This is a diet i recommend once your at a healthy weight Monday: Fasting Tuesday:Fasting Wednesday:Keto Thursday: Keto Friday:Keto Saturday: Cheat Sunday: Cheat This is great for ppl who have Friend's that aren't keto and wanna enjoy themselves on their "days off" when they would be hanging out with other ppl So on cheat days try to stick to real food that isn't keto: whole wheat pizza, brown rice, quinoa, granola bars, french toast etc normally stuff retard expensive to make on keto or can't make otherwise. Then you Fast for 36-48 hours because autophagy is basically a survival of the fittest mode where your cells do spring cleaning in your body. There are plenty of benefits to doing this just google it. After fasting your ketone levels should be through the roof as the more you fast the more your body produces ketones. Then you do keto for 3-4 days (depends if you have 1 or 2 cheat days a week). Eat meats cooked in olive oil tumeric seasonings w.e mixed in with veggies or have protein powder etc. Over time hopefully your body will recognise that ketones are its main source of fuel but it can also effectively utilize glucose giving you metabolic flexibility.

If I hear another woman say to me “I don’t want to do weights because I don’t want to put on muscle” I’m going to scream! A. It won’t happen no matter how much weights you do. B. If you suddenly put on too much muscle, please tell me how the F you did it?
Some don't even want that thigh gap because they afraid to be too bulky. "Trust me, honey. It's harder than you think. You can have one without the other to a degree."
Ok well I agree. However, you absolutely can reshape your body with weights in the WRONG way which can lead to bigger thighs when you just want a rounder booty. You really have to know what you’re doing. As well , you can increase your arms and back in the wrong way too. Soooo I’m just saying that some of us have lived through that experience and unless your have a rly great trainer or study physiology...you could just keep squatting heavy like crazy and never fire your glutes properly and end up with huge thighs, for example. These experiences lead women to justifiably dislike weight training. We’re not just whining.

Question: You've stated in the Women's fasting vids that you should not combine carbs with fat. Can you clarify whether this is only in the new hours after a fast, if this is on the day of the fast, or if this applies all the time? I'll add that ginger/ACV combo you suggest. Day 2 of fasting! Just Some Guy without a Mustache id love to believe that. If that works for you, awesome. It doesn’t seem to work for me. I’m almost at about 10 percent body fat now, and it’s slowly going away on the lower abs. The love handles went away a while ago and now it’s the very lower abs and lower back fat that is the last to go!! For me it’s just cutting and cutting and more cutting. OH!! And doing transverse abdominal vacuum is exercising does help suck your stomach in more. Working the area helps them pop, but doesn’t help spot reduce body fat. I know I’ve heard that some people are more prone to spot reduce than others. For me it’s digging digging digging and suffering lololol

Thank you for discussing the thermogenic effect of exercise on "spot fat-reduction." Educating patient about diet, exercise, and that fine line between doing both correctly and incorrectly, is a complex process.

This is why I like the cold more than heat. I even sleep with an open window in winter, often trying to keep my blanket away. The trick is to get hot before sleeping. Once you feel heated and crave that cool, seek that cold and sleep through it. You may wake up if you are too cold or you might not fall asleep right away but it's better to have effective nights than none at all.
I remember testing this idea of thermo effect on specific body area in early 90s. That was a trend back then but it turned to be just a funny experience not reall working method. But exercise on specific body area worked well. Most important was keeping control on my cortisol
I understand all this stuff but you know at end of day our focus should first focus on eating right and avoiding carbs and sugar and the rest will take care of itself. And if our bodies don’t look like what the world says it should we have to accept who we are and move on to focusing on what God had called us to do and that we are healthier in doing so.
He does have a few videos where he touches on this. I'm not trying to answer for him, but when you lower carbs - lowering insulin and blood sugar your body releases water. In turn you drink more water flushing your body. Sometimes you may need to use supplements and take a look at what food you need to eat more of.
If you take away from this video that you should take lithium supplements you are doing something wrong I think. Eat the healthy foods that contain lithium instead.

