Reason it says "refreshing", is because "refreshing" is a Mario Maker level format. Basically it spams visual effects in one place and usually, powerup spams with typically very few to no enemies. And they typically are extremely easy to play, just all the visual spamming can hurt some people's eyes watching it.
First it's a sappy & cute "I got you, bro" message he wants from us, then it's an even more cutesy/cringey "I got you, BROO!" And then he wants us to talk about our favorite flavors (chocolate for me, fyi 🍫). Never change, Darby.
If they make a Super Mario Maker 3, they should let you make secret exits for your levels, and have them lead to alternate levels in your super worlds.
I think Super Mario Bros Wonder is genuinely my new favourite Mario game, it’s amazing and just dripping charm. Playing it has made me feel like a little girl again, the “Wonder” name really is apt 😂
2:00 reminds me of one of my own levels where I made the main area 1-1 and the sub area 1-2 and formatted it to where you have to do both to properly finish it as I put a giant ground wall blocking the flagpole that forces the player to go down the pipe to 1-2 and then at the end of that area the end pipe will go out to the flagpole. I was able to even get the 1-1 bonus area in by walling it off from the main 1-2 area, but due to limitations in the way Super Mario Maker 2 is programmed, I couldn't get the 1-2 bonus room even though I wanted to.
