For certain reasons this is one of my most favorite video games. It was the first video game I played when I moved to university living in student halls. I admit I finished the game in just a week because it was very easy, but watching this brings back great memories of when I started university and first started living on my own.
I could not agree more, watching this brings back some amazing memories for Me. Its the first video game I played when I moved away to university and started living on my own in student accommodation. It was a lovely living room flat on the 5th floor with a view over the city. I admit I completed the game in a week, but watching this brings back memories moving out on my own for the first and where my adult life started really.
I used to love halo when I was 7 years old back in 2012. That's where brother got Far Cry 3 on the PS3 and I halo mega blocks toys for Christmas. 2012 was the best year ever of the 2010s
i can understand why people would be upset with the "final boss battle." Personally, i think it made sense. the final boss was way too overpowered and you can tell by the cut scenes. He would overpower MC with some would power that wouldn't let MC move. How could you possibly expect MC to overpower that? Anyways, i love halo and been playing it since the beginning. To me, Halo 4 is the end for me. Halo 5 didn't do it for me and i felt so out of touch with Halo 5 story. I could go on about Halo 5 but they dropped the ball with that game.
I must disagree entirely. Since at that point it's down to story writers & various other aspects when designing the game that made this scene, to which it could have easily been changed & I feel like the staff are talented enough to have though of a way a boss fight could occur without it boiling down to a QTE. Since Cortana helped out, the boss fight could have been simply her weakening him enough for MC to survive him for a while. They could still end up relying on the bomb to finish him, but with a more satisfying end where the players themselves get to actually face up against the built up boss. Hell half of the ending area even looked like it was designed with a boss fight intent in the first place. This isn't me shitting on you by the way, just that I disagree that they couldn't have thought of a way to have a more satisfying ending to this game.
Well I don't think it was the story that could have held back a great boss battle. If Bungie or I mean 343 Industries had tried harder at creating a good boss battle between Master Chief and The Didact. It would have been awesome. Shooters back then used to have awesome boss battles. But it seems like now game designers have gotten lazy at boss bottles for atleast shooters. There should have been something like where that place turned in to some kind of arena and you had to take down certain structures to lower the Didacts body shield and then take out weak points to do damage to his health. Then as you take out his weak points and lower his health his attacks would get more aggressive. Same thing could have been done for the boss battle in Halo 2 and Halo 3.
The final battle was meant to resemble more so that of a cinematic scene. More oft than not, when the battles are done like the latter, they gain that much more semantic value, and value towards the actual story of the game and it's logic.
@@zacharymcreynolds4295 Indeed, if anyone remembers BLINX on the original Xbox or Need For Speed Most Wanted, or even the original Halo's the bosses were always near enough impossible to beat at the end of the game, there were time it take me weeks to months of game time as a kid to try and beat them. But games these days are not the same like this anymore. It is a real shame as so many games with the new consoles and upgrades have got so much opportunity to be better
People complain that this was a very poor boss battle. But in this instance, I don't think a complex boss fight was needed. Pulling at your anxiety with an intense boss fight only to end with this climax of Cortana sacrificing what was left of her to save Master Chief would've been overkill.
If the game gave you a chance to see the power of the Didact in game, I feel the story would have been a million times more powerful. Here I am thinking that if I had a spartan laser and 5 minutes of alone time with this disappointment of a boss I would kick his ass.
actually every halo has had a legendary ending except halo wars, even halo 3 odst had a legendary ending. The legendary ending in halo 4 is that you see part of master chiefs face.
Sry accidentally hit enter. Halo 5 is probably Hali's end because they are sticking to xbox with the Xbox one. A dieing game on a dead console....sry halo.
Woah this battle was such a hard and memorable fight, it was so hard to sit on my couch with my dick in my hand staring at Cortana, easily a much harder boss fight than Tartarus who you actually fight btw
terrible boss fight but I still enjoyed it. Halo 4 had the best campaign in the series but it's multiplayer was not as enjoyable despite several maps I enjoyed. It's a shame Halo 5 has the worst campaign in the series. It's multiplayer is fantastic. Hopefully in Halo 6 they learn from Halo 4's campaign and Halo 5s multiplayer. Halo 4 also had the best story in the series.

