing would run those low shells mine won’t do it at all I’m only 150 shells in all low brass and I only got 7 in a row 1 time so I wouldn’t recommend the low stuff on the third setting it won’t run it until you break it in a 1,000 shells probably
I haven't even looked into getting a sling for this, although I probably should....the sight I ran on this is one I'm doing a long term review on, it called a truglo tru tec green dot amd it held up fantastically, it was 140 on bigdaddyunlimited.com...I used it on my mark 4 for a few 1000 rounds then put it on a glock 40 10mm for 500 rounds amd then put it on the jts amd ran 1000 rounds for this review amd never once had to adjust the zero even when swapping guns
Now theoretically speaking, if someone wanted to use this as a home defense, how would the ammo be sitting in the mag for a while? Is there a recommended type of ammo that wouldn't get squished over time?
I’m gonna say that I would never ever ever in a million years use this gun as a home defense gun but use yourself some quality buckshot or slugs….the spring pressure is enough to crush the shells
I've personally never shot one but I have held one amd taken one apart so I've seen how both are put together amd honestly in the shotgun I'd have the ak style but in rifles I'd rather have the ar...I run mine suppressed amd it gets super dirty so I'd much rather have the ak12 than the ar12

@@tnbates8948 I had a PSA KS47 10.5inch and I loved it until I got my suppressors and started running everything suppressed, I put a asr mount muzzle break on it and It made it just unbearable to shoot even with the can on it, so I sold it amd got more suppressors...I have a video coming soon of me shooting the jts ak12 with the silencerco salvo 12 and the can actually messes up while shooting so i was unable to finish but once silencerco fixes it I'm gonna release the video

@@ShOtTaLk2AZ one will last forever depending on quality….I don’t see this lasting forever but if you rarely shoot it and take care of it then yea it’ll last a while….i tightened the stock back up I think 4 times over the course of 5k rounds….I broke it 4 rounds after the 5k point

