      Everyone also has the option to speed up and ffwd through the videos if they so choose. I can watch a 10 min video in less than 2 or 3 min and still get what I need out of it, if I don't feel I need every detail. I also usually multitask while listening to videos, books on tape, or any form of audio or video content (while listening at least 1.5-2x speed), instead of just sitting and watching and doing nothing else. I listen while cleaning, cooking, working if the work doesn't require too much thinking, knitting, getting ready in the morning, in the car on my way somewhere, etc. It's like speed reading, sometimes I use the technique and sometimes I take my time, depends upon what it is I'm reading and why. Same goes for these videos. Some people want the back story and details and others don't, so modify how you consume it instead of complaining about free content that the guy took the time and effort to research and present to us. Sure, maybe the longer videos with ads are what garner more revenue for him, but it's his business and he needs to make a living like the rest of us. There are ads on TV too and we've learned to live with them, why is this any different?

    Always interested in videos regarding inflammation, as I have Hashi's and Parkinson's, both inflammation-related diseases. The wheat grown today is not the same plant as the wheat our grandparents ate. It's genetically modified, and to get it to ripen and dry at the same time for harvest, it's sprayed with Round-Up - and probably a much more concentrated version than what a home gardener uses. I'd be interested to know if there are studies comparing modern wheat crops, and those grown from non-GMO, not Round-Up Ready wheat.

    I'd read that fermented foods also have a lot of AGEs. So what's the rule around fermented foods?
    Also, does pressure-cooking count as overcooking meat? Is overcooking purely defined by temperature, or is cooking time also an issue?

    • @peterkizer6163
      @peterkizer6163 4 года назад +1

      IMHO, the issue of "overcooking" meat is the conversion that occurs during "browning" - also called the Maillard Reaction. I do not believe either pressure-cooking, or microwave cooking causes this, and it's impossible to avoid over an open flame (i.e., grilling). In fact, boiled meat never comes out "brown."

So even though my inflammation was already within whats called normal, I managed to reduce it even more. 0mg/L is pretty much impossible but will try to get it as close as possible.

    Thanks Tom! I'm always expanding my health knowledge through people like T. D. and Dr.berg and so on. My philosophy is fill your mind with as much info and then come to my own conclusions. My 2 personal doctors i deal with have somewhat different ideas how to deal with my type 2 diabetes but since Nov.2018 after listening to people like Tom D. my numbers have been fairly normal. :)

    Hoping you can help me. I have asked this question to many people and it is never answered. I work 12 hour night shifts. I cannot change my hours. How do I address when to eat? Do I switch everything around and treat my waking at 5pm as if its everyone else's morning? For example, how should I take my supplements? Certain vitamins, etc should be taken during the morning or at night. Another question is I know it is best to break a fast in the morning after a workout but my morning is 5pm. So I am quite confused in how I can best approach this issue to make the most out of this unusual schedule. Thank you!!!

    I love your videos because of all the information, even though I didn't do keto back then. I've started lowering carbs with IF recently. I want to know one thing, where do you learn all of this? (you always say you are not a doctor). It is impressive the amount of knowledge you have.

    Fabulous vid. But, with children, what would be a substitute for "fruit"? I put that in quotes simply because there are probably some fruits that are less inflammatory than others; and also, what non-fruit can I give my kids when they need a snack? Cooking bacon: do it in the oven, where the heat is less intense than stove-top, and "crispy" can be avoided while still cooking thoroughly. Finally, we have no soybean oil in the house (only avocado, olive and coconut); and I read labels to avoid soybean oil in products (e.g., Chosen has an avocado oil mayonnaise).

    Thought you said no bread? THOSE ARMS LOOKIN LIKE LOAVES LoL! 💪 Great job! One of my kids is not celiac but so sensitive to the gluten that she just cant eat it anymore. We even made home made bread with just organic flour, salt, water, and yeast and she would end up in the fetal position on the floor in so much pain and screaming. Biopsy showed no celiac, so you're data is spot on!

    Since sucrose (sugar) is 50% fructose and 50% glucose, and high fructose corn syrup is usually 55% fructose and 45% glucose, there is basically no difference between “sugar” and “HFCS.” Calling out HFCS and not sugar in general would seem to be a distinction without a difference.

    I hate doing what’s right with my diet and working out regularly and have stopped loosing weight. I have been the exact same weight for 12 months it’s frustrating I’ve tried fasting, keto, clean eating calorie counting, carb cycling it’s frustrating I’m trying to just loose 5-10 more pounds. I’m not doing cardio like I should maybe that’s the problem but I’m afraid if I keep up my diet habits and add more cardio I’m going to loose my muscle gains as I loose the weight. Keto does works fasting does work and it is great for weight loss and lowering inflammation but you will hit a wall.

I have to use sucralose otherwise I get terrible stomach pains & I'll get serious IBSd if use the other two. I've checked my blood sugar a few times after using sucralose (at different times after using it) & it doesn't affect my blood sugar....nor does it make me gain weight or have inflammation.