Can you play halo ce and 2 and 3 first please
I feel sorry for John, those two would've make a perfect match.
No. Hes a soldier not driven by emotion
Who could have guessed that the next boss fight would be against Cortana? Man, they screwed that one up. Sad.
Terrible boss battle that was way too easy
I'm with ya
Lol it was so hard for me when I was 6 and my brother beat it with ease
I feel that they did a good job with this.
Listen closely when Chief is crawling. He sounds like he is genuine pain.
Halo this series has a place in my childhood memories

Now compare this boss fight to the final boss fight in Halo 2.
This is barely even a boss fight
I used to love halo when I was 7 years old back in 2012. That's where brother got Far Cry 3 on the PS3 and I halo mega blocks toys for Christmas. 2012 was the best year ever of the 2010s
This BOSS is Jedi? XD
You mean Sith? Jedi can't force choke thats why Anakin switched over to the dark side
+Jobm8tty's Army kinda true that's why I'm wishing myself to be darthmaul someday
are you kidding?
so i’m here in 2020 reminiscing ab how good video games were back then and now i miss it :(

Guilty spark was fucking harder to kill...
So was warden enternal
Final legendary?! That is the worst boss fight ever
Halo and boss fights you must be confused.
@@Mitchell-nm2bj Tartarus.. Spark.. u dont remember halo 2 & 3?
Yes the boss battle was lame, you must understand the story to see why there wasnt a real boss battle

@@bluearcanist1858 That's a dogshit excuse for them not to give us a legit final boss
I never played a halo
omg i played all the halos i love it
The end is so sad.
Besides the anticlimactic fight with the Didact
What has halo come to be, when the final boss of the game is literally just a cutscene?
this boss sucked, was very easy lol
Still better than guilty sparks
You really gotta read into the planning and why they couldn't make it a real boss fight1!!
Master Chief having a boss fight against the Didact would be like a caveman having a boss fight against an Apache helicopter.
Easy is always better UwU
But for master cheift it dint he he surfer
My first ever halo

I remember playing on xbox 360 co-op with my friend.
Sadly, Dark Lord's fight in Doom Eternal feels or more like Didact with Marauder antics
bungie [company that created halo] abandoned halo, they said so at the end of the halo reach champaign. i was so heart broken
bruh when i played this i didn't realise i got the legendary ending
Some Boss Fight
This is one of those bosses that can be killed in 1 hit
I miss Courtana...
2:12 and 3:10 the beam is hitting Las Vegas.
That is not acceptable. Chief, detonate the bomb
Why can't I beat the last mission? Instead of it saying "plant grenade" it says "Fire machine gun." and when I press the trigger, nothing happens.
I'm having that same issue right now.
Press both triggers repeatedly bro. It will happen eventually
I don't know if it's a glitch but I was super pissed, I pressed both triggers and it finally went through
2020 anyone??
Why wasn't there a boss battle in-game instead of a cutscene boss battle?
yes hd if you click on the gear symbol in the lower right hand corner you can set it to 720p hd
1080p60 is hd
in the end cutscene after the end credits when u beat halo 4 on legendary
My bad I forgot Halo wars also has a legendary ending its 2 sentences but you only get it if you beat halo wars on legendary
"She said that to me once"
Welp, that's what she said...
((Please don't kill me for the bad joke :C))
Great 9/10
"Final boss" haha god that's funny
rip the city of new phoenix.
Sooooooo epic
Dang samus looking good-
NVM wrong game
actually every halo has had a legendary ending except halo wars, even halo 3 odst had a legendary ending. The legendary ending in halo 4 is that you see part of master chiefs face.
OMG CAPTAIN PRICE IS THAT YOU???
I love halo 4 but its dieing because the community is being assholes and hating on it because its not bungie. It's just as good anyways
i god myself all worked up just for a choke and bomb plant
nice this helps me my game keeps telling me to use the RT buton in stead of the LT
I like the doom's ending better.
Sry accidentally hit enter. Halo 5 is probably Hali's end because they are sticking to xbox with the Xbox one. A dieing game on a dead console....sry halo.
Now that's a lengendary ending.
but they are making halo 5 and 6, they didn't "abandon" it.
final boss is a cutscene?
What sucks is he was a cool ass villain but they gave him a shit boss fight
the final boss had so much potential but was dumb as hell
Woah this battle was such a hard and memorable fight, it was so hard to sit on my couch with my dick in my hand staring at Cortana, easily a much harder boss fight than Tartarus who you actually fight btw
WOW :') good good!!
XBOX 360 vibes
that's 343....not bungie, bungie's working on destiny
Same
My bro is play that's man
thats the finak biss wow thats short
Hd ?
your pro if you can beat any halo game on legendary, i can hardly survive normal lol good job :) *likes*
Cortana please
Didn't think it was possible to make a boss worse than Halo 3 final boss.
I won't lie...that was a pretty lame final boss fight. :/

First time you see his face sad it was in a shit game people didn't care about campaign and didn't bother with legendary
It looks like they copied Star Wars
is this starwars or Halo?
Terrible Single Player
meh
Boring