Why did you say that it is not a home defense gun? I’m an AK guy and want a 12 GA for home defense and figure in a scary situation my AK training will transfer to this. What is a better option? Ps I have very close neighbors. Great video!
Personally I dont use shotguns for home defense, i use a glock 19x suppressed, and an ar15 chambered in 300aac suppressed....the reason I said I wouldnt use this as a home defense gun is because there has been instances when I've seen this very gun shot by someone who wasnt standing firm behind it and because of that it did malfunction, and clearing a malfunction from this gun sucks...its not a rack the bolt amd your clear you have to hold it against your leg and pull the split shotshell out amd it's a pain....you could use it for home defense I didnt mean it that way, I just personally wouldn't trust my families life to it, if I wasn't home amd my fiance grabbed it amd had to use it I'd be scared that it would malfunction on her when I know my ar or 19x wont malfunction
If you do use this for home defense make sure that you gas setting is open all the way amd make sure you keep it cleaned amd well oiled....dont use aftermarket mags unless their the actual 10 round jts mags amd def break them in...use 2 3/4 in shells...I havent had the best of luck with the 3in magnums, it will shoot them but It has malfunctioned on me with the 3in shells and I know I stood behind it firmly enough...also you def better get an optic cause sights are exactly the same as ak sights, completely blacked out
Whisper Tactical optic on a home defense shot gun uhhh no..... if you can’t see then a optic is useless plain and simple. Also why not pass on the advice of not using slugs or buck shot if they neighbors are living that close they will and have gone thru walls and hit people in other homes..... yes I speak from the thousand a of shootings I responding to every 24 hr shift I would in Chicago . Bird shot will do just fine in making a point with no chance of killing the neighbor If it’s malfunction long like any good gun owner they will narrow it down to what’s causing the issue and have it fixed by the factory or modified by a gun smith
@@ttss5726 by optic I meant red dot/green dot, not a scope or anything like that, I'm from Kyso I keep my oven light on in the kitchen which creates a very dim lighting so an optic at night for me is perfect in any room of my house....I also should have been more clear about the malfunctions, so out of almost 2000 rounds thru this gun I have had 3 malfunctions that wasmt gas related, 1 was when someone didn't stand firmly behind it using 8 shot federal low brass, amd the other 2 were with 3 inch turkey loads while breaking in a new 10 round saiga mag actually it was the 3rd amd 4th round out of the first mag during my mag break in so it doesnt have a problem that needs to be fixed by the company or gun smith, plus I guess I should have mentioned I only use suppressed home defense guns amd running this suppressed would just be to much to move around with, I do have a video with the salvo 12 coming soon, it actually messed up in the middle of round testing and I had to send it back to silencerco so I'm waiting for it to be fixed so I can finish the video...umm as far as slugs or buckshot I wouldnt use that for home defense I'd use birdshot just like you stated, even though I know that a slug ain't going thru my walls amd into another house, their just to far away from my house for that to happen but I'd def want birdshot for wider patterns so it would be more effective...this gun does shoot slugs amd buckshot very very well though I mean like really good...If i was into using shotguns for home defense then i would use this gun it's just the way i run my home defense gun would make me add an extra 12inchs on the front of this thing amd it's just unwieldy, i have a 14 month old baby girl so if i fired a gun under stress in my house then my adrenaline will be pumping like crazy amd the sound concussion will likely not cause any long term damage for my ears but if my baby is asleep and i blast off 5 birdshot by her room or bed then its gonna hurt her little ears amd that's why i choose to not run this as home defense
I bought one a few days ago and I bought some light target load, I had it on setting 3, and it would not cycle a single round. I went and got some magnums and they worked perfectly. Am I doing something wrong or does the gun just need broken in?
Bro yours may just need a good good break in, tolerances are not the same on all of em…my tolerances may have been a little looser than yours, but I will say that when my buddy shoots this gun it will not cycle for him but for me it cycles every time….our stance and how much we allow the gun to push us during the recoil cycle will absolutely 100% make or break reliability…so if your being pushed too much then it doesn’t have enough steadiness to make it reliable…wide boxing stance and do not let it move you and see how it cycles then
Possibly, some people have shotguns that are far more expensive and they didn't want to admit that one at this price level could be any good. Sure seems to be, though!
Will it run winchester super target 1145fps? I ordered the jts m12ak a week ago. Should come in sometime this week. Really looking forward to getting my new 12 gauge.
So I've ran everything walmart has to offer amd it ran it all reliably, I didn't record the winchester super target because at the time I didnt realize people wanted to know, now my macbook will not work because storage is to full and I'm trying to figure it out, I cant even open final cut pro x to edit a video so as soon as I get it up and running again I'll upload videos of me running the winchester super target unsuppresed and suppressed...but for now I can honestly say that it ran reliably in mine o the 3rd gas setting amd that it will run red box federal from walmart reliably as well.

I broke mine in with federal red box amd silver box winchester from walmart, just be aware of shooting slugs or really high powered rounds thru the ak12 if your gas is opened all the way cause it will kick really hard, I know it just a 12 gauge but I'm telling you it will thump you good
@@Whispertactical took the jts out shooting today. The winchester super target 1145fps would not cycle at all but everything over 1200fps ran flawlessly even during rapid fire. Very happy with this weapon.
Jts makes 5 amd 10 round mags But they say it will tale almost all of the saiga mags, I got 2 10round sgm tactical from classic firearms and they work great I did have to break em in but they do work good, also the saiga 25round drums work from what I've been told

Running powerful shells with the gas wide open is just making the gun run really hard and will wear it out faster...I ran buckshot on 2 amd high brass on 2 when I'm not making the video, I run slugs on 1 amd I run all the light and heavy target loads on 3
I bought one and love it but I had a problem with it. After 100 rounds the end of the barrel started to mushroom around the choke. Was using nothing but #7 bird shot. Never seen a gun do that. Sent it back for a warranty fix. Still waiting to hear from them.

