Thanks for the vid. I have to be honest, I had so many expectations when I started watching. You had all the tools to turn it into the best comparison on the internet for definitely the top work headsets available atm. I sat and waited and waited for the definitive test to come and sadly it never did.
These are work headsets, how could you lose the opportunity to test them under work situations evades my understanding.
These were the test I was looking forward to:
    - Using Microsoft Teams and Zoom on Windows and if possible Mac, an iPhone and an Android set to test all the following:
    - Reaction and easy of use of the controls: Physical buttons vs touch only?
    - Answering an incoming call: With the headset on, without the headset on (having to put the headset on to take the call. Do they offer automatic call answering or not?
    - Automatic mute function when you take the headset off?
    - Reaction of the mute control and how easy it is to mute / unmute the microphone while in a call?
    - Sleep / idle behavior: Does the headset lost connectivity after going to idle and how fast does it take to reestablish it again? On many wireless headsets you lose the first seconds of audio when they come back from idle, others maintain the connection with the device even if you take them off your head for a while.
    - How we’ll do they work paired with 2 devices at the same time? Having a work headset connected to both your phone and your computer during the work day is a most but not everyone manages to do this well. The switch between devices should be seamless and the quality of both microphone and speakers should not suffer under these circumstances. As an example, my old Plantronics Focus UC was good connected to only a PC but suffered of static noise when paired at the same time with an iPhone, you had to reboot it for the noise to go away.
    - Extra apps: What do they offer? Are they needed? Difference on using them with and without the app functions (both on computer and phone)
    - How easy it is to upgrade the firmware on them?
    - Any problems to name that you found while testing them the headsets?
I am sure you can come up with more tests but these are the most important ones related to how well they perform. Take a read on the user comments on Amazon and try to focus on problems several users have found to see if they have been fixed and how do they really impact the daily use.
Keep the good work, you have a solid base, but could turn into the best.

When it is quiet, Bose and Poly give low output. When there is noise of the mixer Bose and Poly wake up and throw excellent output, with Bose topping the chart on noise cancellation microphone. Jabra is consistent in throwing good output across all the 3 scenarios but as you said, it probably cuts just the 20 to 30 decibels and that's why although the speaker's voice is heard, there is that remaining 30 decibel sound from the background noise also heard. Epos has been robotic since the 1st environment (quiet environment) but gets really bad in handling noise cancellation. Thanks so much for the wonderful comparison Headset Advisor!

Thanks. Really great review of the 4 leading contender bluetooth heatsets. They are all very good. I have the Jabra 2 85 and the Plantronic 8200. But based on sound quality/noise cancelling i thought it was between the Jabra and the bose. They both sounded great but slightly different. I though the jabra had more definition, whereas i thought the bose sounded more natural. I know for listening to music the jabra allows you to set different levels of sound to the music, you can add more base. I think the bose has 10 levels of noise cancellation. The poly was a great headset when if first came out 3 years ago and still holds it own. I thought the sennheiser sounded more similar to Jabrs than the bose. I still think there is a gap in the market for a decent wired usb c headset as your review demonstrated the wired jabra 80 still sounds better but i dont think its compatable with usb-c smartphones like samsung note 20. Thinks again

    • @frida507

Maybe a detachable wire + Bluetooth? So you can plug in the cable whenever you need good quality and reliable sound, for example hosting webinars/meeting (you can't leave the computer anyways). And bluetooth for mobile phone and whenever you don't need to be on camera. It's painful to be stuck to a computer for hours not being able to move... Working from home I sometimes find myself pacing around the house like an elephant in a zoo.... need the wireless.

Playback through the mic that way will never be even close to reliable.
Between the lost sound from the recording(there always is), to RUclips's compression to the difference in your own headset, it will always sound much much worse than anything you play yourself. Try recording sound, putting it in a youtube video and the listening back on the same pair of headphones you recorded from. I guarantee it's much worse.
One thing that's extremely useful is the mic test. Knowing if it can block out your surroundings is so important for meetings. Thank you for that.
One additional thing you could do for the mic test is have someone walk around you talking on the phone. See if you can give a profile of where in the room it blocks others and where sound slips through.

@@HeadsetAdvisor Dunno if you can make a recommendation. Based on what I've seen so far EPOS Adapt 660 is the way to go.
The environment it'll be used in is a 6m(20ft) by 4m(13ft) room. 5 people have desks there and and the nearest will be 2m(~6ft) from you to the side/back. Sometimes multiple people in the room have separate meetings. Other than talking it is pretty much quiet.
My requirements are: Wireless, ANC for mic, over-ear, comfortable for hours of use daily and decent sound.
Originally I wanted it to be with a boom mic since logically it should be able to filter background better then, however, the Jabra 85 did not do a good enough job at that, the EPOS Adapt 660 did.(referring to Jabra at 9:13 in the video vs EPOS at 9:29)
Do you have a suggestion for a pair that performs even better than the EPOS Adapt 660 under the circumstances I described?

Hi Marco, so we best understand. Are you wanting to have one dongle in the Mac and another dongle into the computer, then have the headset connected to both dongles to switch back and forth between both computers with one headset?

@@HeadsetAdvisor Yesss exactly! Now I'm using AirPods on Mac and standard Apple earphones on PC and I'm going crazy! A way to use only one headset without take and take off for every call one or the other could be a great improvement! :)

@@iuzzoyouzone How about to try this? Use Link 380 on your PC because directly link to PC via bluetooth is not that stable. Use Bluetooth directly link to your Mac. This might let Jabra headset to recognize 2 different types of connection. PC with Link 380 as formal connection and Mac might be recognized as same as mobile. Then you could possibly switch in between. Hope this helps!
