A video such as this needs a bigger audience and that reach can only be reached by diesel patches himself (no disrespect to weasel beatches ofcourse) but it was something only diesel patches can achieve.
What surprised me the most was them almost purposely not mentioning The Clone Wars and just solely referencing Revenge of the Sith. There were so many opportunities to reenact key moments from that series into live action, specifically Anakin talking to Obi-Wan about Ahsoka leaving, that would’ve built up the final duel perfectly. How Dave Filoni, who was the show runner for Clone Wars, wasn’t chosen to work on this series has me convinced either Lucasfilm deliberately sabotages their own projects or they’re THAT delusional.
My friends were shocked when I gave my honest reaction towards kenobi. It didn’t feel all that amazing, and they thought it was a horrible take. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one
The thing that saved this series though was something that can only be found online and thats the Kenobi re-edit. Wssentially its the entire show condesned into a 2 hour film, where the person was able to cut out the fat and usless parts of the film as well as parts that are just dumb to have and organize them into a movie thats actually a really good emotional film about kenobi saving leia and confronting vader. They even used the classic star wars soundtrack and it works waaaay better then the original score in kenobi. As an example too, the editor complety cut the leia chase scene by just having them when first confront her, then put the bag on her head. Thats it. Saves so much time and just makes sense story wise.
The actors they brought back to reprise their roles like Obi-wan, Anakin, Senator Organa, and uncle Owen were the reason this show had enjoyable parts. If they recasted everyone the show would of been entirely bad.
*Kenobi, doesn’t need a sprawling Galaxy-wide adventure* it could’ve been him working on a ranch on a criminal ruled planet.. as he tries to avoid conflict or something - like John Marston in RDR 2 or Rambo in Last Blood.. but with Kenobi.
Vader was by far one of the best things about the entire show in general, which was really cool to see because Disney knows they can't do Vader dirty my making him "weak" like they've done with other certain iconic figures in the franchise, or else the entire fandom itself would be legitimately pissed! (Even more so than when TLJ came in and f#cked the series over too far.)

Nah. Vader was very inefficient. He could have 86'd Obi wan like 3 times, and his people were having a hard time capturing a kid who would run a 200 meter track in 4 hours. The grand inquisitor was supposed to be a powerful underling, but I would question the competence of anyone that was willing to hire a bitch like him. As for the woman who survived Vader's light saber, where he himself was amputated with little to no effort by a similar weapon, and you get what I am trying to say. Don't know how, but Disney made Vader incompetent. The actor did what he could, but the story didn't do him any favours.

honestly the main thing about the show that i liked is that we got to see Ewan and especially Hayden on screen again aswell as thier respective characters, it was just a nice feeling seeing my childhood heroes doing thier thing!

Like they knew what target to shoot at and how to shoot, just didn't hit the bullseye, though I've seen a lot of people say it's a thing unique to Disney stuff and that before Disney+ it was all perfect and yeah no it wasn't not by a long shot.

My understanding of when Obi-Wan gets that powerboost is in the flashback, he realizes that instead of worrying about Vader and failing him, he realizes that he has a new hope with Luke and Leia. In a sense, he overcomes his fear of Vader by forgiving himself for his failure.
Ewan tried to carry this show. But the writing was just too shit for him to save. Also flea being in the show made it 50 times funnier to me. Also vader got nerfed.