@@JamesTheAxeThrower that I'm not sure of exactly, this gun is saiga mag compatible but they say that sometimes a drum mag will work fine then others say that they have to modify the magwell, I'm just gonna have to order a couple different drums amd see what happens

Picked one up a few weeks ago, and it's a beast! Took it to my club and fired 100 high-brass steal loads through it to break it in.. Not one problem. Going to be a fun gun to have around.

I purchased one about 6 months ago and have gone through about 1500 rounds and it’s been reliable besides maybe twice before learning about the gas chamber.
That seems to be alot of peoples problems, most people dont understand how the gas works amd then they get upset but then they figure it out and everything's good to go

My silencerco salvo 12 was approved on aug 12, I'm waiting for the tax stamp so I can bring it home...I'll be doing another full review running a can on this very gun if you wanna wait to decide....I've got 4 shot, 6 shot, 7.5 shot, 4 or 5 different brands of 8 shot, buckshot, slugs, and Turkey turkeyloads...i have 2 problems with this ak12. 1 is after 1500 rounds amd throwing it around my stock came a little lose so I just tightened up the screw amd good as new. 2 is everytime you shoot it you have to wipe it down with a clp or rem oil or it will 150% rust
All in all I recommend this gun, open the gas to 3, put some buckshot in it amd set it by the bed....I also have 2 10round mags coming for the next review

Mine was 550 at dunhams I put mine in a silicone infused gunsock from Allen. No rust no probs 700 rds in stock came loose and tightend it up proper no issues. It runs anything.... Ive shot almost everything aside from dragons breath n few other specialty rounds they thru it. When it came out box was dry tore it apart and oiled it up ran high brass first 250 rds

I did do a cleaning for well over 1000 rounds I know that for a fact because I wanted to see how long it took to fail and I remember some of my first failures were stuck shells because that’s what dirty shotguns do but the JTS went longer than any other shotgun I’ve ever ran like that
I watched the whole damn video!!! I got that same jts m12ak! I got some 5 and 10 round mags and a 25rd drum. Its a damn good weapon for under $450 when I got it. Set the gas tube on 3 and it'll almost run anything you try to put through it.
What drum ? I love mine. I saw people using modified pro mag drum or using modfied magwell to run whatever.

Sgm tactical 25rd drum magazine can be brought at " Classic Firearms " online for about $99.99-$125.
Search " distra45 " on RUclips. You'll see a kid with a karate gee doing 25rd magazine dumps with the drum.
Also... you can get the 10rd magazines from "Palmetto State Armory" Online. They look bad ass hanging out the mag well and run as flawlessly as the 5rd mags.
Lastly. I think there's a magpul m lok forend that can replace the crappie one the jts comes with, it will allow for picatinny rails and a foregrip. There's also a video on RUclips showing a guy adding a folding tactical stock! I'm not sure how I found that video...maybe search jts m12ak stock replacement? Sorry so long winded... I just wanted to share all the information I currently have on the weapon because your video was bad ass, and a bad ass gun needs bad ass upgrades!

Great video, mine is brand new but does not cycle like yours even on 3. What FPS were most of the rounds you were shooting? I’ve had problems anything under 1200 FPS. Did you have any problems during break in period? Keep up good work.
Not sure if you have this still but yes 1200 is still to low for reliable semi auto id day 1250 would be the lowest you would want to go in any semi auto
Ran a new one right out of the box with federal 7.5 shot flawlessly. I did find if you dont brace up the gun on your shoulder right, it will jam using light loads. As long as you hold it firmly though, she cycles.

Great video. Seems with the solid reliability the JTS would make an excellent home defense option actually.
The manual specifically says to clean the gun before first use... and apparently the gas piston area has some sort of cosmolene or other grease that needs to be cleaned out and then the gun properly lubed, before first us. The shipping 'grease' doesn't work for shooting.

