The F10 BMW M5 changed the game when it came out. The old E60 M5 had a V10 and single-clutch SMG transmission. The new for 2013 F10 M5 was now equipped with a Hot-V Twin turbo V8 with 460 horsepower a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This particular car was a 'competition package' car which increased power to 475 horsepower among other handling goodies. On top of that, the owner of this car has installed the stage 2 kit from renowned BMW aftermarket supplier Dinan. That means this car is now producing somewhere north of 700hp! All of that in a package that is sleek and discreet for all of your low-key go fast needs.

The F10M5 Is stock with 620 hp, with a simple flash tune, it is 700 hp.
You can pick one up for mid 30s now. When you can accelerate at 120 km an hour, and spin the wheels, It is intoxicating.
Well people say it’s a big car, that’s because Theyve never driven it.
I had the Dinan stroker M3, With 527 hp… And the F 10 just walks away from it.
It is an amazing piece of kit. And I love it

Don’t modify the car, do proper and regular maintenance… and this car will last without any issues.

I love this car! its not the best handling M5 from what I heard from former owners, but its still quite a sleeper and a nice daily!

For straight-line traction one is much better off in Comfort suspension as it will maximize weight transfer.
The best launches I've done have simply been to punch the throttle to ~80%, modulate, and then go WOT as soon as it shifts to 2nd.
Every time I watch an M5 video - it just makes me wanna had over to Autotrader straight afterwards or even I finish the video😅

A.J. W. Tough call on that, it’s obviously more comparable to the Charger Hellcat, but this is better in almost every way. But it’s different enough that I doubt many people are cross shopping them.

You’re right! It is pretty inconsistent with my love of movable body work. I just always want to reach up and shut a trunk and forget that some of them are electric close like this one. And the car gets pissed if you manually close it.
Hot hot is the oil in a “regular” car?
Mitchell Barnow “regular” car oil should be about the same temp as performance car oil. The difference is that most regular cars don’t get pushed in the same ways, and they can’t cool themselves back off as efficiently.
@@ElliottAlvis My F90 M5 runs at a solid 250 degrees F, slightly more with high load. It's just a characteristic of that engine.

*the M5 F10 is the last car that would be ''the best'' for ''every situation'', this beautiful monster has 560hp and 650nm at 1250rpm? all RWD, so basically allday traction issues, you would not be able to go on winter sport with this car, its heavy and its a boat with to much power on the rear wheels, and i fucking love it*

Elliott Alvis I think one thing to consider is one is OHV and the other one is DOHC. Now we’ll just have to see CT5-V blackening just because it has a manual V8

yiyangcheng yes, but I’ve driven the new all wheel drive M5 and it’s just as good as this car but with grip. This car is spinning the tires at anything below 65mph

The placement of those turbos has been a disastrous design decision for BMW, well more so, the customer who is outta warranty ...the heat that is generated has been a nightmare for BMW owners...having to replace the valve stem seals...and though the heat was not entirely the reason...BMW telling customers to go 15k between oil changes, the heat was a significant contributing factor. Those rubber seals...$30 ...replacement $4,000.00
I was so close to getting a 750i as you can get a 2012-2013...$120K car for $15K ...however finding one that doesn’t throw a smoke screen on start up, is quite a different story.
My M5 has a misfire issues the next day I bought it smh

On a budget you need a computer that can interface with the car. It will tell you where
to look. You do have to learn the software. It could be distributor cap, wires, coil, maybe
an injector. Just don’t buy cheap parts and learn to wrench if you don’t already. I’m close to
buying an M5, the most dangerous one. If the car is still there Wednesday I’m gonna buy it.

My Gran Turismo video game synthetic car noises sounds better than this M5 F10. The augmented sound through the speakers sounds terrible. Definitely not the same as the screaming V10 E60.😆
True, but it sounds better in person than you’d think. Especially for an early version of synthetic engine sound.

joetz1 most of the journalists thought that the E60 was a piece of junk, the F10 has been pretty well loved from what I’ve seen.
Elliott Alvis for different reasons. The E60 was too half baked with the crude and unreliable transmission. The F10 M5 is an extremely numb car to drive with zero steering feel and a numb chassis. I drove one and absolutely hated it. One of the most disappointing cars I have ever driven. The comp package is supposed to have revised steering for better feel so maybe that’s a little better.

joetz1 maybe that’s the case. This is the only F10 I’ve driven. The steering is heavily assisted but I wouldn’t call it numb.

Yea I’m in the market for one. I got into an accident two months ago with my ZHP E46 coupe and unfortunately it was totaled so I had to let it go. I want an F10 M5 really bad but I keep hearing nightmare stories about them. Not sure what I’m going to do.
