I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
I have a 2020 Iron 1200 Got a nice set of 16" Ape Hangers as well, just curious why on amazon it says it wont fit my model I assume the length of the cable is fine just wanting to make sure the fitting for the Brake Line is correct. Love the video!!
I really like the look and I bet they are comfortable for you. Looking forward to the long awaited exhaust... It has definitely been a saga. Would love to also see a follow up on that 1275 kit too... I bet it rides amazing. See you soon
Do you have any kind of video footage of how you attach the wiring harness to the extensions? Does Burley send you any kind of info on that? Great video thanks.
Looks amazing! Sorry to see about the tank. I do love that stock color/look. I'm in the process of tdoing a 2nd tank for grins/learning. I went with the Drag Specialities Diamond stitch 3.3 tank...taking a torch to the Diamond stitch and a brass wire wheel brush to brass plate to do raw aluminum and brass. If it turns out, I will post a video with it next Spring. Too cold in Chicago to finish it up at moment. Thanks for sharing!
ok, I pieced my cables and hose set, didnt see kits that would fit, I put 16" meat hooks on 6" risers, had little trouble finding cables, last year, I noticed I cant find stuff like once existed, 20 years ago, you could pick up catalog, order any size up to 31" bars, then special order taller, & no trouble with cables, just order for bike & then a plus size for how many inches over stock, 24" over, sure, was in paper catalog. modern times Grrrr... I dropped out of scene, just maintaining bike, then got back into a couple years ago, now wanting 25" bars, on 6" risers. what a chore today!
Congrats brother! Not sure why, but with my 16’s, I don’t feel like a gorilla riding a football anymore. Really opens everything up. Great video by the way. Learned some valuable lessons with apes that people don’t talk about. Apparently your body acts like a sail at speed and can cause some wobble. Let me know if you’ve experienced anything like that. Ride safe bro!
@@ironglide8256 ask any old timer, that been in the wind 40 years, apes, leaning into curves in youth, and still here, but doing it 1 handed, with a suicide shift, the joys of youth. but if run tight bearings, not great, but bearings will wear out prematurely, I had 2-5 blue bearings every 2 years of hard riding, so, replace & put lots of lube, & in my youth I rode 25K to 40K miles a year on 2 wheels. now days, 5k a year is I am lucky
@@randymack1782 thank you for the words of wisdom! I’ve ridden a while and even went to Harley about it. They didn’t mention that at all..😳 That’s one reason I posted here hoping someone else had this experience. Soon as this terrible weather moves out of GA I’ll get her out and check those bearings. I definitely found that leaning forward with your abs through curves helps tremendously as well as placing slight pressure forward on the bars also makes it a smooth run through curves. Could not imagine doing it with a suicide shifter! Kudos brother! Stay safe out there Randy!
I installed 14" apes on my Softail and flipped the mirrors. My problem is, my forearm covers most of the view behind me. Those mirrors look like they extend out pretty far, where did you get them?
I have a 2019 Sportster 48 with 14 inch apes. I also had to install new clutch, throttle, brake cable. My question is, since these cables are longer, if I went back to stock bars would I have to get stock cables again? Or would it be fine to have some bend in the cables? Any help would be great
A big hypodermic syringe works good to, fit it with a surgical hose, fill the syringe, shoot it from the bottom slowly until the bubbles come out in the fluid res., shut it off. - Lefty ( may have to pump it once) Under the Blood M/M
I did this same 16s for my buddy on his 18 sportster last season. I can't get the bars tightened down enough with the stock riser. Anyone experience the same and did you overcome it?
Pro tip, don’t leave a fragile part or painted piece somewhere it can fall, especially if your working on someone else’s bike. I’d rather you throw my tank in the trash than do a rookie mistake like that
No vids in over a year. Wonder why? Loved your videos.

Getting ready to go 12” mini apes on my Iron 883. Awesome and informative video!
I did 10” and want 16 now
Did you have to run extra wires for the 12”?
@@peterollin3796 Yes I did, Harley Davidson sells the longer wires.
Burly is all I use on my shop.. the absolute best!!

Hello there, if you don’t mind me asking sir how tall are you? I’m debating if I go with the 14’ or the 16’

I think u may be compensating for something, and that something is a small penis
No updates in over a year? What’s going on with this dude/channel?
COMPLIMENTI!! Farò tesoro di tutto questo, devo installare sul mio Sposter! iscritto!!🤟
What is the website to buy that bar
You were asking for the dent by leaving it like that. Hindsight is 20/20. Bars look sick.
Awesome bike man! How tall are you with the 16” apes? I’m 6’ 2” and really wanting to build a bobber like this! Thanks
Are those the blazed bars brother?
Bro great job!!!! Killer share. Sorry about the tank. I know the she feels horrible about it. Ride safe. 🤙🏾🔥

I actually did notice that the first time out when I took my hand off the bar. Still getting used to them but so far so good! thx!
tighten your neck bearings, or install steering damper!
@@randymack1782 thank you brother! I’ll give that a shot.

hey man you thought about selling that old exhaust setup? if so give me a haller
Nice bike bro I have the same one! Love your videos can't wait to see more upgrades
Do you still have your sportster?
Dumb question but who made the 6 inch Z bars? That is the first mod I want to do to my bike
Dude!! Sick!! You have my apes, my pegs, my exhaust, only im on a Fatboy lo😅😅

Man, why would you balance your tank like that lol saw it falling before it even fell.
awesome job! in girls' defense it wasn't the best place to put the tank! hahaha
Where did you buy your seat from? I’ve been looking all over for the same one
I think from Revzilla

The second I saw you put the tank on the back of the bike.... 😳! Been there done that, with same result! 😬
Looks great. How different does it feel riding?
Way more comfortable than I thought it would be. I didn't realize how much the small bars were making me hunch over and hurting my shoulders.

Great job ✌🏻

Why do so many biker channels just drop off out of nowhere?
Is everyone kicking the bucket?
terrible video
Also I just will fill the fluid then zip tie the lever in just Crack the bolt and walk away lol