Bruh I’ve shot some hella light loads out of mine. Once you dial it in/break it in and understand what it likes it’s a dream
I've shot every single brand of 12 gauge shells that walmart amd all my local gun stores have to offer amd it runs every single shell except for the Winchester AA 8 shot low noise low recoil...the round itself will work in many shotguns but best in pumps and single shots, it will cycle most semi autos as well but not in the JTS AK12 trust me it has never one time cycled reliably in mine, with or without the suppressor, it's just not powerful enough but having said that every other light load I've tried has worked

Couldnt get to work the past couple days so I finally shot my JTS with low brass birdshot and it worked GREAT!!!
I'm buying one this Tuesday and I'm super excited.I'm not expecting problems, but if anything major happens like a burr in the barrel, there are two professional gunsmiths within ten minutes of my house. No biggie right. I expect this gun to turn out like the WASR 10, the cheap budget option with a few problems , but a workhorse none the less. If I experience any problems I will comment again with deets.

Whisper, You have one of the M12 AK's that was made right. I bought one in 2017 and mine was not made right. When I got it, the bolt handle was very difficult to pull back and did not return like yours even after over a hundred rounds, The gas regulator adjustment would not turn. The gas piston was stuck in the regulator. It also had gas block ports that did not align with the regulator. I freed up the gas regulator with some sanding. I opened up / aligned gas port for number three setting in the gas regulator. I also opened the gas port on number two setting just a little bit. I had to do some work on the lugs that lock the bolt in the carrier and the grooves in the carrier due to poor machining. Now it works just fine. It will cycle low recoil buckshot with no problem on setting number three and high power rounds on setting number two.
Man that sucks, I'm glad I got the one that I did, but my gas adjuster is stuck now, it's like it's gotten so hot that its sealed shut
@@Whispertactical With Mine, There was a bur in the gas port inside the barrel. (Probably caused by the stamping process) When a round went thru, pieces of wadding and lead would get shaved off like a cheese grater and get into the gas regulator / piston. I removed the regulator and took a long piece of thin emery sand paper and run it thru the gas port into the barrel and out the front. I worked it like a shoe shine to remove the bur. That seems to have worked very well so far.
Man I'm glad I got a good and didnt have to do all if that, my gas setting is stuck now tho so it just lives on the 3rd setting

Direct impingement does build up internally more and need to be cleaned a little more frequently, but in practice AKs will clog and become inoperable from mud and dust way before an AR pattern will. The real issue is that AK style shotguns have more history and are better developed at this point than AR pattern shotguns. Look up InTheRange's mud tests for both AKs and ARs and you will find that ARs out perform nearly every other weapon platform in adverse conditions. Also, ARs are commonly chambered in a more effective round for longer range engagements while still being plenty effective in shorter ranges.
@@teemun3979 ar's are a closed system and ak's are pretty much open and vulnerable to the elements but if I had to choose one for long term reliability I'd choose the ak47 but if I had to choose one to be accurate and stand up to the elements amd to go to war with I'd choose the AR15 anyday
Thanks for your review I now own one, got a good deal on Black Friday. So 2 on the setting and I’ll be able to fire whatever? If I do heavier loads do I need to change it much? I literally just got it in today cleaning the hell out of it, and firing it tomorrow on my property.
Nice nice nice, so it just depends on what your shooting and no its 2 that runs pretty much everything it's actually setting 3 which is as open as the gas can be....so everytime you try a new brand of ammo put your setting on 1 then if it doesnt cycle go to 2 then if it still doesnt cycle go to 3....your may need a break it amd if your cleaning it then make sure that you put lubricant back on the rails and everywhere that metal runs metal just lay down a smooth layer of grease....if you try to run this gun dry you'll have some problems for sure...typically it likes ammo that's over 1200 fps but mine runs 1145fps jus fine...I do have over 3k rounds thru mine amd it's so broken in that the action is as smooth as butter....if you have any problems or questions after you shoot it tomorrow hit me up amd I'll see what I can help you with....also I'm gonna make a video on this gun explaining dang near everything about it amd how I clean it amd how I lube it amd how I broke mine in ad why some run perfect amd some dont,not sure when I'll have it out but I've been working it for a few days

Was lucky enough to pick one up at my local gun shop here in the peoples republic of Massachusetts, got a couple of 10 round mags but they will not stay in the gun so those are going back. Tried rock in click but they just fall out when you cycle it, bummer. Love your Channel!!!