Lithium is tricky stuff. Take too much and you'll have factors health issues. Trace amounts is fine. On the plus side, less spastic people. Lithium would really balance them out.
Being that it is January and in the colder part of the country at the time of this writing, will take advantage of the cold environment to trigger Nature's version of cool Sculpting, keep the thermostat at 67-68 degrees F and workout fasted.

I've absolutely spot-reduced, but a lot of what happened was I actually replaced the area with muscle, and there wasn't room for fat. But the fat definitely also left the area.
Hey Thomas! I have a Keto question you may not have heard (sorry it's unrelated to the video): do you have any experience or know of any research regarding the effects of ketosis on depression? I've heard two contradictions, one being that low-carb diets will exacerbate depression because carbs are necessary for serotonin production, the other being that the keto "high" (feeling euphoric or having high energy) can help ease depression. Any thoughts? (I'll take either a comment or video🤔😉)

I've discovered that it is possible to isolate certain areas during exercise for improvement I have done this for the back of my legs and improved my cellulite considerably
If you're having trouble with getting into it, try this: - Start with lukewarm showers; this teaches your body that it doesn't always need a nice hot shower - From lukewarm, gradually decrease the temperature as you shower, ending a little colder each time - Same gradual thing, but starting a little colder each shower as well If you keep going, you'll still get a "shock" (cold never stops being cold), but you'll be able to withstand it for longer :D

Thomas I know you have had previous on spot reduction and its a polarizing subject but I have to agree with you. I have a hip or back in balance in my left and right sides like my left tends to drag and my right leg comes up more when I walk and work out so if I am sprinting or jumping rope and I don't think to correct it my right side gets more blood flow and there is a noticeable difference in more weight loss in the right side of my torso/oblique area than the left .
Dani Pills it really depends on you! My stomach doesn’t get upset at all even before breakfast. It’s the first thing that I drink in the morning. And, I have acid reflux. Which coincidentally I’ve heard it’s good for it, but I don’t now for sure 🤷🏻♀️
I think its idea and greater benefits come from drinking it first thing in morning but if you can't because it upset your stomach or whatever then at night before bed is great too. Getting this from his past videos. It also helps if you put a little lemon juice and sweetener like monk fruit in it too. So many great benefits come from drinking ACV
Hey Thomas, I have some video ideas for you. I know you mainly focus on weight loss since you yourself had that journey, but I am not trying to lose weight I just want to be healthy. So it would be really cool to see some content focused on us thin people. (click read more) Things like: Breaking a fast with fatty foods if you DON'T want to lose weight. (Good or still bad even if your goal isn't to lose fat) Fasting/Keto if you are underweight/skinny and not doing weight training to build muscle. Is fasting a pointless endeavour or a terrible idea if you are underweight and negating the autophagy benefits by drinking ANYTHING besides water during a fast? Thanks for reading! Kim Gossett, I’m not TD, nor do I play him on TV, but I don’t see where Ginger or ACV would put a damper on your fast. I put ginger, cinnamon and ACV in my green tea everyday and sip it while at work. Right now, as a matter of fast. 😉
Ginger juice can go bad and possibly it is pasteurized. I actually buy large pieces of raw ginger, put them through a juicer and pour into an ice cube tray. I store the frozen cubes in a freezer bag, pop them ino my water with ACV (and whatever Thomas suggests). Hope this helps in any way

I checked all the links and didn't find ANY reference about Lithium Orotate influencing LPR5 pathways. The only mention is in sources for frontiersin.org article, and it's about "lithium chloride increases bone formation and bone mass in mice." Considering that Lithium Orotate is not very well researched yet and to be honest after researching it for a while today all it affects feel like placebo effect I think it's not cool to authoritatively include it in your list, Thomas.

