Grave Digger is a German heavy metal band that was first formed in 1980 by Chris Boltendahl and Peter Masson. Emerging from the early-to-mid 1980s heavy metal scene of their native country, Grave Digger has been referred to as one of the so-called "big four" of German power metal, along with Helloween, Rage and Running Wild.

Love this version, with the a cappella intro, and the bagpipes! Hope you don’t feel it as offensive, it’s Scottish history, but many of us in Germany love Scotland and it’s drive and fights for freedom and for their rights! Amazing. Love this version. Also it's funny how you've heard Hansi in two bands already but not in his band. He features as a guest with quite a lot of bands, now that I think about it. As for Blind Guardian, it's really hard for me to pick just one or few songs to recommend. Bard's Song/Valhalla from Wacken is a must, and for my personal favorites maybe The Last Candle, Traveler in Time or Nightfall. But there is too many good songs lol

Thanks for checking this out, I thought you might enjoy it. As to Blind Guardian, it kinds of depends on what you like. Their new album is pretty awesome, very aggressive and fast driving music, maybe try "Blood of the Elves" or "Deliver Us form Evil." The first is related to the Witcher game, and the second is about the Salem Witch trials in New England, USA. If you want a long, prog song I highly recommend "And Then There Was Silence" based on Homer's "the Iliad" and tells of the final days of Troy.
