- What an amazing feeling being back behind the wheel! I can’t wait to see you all out there!
Huge thank you to my bro BiseHD for another great production!

Driving is in general the best job in the world in my opinion. I am driving truck since almost 29 years now and I still love it. You get places to see which you will never see in a normal stay close to home job. I visited already 16 different countries in Europe and saw at least half of Canada and the US with the truck. I am not driving now since mid of January because of medical reasons and I miss it a lot.
I wish you guys good luck with the new business you started, stay strong to make it through this unfortunate time.
I m a retired coach driver working out of New York city and after moving to Massachusetts Peter Pan Trailways in Springfield. I drove mainly the Boston run and New York city. I did charter work as well. It was the best job ever and I miss it. I looked forward to going to work everyday and driving all over. I'm still a bus nut and watch videos of busses. You can't explain to people that feeling you get when you get behind the wheel of a coach. Love your channel. By the way I'm gay too and the industry was very good to me. I hope things get back to somewhat normal soon. Be safe. You now have a new subscriber.
Can’t express how much I love this!! :-) be safe brother and thank you!!!
love your camera angles, and you think just like me about buses greyhound an railways have always been my favorite,I have not kept up with you for about a year but IM glad you still keeping it up thanks sean
so wonderful beautiful video friend Sean i like it ❤❤❤❤
I really miss riding on a bus. As a kid my grandfather drove a 70’s Eagle Bus up and down the east coast. From Trenton NJ to Florida throughout the early 80’s. He drove for Gateway and sometimes for Trailways. Nothing beats the sound of a Detroit Diesel with a 4 on the floor and a double clutch, hearing that bad boy roaring down the interstate
I know how you feel I was a tour driver for twenty five years and had to retire through medical reasons that was ten years ago and I still miss it like crazy would love to do what you are doing right now and believe me I wouldn’t be able to stop the tears good luck and happy new year from wales uk
Happy new year! I’m sorry you had to retire, when I hop the pond I’ll find us a bus and we’ll get you out there haha
About to start with a charter company, don't even have my CDL yet, but so glad I watched this video, so excited for my future.
I agree 100 % with you, but in my motor coach I've a cup holder, so I can keep both hands on the steering wheel...
I just did my first drive and I enjoyed it, I'm applying for Indian Trails in Upper Michigan...
Great vid. Feel the same behind the wheel. Love the job in Australia.
I really like this dude... He reminds me of myself when I was in the coach world with the former New World Tours out of Lorton, Virginia...
One can really tell how much you love driving buses. I gotta get down to AZ and get my bus out on the road soon, it's been a while with how things have been this year. Only a brake upgrade and some window seals before she's long distance highway worthy, gonna be tearing up through my grin as well i'm sure. This feeling you describe, it's also a part of motorcycling.
I enjoyed your ride I was a Stage Coach Driver starting in 1984 still hold Class B CDL with Passenger and tanker endorsement.Would love to be where you are today.
You have a great outlook of your old drivers liscense and having a great blackbird happens when one has a full B2 class liscnese in the uK and your remote work for your partner when one can work at a job for a while into the correct future of things in two sequences of evetns that you and your partner are able to produce when one works at a bus firm.
Looks like fun! We need to get you into the driver's seat of Gus. (671 / 4 on the column / manual steering) :)
Can’t wait!!! Sandra is my MC9, funny story about why she’s called that...but you’ll love her 6V92 and 5 on the floor. She’s a beaut!
I'm 27 and am seriously missing driving. I've not driven coach, mostly school and transit-ish, but i would love to try coach.
You should make more videos like these. They are awesome
Great video! I’m a new subscriber. I can see why you were about to cry. You really enjoy driving the bus. I’m a huge bus fan. My grandad drove greyhound out of Birmingham, Al. For 30 years. Sadly I’ve never driven a bus. I’ve been driving 18 wheelers for 23.5 years. I just recently got a 2020 Freightliner truck with the company I work for. It’s really nice to drive. I work out of Birmingham, Al. I’m on a dedicated account where I’m usually home on the weekend. I enjoy driving but in the big cities like Atlanta, the traffic can be awful... I would like to go to the greyhound museum up in Minnesota one day.... keep up the great work with your videos.
I feel the same way you do about driving buses. You said alot of thing on your video that fit me to the Tee. I thought that I was the only one that felt that way.
You have a great outlook and the delivery of your video is great ! I privately own a bluebird for conversion to a motorhome and I'm looking at getting my BC class 2 license for remote work and into the future. Thanks for a great series, the positivity and the information. Best wishes to you and your partner !
Same feeling when I’m driving
♥️
Miss those CP roads and seeing ya Shamrock!!
Amazing video! I don’t think I have ever related to someone who is as infatuated with buses as I am. I am 21 years old living in Saskatchewan and have wanted to be a bus driver since I was 6. I became a school bus driver at 19 and continue to pursue my dream of following in my uncle’s footsteps of becoming a coach bus driver! I have applied to a few companies like Moose Mountain and others. Due to the world situation it is difficult to get a job, as buses are not moving. I was just spending my free time looking at bus videos because I miss being behind the wheel! Thanks!!
Awesome! Check out the video of picking up my 1982 MCI. You’ll see a photo of it when it was brand new for Moose Mountain :)
@@shamrocksean Beautiful. I LOVE it. Congrats on your find btw. I hope to do the same someday soon. I currently hold a class 2 with A and S endorsements. I'm too excited to get behind the wheel of one of those bad boys. My uncle drove for Moose for 50 years. Throughout his career he drove Rita McNeil, Tommy Hunter, Frank Mills, and a couple years ago Charlie Pride for both of their last tours before Charlie passed away and my uncle hung up his keys for the last time. Moose Mountain was just recently sold to Engelheim Charters unfortunately, but I am trying to get my name known with them. Glad to see that someone else is as crazy and passionate about buses! I thought I was the only one. I really look forward to seeing more videos!
