Also you can still buy the Wii U version physically off of eBay or Amazon or something. You just can’t upload levels anymore

I'm really excited for this.
When the beta version of super mario maker in the nsmbu style actually had the acorn tree, the goal pole bottom actually right, and had the textures more like the original game
but damn the animations of the characters and when mario get into the flag pole, it look like it's a poorly fanmade game lol

They tried to make the 3DS version sound like the next big thing...
But sadly, it sucked really hard due to no online level sharing. You had one job Nintendo. -.-
BRO IKR! I got it cause my Wii U broke and I was like “How do I send my levels to the world?” And after a quick search, I automatically turned off my 3ds and got on Switch. Still, it’s pretty fun to play.
At least you can play some Wii U courses online.
It’s not the best thing, but it’s better than nothing.

I know the 3DS version was bad...but when I didn’t have Mario Maker 2, it was the only version I had. To be honest, I still really like it!

@@j_the_guyis_taken3409 But this is a sequel, not a port. All the "Deluxe" versions of the wii u games are ports witn new stuff. Mario maker 2 is more than that.

easier said than done. remember that there are 4 players will need 4 unique sprites for one amiibo costume. I cant imagine how much of a pain it was to add them to SMM1

The original was the best! (So far). But the 3Ds port is kind of mediocre. But I'm HYPED for SMM2.

I don’t think you will need an online membership for smm2 because games like fortnite allow you to play with other people without an online membership and Nintendo will probably not because for a game like super smash bros ultimate playing online was a bonus more than more than the main game whereas in smm2 playing online is about 1/2 the game

I dont think it will. Balloon world from mario odyssey was not effected. I think nintendo switch online only affects playing with others online.( Splatoon 2, Smash Bros. Ultimate, MarioKart 8 Deluxe,Etc.)

Its funny since the original was just going to be cheap little level creator that was download only, and now its this amazing game with a big cult following.
They really need to add a 2D Mario Galaxy theme. It would be interesting to see how the concept of spherical worlds would work in 2D
I love Super Mario Galaxy but I really don’t think that’s a good idea. How on Earth would the Gravity function? Not to mention Galaxy is more of a 3D Mario game while 3D World is more of a hybrid of 2D and 3D to where if you put it in 2D it still works and feels more natural. Meanwhile Galaxy has a lot more elements that need 3D to work properly.