I've been looking into getting some lithium orotate (btw do you recommend a brand?) and Everywhere I read that it cause weight gain as a side effect!!! Do you really feel that this won't reverse the progress that we've made with losing weight? Any tips to counter it if we experience this side effect?
This is a wild video. I enjoyed watching it. I'm a;ready trying some of these things. I take a regular shower and finish off with cold water. I figure it's like the Russian Sauna effect. It immediately invigorates me after the cold water stops. Some of the other information is new to me. It's good to have it all on one video. I'm also doing the soap thing and moisturizers like you recommended. I'm using a different topical about every other day to see if there is any noticeable difference. If I‘m understanding correctly you are referencing thyroid deficiency. If your TSH is high your T3 and T4 levels are low and the only way to normalize it is to take thyroid supplements such as Levothyroxine (T4 that gets converted to a more potent T3 in the body). And the only way to diagnose that is to see a doc, I never heard of the zinc theory might be something worth looking into if your thyroid panel is otherwise normal.
That fat disposition on abdominal or gluttes is about thyroid conditions like thyroid body type when a person struggling not just with diet but with a chronic or huge stress. Stress makes a butt flat and getting the fat more or less all over the body

But at age 57 and for 5 years now, I’m at a steady and healthy weight (127# 5’8”) and mostly vegan with occasional cheese consumption and once weekly fish. But even at my height, my fat stores are in my abdominal area and back of arms. (I had a DEXA to read body fat storage areas). At 30% body fat, this is considered excellent and with only 4% of women for my age group. FINALLY my questions! 1. Would applying ice packs (wrapped your protect skin) to the waist area be if any use? 2. How long should one be in a cold shower. 3. Do you have a recommendation for zinc dosage as I eat fatty fish only once a week. I also take only vegan vitamins. If you read this, I thank you in advance.
Cold showers I might do 💦❄️ but having the house cold in the winter I do nothing but have cold chills constantly with thyroid issues I have to have it warmer thermostat about 73F or I can’t even sleep I wake up freezing😔. You really have to know what you’re doing. As well , you can increase your arms and back in the wrong way too. Soooo I’m just saying that some of us have lived through that experience and unless your have a rly great trainer or study physiology...you could just keep squatting heavy like crazy and never fire your glutes properly and end up with huge thighs, for example. These experiences lead women to justifiably dislike weight training. We’re not just whining.

Question: You've stated in the Women's fasting vids that you should not combine carbs with fat. I’m almost at about 10 percent body fat now, and it’s slowly going away on the lower abs. The love handles went away a while ago and now it’s the very lower abs and lower back fat that is the last to go!! For me it’s just cutting and cutting and more cutting. OH!! And doing transverse abdominal vacuum is exercising does help suck your stomach in more. Working the area helps them pop, but doesn’t help spot reduce body fat. I know I’ve heard that some people are more prone to spot reduce than others. For me it’s digging digging digging and suffering lololol

This is why I like the cold more than heat. I even sleep with an open window in winter, often trying to keep my blanket away. The trick is to get hot before sleeping. Once you feel heated and crave that cool, seek that cold and sleep through it. You may wake up if you are too cold or you might not fall asleep right away but it's better to have effective nights than none at all.

I remember testing this idea of thermo effect on specific body area in early 90s. That was a trend back then but it turned to be just a funny experience not reall working method. But exercise on specific body area worked well. Most important was keeping control on my cortisol

Thomas, can you do video about why we more noticeably become deficient in vitamins and minerals when we're low carb?
He does have a few videos where he touches on this. I'm not trying to answer for him, but when you lower carbs - lowering insulin and blood sugar your body releases water. In turn you drink more water flushing your body. Sometimes you may need to use supplements and take a look at what food you need to eat more of.
And just like that, lithium capsule prices have gone up on Amazon...
If you take away from this video that you should take lithium supplements you are doing something wrong I think. Eat the healthy foods that contain lithium instead.