Lol no...and yea bro there is alot of people out there who bought this gun and didnt even know how to work the gas adjuster then because it didnt run they gave it a bad review, and then there were people who literally had a great experience with it but when they took it apart for cleaning they didnt put the gas system back together properly amd now their guns just dont run lol, they had it set on 3 and put the actual adjuster back in set on 1 or 2 and then their gas was off in general and then they left negative reviews

I 100% agree with this review.. I would just like to add a suggestion. As soon as you buy one, clean the entire gun out, more so the gas block. There is some weird factory grease in the gas block that turns into a rubber cement type goo after you fire the gun a couple times. I think this is one of the leading factors to people thinking these guns are unreliable.
I didn’t have that goo in mine…I literally took mine outta the box and ran it and it never ever gave me a problem

@@trev6783 yea but it was seized because of so many rounds being put thru it without ever changing the setting…there was no grease in mine at all
@@Whispertactical oh ok. I had some in mine, it wasn't a grease no more though. The 1st time I shot it ran really good but even on 3 it would short stroke some low-recoil. When I got home to clean and lube, I discovered something I guess was once grease, but it was more clayish. I had to get a mini screwdriver and pry that inner cylinder out and lube it up nice. After I did that the next time out it cycled 100% of everything.
also on the 2nd cleaning the inner cylinder popped right out no problems.

I like federal powershok buckshot, I never ran the gun on any setting other than 3 tho, my favorite slug is def black magic rifled slug, their like 3$ each tho lol

Hey man i need help on my m12ak just like yours iv done the gas settings but the shell still stays stuck half way out the chamber im thinking it's going to need a new spring but I need another compliment on that
Is it new or older...has it been good and broken in...on the gas selector the 3 needs to be at the 6oclock position closest to the barrel...are you using the 5rd mags that it came with it or aftermarket mags....what shells are you using in it...you cam google tac 47 phone number, call amd leave Keith a message with you name and number amd he will call you back, he is a JTS master if you have a question then I promise you he has the answer

1-1/8 oz isnt really a light load but thats your most common and cheap target load found in store. Wonder if 1oz loads would run on 3 setting.

Mine was $549 when I bought it and now their $800, if your gonna buy a suppressor then I recommend skipping the shotgun can amd buying am all around rifle can, I did a review shooting my hybrid 46, suppressors are far from cheap but their worth it to me....the salvo requires you to buy a choke adapter to mount it amd their very very hard to find and over $100 each....so until things slow down I would skip out on it....now if you find a slave choke for remington threads in stock then go ahead amd buy it then get your can but nothing sicked worse than having a can that I couldnt even use because I couldnt find a choke adapter

It’s a miracle of god that thing would run those low shells mine won’t do it at all I’m only 150 shells in all low brass and I only got 7 in a row 1 time so I wouldn’t recommend the low stuff on the third setting it won’t run it until you break it in a 1,000 shells probably
What's your sight. Been looking at sling sets ups think have use a stock wrap with a 20mm forward barrel swivel clamp.
I haven't even looked into getting a sling for this, although I probably should....the sight I ran on this is one I'm doing a long term review on, it called a truglo tru tec green dot amd it held up fantastically, it was 140 on bigdaddyunlimited.com...I used it on my mark 4 for a few 1000 rounds then put it on a glock 40 10mm for 500 rounds amd then put it on the jts amd ran 1000 rounds for this review amd never once had to adjust the zero even when swapping guns

I’m gonna say that I would never ever ever in a million years use this gun as a home defense gun but use yourself some quality buckshot or slugs….the spring pressure is enough to crush the shells