One handed around corner with coffee in hand? Safe?
With no passengers, situational awareness, my eyes in my mirrors? Yes. Don’t be acting like your drivers are hand over hand on every turn. With passengers it’s an entirely different game.
If not a coffee, it’s the tag axle in a Prevost with passengers.
@@shamrocksean sorry Sean, driving with 2 hands on the wheel is a basic premise of defensive driving. Holding a coffee in one hand while driving, especially while cornering, isn't acceptable. Suggesting that you drive differently with and without passengers is also not an appropriate comment. You should be operating the vehicle the same way no matter whether loaded or not. The tag axle is lifted before the turn and is lowered after completing the turn. It is a momentary activation of the lever, not a continual hands on of the lever like holding a coffee is. You lift the tag, return hand to wheel, complete turn, lower tag and return hand to the wheel.
Using the excuse that other drivers aren't "hand-over-hand" on every turn is suggesting that poor driving habits are defensible because other do it as well.
As a Safety & Training Manager, Instructor and operator with 30 years experience, that driving technique you demonstrated in that clip was potentially unsafe and shouldn't be condoned under any circumstances. Using the excuse that you had situational awareness and weren't carrying passengers isn't a professional attitude.
I'm surprised at the defensiveness in the reply. I've always found your clips and videos to be thorough, well explained and highly professional. After the promotional video and effort to attract new drivers to the profession, people will search out your other videos and positing one that shows poor driving habits isn't the message we want out there.
My initial comment wasn't meant to detract from the work you do, it was an observation. I'm disappointed in your comments.
@@paulariss8482 I’m not defensive nor am I defending unsafe actions. Sorry if it came off that way. I appreciate your insight, and I’ve been very transparent with my self, my own experiences and how I operate. As a recent AZ graduate I learned first hand that attempting turns with both hands on the wheel in a real world just isn’t an answer when you weigh so heavily and must up shift or down shift to maintain momentum and to not stall out or impede traffic weighting over 100,000 pounds.
Similarly to motorcoaches there are real world instances where you turn one handed.
I would hope that as a manager of one of Ontario’s most reputable operators, you can agree that as motorcoach drivers we have a wealth of knowledge and trust of our judgement and abilities be left to succeed in each trip.
Have a great day!
Hey Sean,
Just noticing the one handed turns. At parking speeds it is sometimes necessary for quicker steering responses required but you should at least the coffee mug 😉
I know your running empty and kudos for helping out your company but we also have Duty of Care to the public on the streets.
I'm not perfect by no means but do speak out when I see something questionable and welcome feedback to me to hone my skills as a driver.
Safe travels and I did enjoy your video and shall look at your others.
Keep the rubber on the road.
Hobart, Tasmania Australia 🤠
Those transmission I prefer to shift manually as I feel they short shift automatically which causes lugging when you need the ummph.
“Why do you love busses so much?”
The answer?....
You have “The Illness” Driving a Bus is awesome! That is, when you don’t have mechanical problems. Ha ha. I own a 1982 MCI MC-9, that I have converted to an entertainer coach. I also have a GM 1962 4106. I love it very much as well. Don’t you have an MC-9 just like mine? I saw in your latest video you driving one. George from South Carolina
Hey!! You’re absolutely right! And I do have an MC9 I just got :)
Awesome content do you think u ever sale this bus
Are you in Ireland?!
Awesome, nice video!
I agree with you. Personally think the bigger the better.
I'm a minibus driver here in the UK and I'm due to be a transport manager here in the UK to run my own company. I'm hoping to eventually buy a luxury coach too
Dude! I love your videos
✌🏾
Come to Ireland and drive a tri axle around the very narrow roads here... For example the ring of kerry you wont be holding a coffee cup doing that more like a roll of toilet paper.... Lol
LOL I actually visited Ireland in 2019 and got to meet the Kavanaugh’s. I’d love to return and drive commercially!
@@shamrocksean come work for croins of cork i do... All coaches are vahool lovely machines
fellow driver but from the UK ( thats not a bus buddy lol ) its a coach
In the US they are commonly referred to as buses
Nice video, Sean! I love it!
I been in a Coach before
This is my first time watching your videos so I’m guessing your a bus driver then
school bus guru yes, I drive motorcoaches and own a small a charter company :)
Charter buses are out of service just setting. They are selling buses for $ 5000.00 to $2000.00
I've been thinking about becoming a bus driver.. whats it really like??
Incredible! Strongly suggest it
@Shamrock Sean seems like a lot of steps to obtain it .. what are they looking for in the medical portion? Curious.
Never, ever direct traffic from the driver's seat of a motorcoach. If there's an accident, you can be liable for contributing to the cause. Waving other drivers thru seems polite, but it is dangerous. Now they look at you and not watch what's going on around them.
Here in California USA they are dumping buses all out of hell
You make it look so easy!!!
Heather and Court ... can’t wait to convoy with you someday!!
@@shamrocksean agreed!!
Sean, No seatbelt ,?
Skullitor lap belt only!’
Sean, I drive a 2002 H3-45 . I only have a lap belt. I like it better then the shoulder belt. Not as restrictive.
Skullitor yeah there are pros and cons, I prefer the cushioning and support of the seats newer than 2012...the new seats with a lap belt would be 🔥

Will definitely do more POV! @bisehd
Get the camera off of your face let us see the highway as you drive Sean... Christ!
