    Hey, thank you very much for your very informative and entertaining videos. I'm a beginner and own a Joysway Rocket v2 and had no idea that the teflon liner was not supposed to move! A while ago the tube moved towards the motor after greasing the flex shaft. Just moved it back and thought nothing of it. Right after this video I scuffed the tube and used super glue to fix it. You saved me from a lot of trouble due to ignorance on my part! Thanks :D

    Sorry for your breakage. But glad to see it. Sorry, but your video kept me from breaking mine tomorrow. Running the same motor as you 200 amp seaking, 2 5000mah 120 batteries. Just received a 48mm cut down to a 44 with a good cleanup and thinning etc. If it wasn't for you I know I would have destroyed the shaft. Tried to order the upgraded shaft from Ose. 30 secs before it broke, it sounded louder than normal. It was spinning the liner probably. Mine did it too. I just installed a 3/16" cable last night in my 29. .150 cables cant handle high rpm & big props. Fine for 4s just not 6s. 3 of my boats don't run liners bc of this same thing.

    I have my old joysway surgecrusher it is a 24'' cat i used to love so much... last time i ran her was 10 years ago... I remember i ruined batteries and smoked a few esc's before i got her right... last setup was 4-5 s using 120 amp hobbywing boat esc and a 36-60 1900kv out of my motley crew boat... i had changed the stock 5mm flex to aquacraft 4mm which ended up breaking wear the solid steel connects to flex...Anyway i actually found the old 5mm yesterday which is very solid still...not sure why i changed in first place... I popped out a brass sleeve out i had put in when i change to 4mm ...the deal with the stock 5mm is it has to been installed from the front since it has solid maybe 5.5mm 2.inch steel before it tappers down to 5mm where prop is... so i have to remove drive dog and install from front... i think this i why i changed it,but actually its a good setup since if flex broke the prop has no way of falling off...My question is have you come across similar flex drive designs and what do you think?? thanks again for helping me figure out the best rc boat fixes... Happy boating!

    The UL-19 is my first and only RC boat. I just put together a 2 man raft. Made a wooden carpeted floor, stool with hinged top for storage, motor mount with small utility table for putting the RC boat on, and a 46lb thrust trolling motor. My 12v battery will be here today or Monday then I can take my boat out for its maiden! Well both boats out for their maiden :) plus I'm gonna do some fishing from my raft while I'm out.. SO FAR i like using the shaft liner...i lubricate the drive shaft properly and after i install it into the motor or "callet" or whatever i lift the bow and use a dropper with synthetic oil in it and put it on the shaft that is exposed just before the "callet" and then i pick the boat up and hold it with the bow pointing to the sky and rotate the shaft so that the oil will run down the shaft...i dont know if it helps but after i had my shaft get hot at the motor i started doing this and its been cool ever since:)...just like Mathew Mcconahay said in daisied and confused "hey man do you have a joint on you"..."well you would be a whole lot COOLER if you did"...lol!!!!!

    Big B, I don't know if it is this video, but there is one that you discussed unwarranted water entry in your boats. specifically a silicon tube over stuffing tube to prevent water entry at motor coupler end. I need some suggestions on that when there is not enough room between coupler and end of stuffing tube.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 года назад

      Hmmmm not sure what you could do there? Make sure your shaft is tight in the strut! Alot of times water will enter thru the shaft/strut. May need a new shaft or strut or both. I don't know with out seeing & looking at the boat. You could always trim a very small segment of the stuffing tube to accommodate the silicone tube. But not to much? Hope this helps. Just throwing ideas around

    • @nsvaluto48328
      @nsvaluto48328 2 года назад

      @@IRONCLADRC thanks I will consider all ideas right now I tried a second bushing in the motor end of the stuffing tube. Unfortunately I tried seating one end and the other end pushed out may have to trim the one to the point where it does pust out.