@@tnbates8948 I had a PSA KS47 10.5inch and I loved it until I got my suppressors and started running everything suppressed, I put a asr mount muzzle break on it and It made it just unbearable to shoot even with the can on it, so I sold it amd got more suppressors...I have a video coming soon of me shooting the jts ak12 with the silencerco salvo 12 and the can actually messes up while shooting so i was unable to finish but once silencerco fixes it I'm gonna release the video

@Whispertactical what went wrong? Did you say screw it and threw it out, or did you get it fixed? I'm not saying in keeping this forever, but I'd like to hang on to it for a while and have fun with it. So, 5k +- rounds? That's not bad at all. How long would or shotguns last, generally?
@@ShOtTaLk2AZ one will last forever depending on quality….I don’t see this lasting forever but if you rarely shoot it and take care of it then yea it’ll last a while….i tightened the stock back up I think 4 times over the course of 5k rounds….I broke it 4 rounds after the 5k point

Have you had any trouble with a 10 round mag being a little loose in this shotgun, or is it supposed to be that way?
Yes you will have like an eighth of an inch of play
@@Whispertactical I used my 10 round mags for the 1st time and had a couple malfunctions, I had feeding issues, I’m not sure if it was the ammo I was using or the mag themselves?

Why did you say that it is not a home defense gun? I’m an AK guy and want a 12 GA for home defense and figure in a scary situation my AK training will transfer to this. What is a better option? Ps I have very close neighbors. Great video!
Personally I dont use shotguns for home defense, i use a glock 19x suppressed, and an ar15 chambered in 300aac suppressed....the reason I said I wouldnt use this as a home defense gun is because there has been instances when I've seen this very gun shot by someone who wasnt standing firm behind it and because of that it did malfunction, and clearing a malfunction from this gun sucks...its not a rack the bolt amd your clear you have to hold it against your leg and pull the split shotshell out amd it's a pain....you could use it for home defense I didnt mean it that way, I just personally wouldn't trust my families life to it, if I wasn't home amd my fiance grabbed it amd had to use it I'd be scared that it would malfunction on her when I know my ar or 19x wont malfunction
If you do use this for home defense make sure that you gas setting is open all the way amd make sure you keep it cleaned amd well oiled....dont use aftermarket mags unless their the actual 10 round jts mags amd def break them in...use 2 3/4 in shells...I havent had the best of luck with the 3in magnums, it will shoot them but It has malfunctioned on me with the 3in shells and I know I stood behind it firmly enough...also you def better get an optic cause sights are exactly the same as ak sights, completely blacked out

Also why not pass on the advice of not using slugs or buck shot if they neighbors are living that close they will and have gone thru walls and hit people in other homes..... yes I speak from the thousand a of shootings I responding to every 24 hr shift I would in Chicago . Bird shot will do just fine in making a point with no chance of killing the neighbor
If it’s malfunction long like any good gun owner they will narrow it down to what’s causing the issue and have it fixed by the factory or modified by a gun smith
@@ttss5726 by optic I meant red dot/green dot, not a scope or anything like that, I'm from Kyso I keep my oven light on in the kitchen which creates a very dim lighting so an optic at night for me is perfect in any room of my house....I also should have been more clear about the malfunctions, so out of almost 2000 rounds thru this gun I have had 3 malfunctions that wasmt gas related, 1 was when someone didn't stand firmly behind it using 8 shot federal low brass, amd the other 2 were with 3 inch turkey loads while breaking in a new 10 round saiga mag actually it was the 3rd amd 4th round out of the first mag during my mag break in so it doesnt have a problem that needs to be fixed by the company or gun smith, plus I guess I should have mentioned I only use suppressed home defense guns amd running this suppressed would just be to much to move around with, I do have a video with the salvo 12 coming soon, it actually messed up in the middle of round testing and I had to send it back to silencerco so I'm waiting for it to be fixed so I can finish the video...umm as far as slugs or buckshot I wouldnt use that for home defense I'd use birdshot just like you stated, even though I know that a slug ain't going thru my walls amd into another house, their just to far away from my house for that to happen but I'd def want birdshot for wider patterns so it would be more effective...this gun does shoot slugs amd buckshot very very well though I mean like really good...If i was into using shotguns for home defense then i would use this gun it's just the way i run my home defense gun would make me add an extra 12inchs on the front of this thing amd it's just unwieldy, i have a 14 month old baby girl so if i fired a gun under stress in my house then my adrenaline will be pumping like crazy amd the sound concussion will likely not cause any long term damage for my ears but if my baby is asleep and i blast off 5 birdshot by her room or bed then its gonna hurt her little ears amd that's why i choose to not run this as home defense