Hey Thomas! I have a Keto question you may not have heard (sorry it's unrelated to the video): do you have any experience or know of any research regarding the effects of ketosis on depression? I've heard two contradictions, one being that low-carb diets will exacerbate depression because carbs are necessary for serotonin production, the other being that the keto "high" (feeling euphoric or having high energy) can help ease depression. Any thoughts? (I'll take either a comment or video🤔😉)

I've discovered that it is possible to isolate certain areas during exercise for improvement I have done this for the back of my legs and improved my cellulite considerably

Embrace it with deep breathing!
If you're having trouble with getting into it, try this:
- Start with lukewarm showers; this teaches your body that it doesn't always need a nice hot shower
- From lukewarm, gradually decrease the temperature as you shower, ending a little colder each time
- Same gradual thing, but starting a little colder each shower as well
If you keep going, you'll still get a "shock" (cold never stops being cold), but you'll be able to withstand it for longer :D

Thomas I know you have had previous on spot reduction and its a polarizing subject but I have to agree with you. I have a hip or back in balance in my left and right sides like my left tends to drag and my right leg comes up more when I walk and work out so if I am sprinting or jumping rope and I don't think to correct it my right side gets more blood flow and there is a noticeable difference in more weight loss in the right side of my torso/oblique area than the left .

Dani Pills it really depends on you! My stomach doesn’t get upset at all even before breakfast. It’s the first thing that I drink in the morning. And, I have acid reflux. Which coincidentally I’ve heard it’s good for it, but I don’t now for sure 🤷🏻♀️
I think its idea and greater benefits come from drinking it first thing in morning but if you can't because it upset your stomach or whatever then at night before bed is great too. Getting this from his past videos. It also helps if you put a little lemon juice and sweetener like monk fruit in it too. So many great benefits come from drinking ACV

Breaking a fast with fatty foods if you DON'T want to lose weight. (Good or still bad even if your goal isn't to lose fat)
Fasting/Keto if you are underweight/skinny and not doing weight training to build muscle.
Is fasting a pointless endeavour or a terrible idea if you are underweight and negating the autophagy benefits by drinking ANYTHING besides water during a fast?

Ginger juice can go bad and possibly it is pasteurized. I actually buy large pieces of raw ginger, put them through a juicer and pour into an ice cube tray. I store the frozen cubes in a freezer bag, pop them ino my water with ACV (and whatever Thomas suggests). Hope this helps in any way

I checked all the links and didn't find ANY reference about Lithium Orotate influencing LPR5 pathways. The only mention is in sources for frontiersin.org article, and it's about "lithium chloride increases bone formation and bone mass in mice."
Considering that Lithium Orotate is not very well researched yet and to be honest after researching it for a while today all it affects feel like placebo effect I think it's not cool to authoritatively include it in your list, Thomas.

I've been looking into getting some lithium orotate (btw do you recommend a brand?) and Everywhere I read that it cause weight gain as a side effect!!! This is a wild video. I enjoyed watching it. I'm a;ready trying some of these things. I take a regular shower and finish off with cold water. I figure it's like the Russian Sauna effect. It immediately invigorates me after the cold water stops. Some of the other information is new to me. It's good to have it all on one video. I'm also doing the soap thing and moisturizers like you recommended. I'm using a different topical about every other day to see if there is any noticeable difference. If I‘m understanding correctly you are referencing thyroid deficiency. If your TSH is high your T3 and T4 levels are low and the only way to normalize it is to take thyroid supplements such as Levothyroxine (T4 that gets converted to a more potent T3 in the body). And the only way to diagnose that is to see a doc, I never heard of the zinc theory might be something worth looking into if your thyroid panel is otherwise normal.

I am a CPT, certified yoga teacher and life long yo-yo dieter. But at age 57 and for 5 years now, I’m at a steady and healthy weight (127# 5’8”) and mostly vegan with occasional cheese consumption and once weekly fish. But even at my height, my fat stores are in my abdominal area and back of arms. (I had a DEXA to read body fat storage areas). At 30% body fat, this is considered excellent and with only 4% of women for my age group.
FINALLY my questions!
1. Would applying ice packs (wrapped your protect skin) to the waist area be if any use?
2. How long should one be in a cold shower.
3. Do you have a recommendation for zinc dosage as I eat fatty fish only once a week. I also take only vegan vitamins.

Cold showers I might do 💦❄️ but having the house cold in the winter I do nothing but have cold chills constantly with thyroid issues I have to have it warmer thermostat about 73F or I can’t even sleep I wake up freezing😔.
