When I was younger I admired Bus Drivers and wanted to become one. I started Flying Airplanes later for transportation interest. Thanks for sharing your videos.
I always wanted to drive Greyhound, thought I'd be doing it as a kid. Used to take a yearly trip as kid, which started my love for the bus. Even done some cross-countries. But, of course, things happen. That said, I thought about applying recently, but there's no openings in my city for the last year, and now I just converted to a career Fed job with extremely good pay, benefits and weekends off. To try it now, would be a HUGE gamble. I will own an older MCI bus, and an Eagle one day, I'll even keep them seated, haha. I know that some older guys that are into Scenicruisers, Silversides, ect, restore their buses to Greyhound livery. Wonder if Greyhound will care if a more recent bus, like a 102A3 or Eagle 15 was put into their livery? Thanks for the vids, most insightful thing I've seen on the subject.
👮🏾♂️Nice speech 👌 I'm tired off dealing w un-ruley school bus passengers and looking fwd & hoping for a more grown up, mature, respectful ect. crowd w Greyhound. Even though I realize ni ones perfect & ppl have there bad days and come from all differnt back roounds, so the driver/operator w always have challenges. Ive seen some slightly scary videos of Greyhound drivers dealing w nasty cirumstances from riders. I'm sure you've heard of some stories to learn by & dealt w your own enough to make a good video on. Do you have a video out on something of that sort? Would love to see one.
I love riding greyhound I want to know why do at drop of point greyhound don't have a facility for passengers that is lite up so people can wait for their rides at night
Does Greyhound hire on-call employees? Not part-time, but on call. I drive a school bus now and am retiring in 2 months . I have Class B CDL , passenger, air brakes . Love your videos
Make sure you state your driving experience in the online application and your driving record is somewhat clear. Should have gotten an automated message with a interview setup.
@Daniel Nguyen Yes it is required under ADA law (Americans with Disabilities Act) transportation employees (i.e. bus and train operators, airline pilots and/or stewardess...) Must identify themselves and the services of the trip provided essentially for the hearing impaired as well as for all. Ground Transportation operators sometimes forget to do so.
First Transit has put Greyhound Lines up for sale... This can place uncertainty in the lives of Greyhound drivers... any word on a buyer or does this mean the demise of Greyhound?

Hey, I applied for greyhound a month ago. No response. Can you give me some tips on how to get on?

What should passengers do if they misconnect? Which can happen from time to time
Is there continuing training throughout your career? What kind of company position advancement is available?
What if the driver doesn’t do the welcoming speech
Nothing. You might just end to with a few confused passengers asking a bunch of questions. I sometimes just call out the stops.

Does Greyhound have any manual transmission buses where you shift the gears?
No. They’re all automatic.
Greyhound should have made you a media manager once they saw your videos 2 years ago....They lost a good asset to their company.
What’s the Top pay ?
Is the Announcement Mandatory by Greyhound?
Wassup Buddy?
Yess
👍🏾

Doesn’t mean jack! 🤠
Are speeches made up or scripted?
basic script as far as info you must give but some drivers dont say anything at all.