I bought one a few days ago and I bought some light target load, I had it on setting 3, and it would not cycle a single round. I went and got some magnums and they worked perfectly. Am I doing something wrong or does the gun just need broken in?
Bro yours may just need a good good break in, tolerances are not the same on all of em…my tolerances may have been a little looser than yours, but I will say that when my buddy shoots this gun it will not cycle for him but for me it cycles every time….our stance and how much we allow the gun to push us during the recoil cycle will absolutely 100% make or break reliability…so if your being pushed too much then it doesn’t have enough steadiness to make it reliable…wide boxing stance and do not let it move you and see how it cycles then
Possibly, some people have shotguns that are far more expensive and they didn't want to admit that one at this price level could be any good. Sure seems to be, though!
Will it run winchester super target 1145fps? I ordered the jts m12ak a week ago. Should come in sometime this week. Really looking forward to getting my new 12 gauge.
So I've ran everything walmart has to offer amd it ran it all reliably, I didn't record the winchester super target because at the time I didnt realize people wanted to know, now my macbook will not work because storage is to full and I'm trying to figure it out, I cant even open final cut pro x to edit a video so as soon as I get it up and running again I'll upload videos of me running the winchester super target unsuppresed and suppressed...but for now I can honestly say that it ran reliably in mine o the 3rd gas setting amd that it will run red box federal from walmart reliably as well.

I broke mine in with federal red box amd silver box winchester from walmart, just be aware of shooting slugs or really high powered rounds thru the ak12 if your gas is opened all the way cause it will kick really hard, I know it just a 12 gauge but I'm telling you it will thump you good
@@Whispertactical took the jts out shooting today. The winchester super target 1145fps would not cycle at all but everything over 1200fps ran flawlessly even during rapid fire. Very happy with this weapon.

Jts makes 5 amd 10 round mags
But they say it will tale almost all of the saiga mags, I got 2 10round sgm tactical from classic firearms and they work great I did have to break em in but they do work good, also the saiga 25round drums work from what I've been told

Would it be a terrible idea to run buckshot or high brass birdshot on setting #3?
Running powerful shells with the gas wide open is just making the gun run really hard and will wear it out faster...I ran buckshot on 2 amd high brass on 2 when I'm not making the video, I run slugs on 1 amd I run all the light and heavy target loads on 3
But no I mean it's not a terrible idea especially if your using it for self defense, I'd run everything on the 3rd setting for self defense

What kind of sight u have on your m12ak
I bought one and love it but I had a problem with it. After 100 rounds the end of the barrel started to mushroom around the choke. Was using nothing but #7 bird shot. Never seen a gun do that. Sent it back for a warranty fix. Still waiting to hear from them.
Your choke was probably not tight enough came loose while firing .. the smaller pellet of the birdshot went under the threads and caused this issue

Yes, in my honest opinion this is the best semi auto shotgun that you can buy in amongst all of the ak amd ar style shotguns....mines out ran veprs, saiga, panzer, lynx, amd ria

@@JamesTheAxeThrower that I'm not sure of exactly, this gun is saiga mag compatible but they say that sometimes a drum mag will work fine then others say that they have to modify the magwell, I'm just gonna have to order a couple different drums amd see what happens
But I have 2 sgm tactical 10rd saiga mags amd they work great, they did require a break in but they run flawlessly now
