Multi-select to add tags is just one example of a simple feature in Heptabase that makes it so smart but also easy to use. I'm loving it!

Heptabase just combines the whiteboard with the notion-like database, which is amazing!

I use tags by topic. That is to say, when I create a card with a concept, I add a tag related to the topic (e.g., stress or cognitive biases). When I have accumulated a significant number of cards on a given topic through my readings, podcasts, and videos, I create a whiteboard. This method gives me the flexibility to create a card on the go without having to immediately think about placing it on a whiteboard.

Love your work, Alan. I like how you keep it simple for the majority but still provide additional insights for the power users here. Please keep these coming because the use-case scenario space is helped by your videos. It might be useful to seek user use-cases and then highlight examples of how others have adopted the various approaches to PKM. For many coming here, the concepts might be new and for established users, I know I enjoy seeing use-cases and a collection brought together with your thoughts would be perfect!

Just subscribed yesterday, this is amazing! I am a software engineer and I always trying to find something can record, organize my research and ideas then directly show me the inner relationships between them no matter where they were from. I tried to create my Algorithm notes with Heptabase last night and it exactly has everything I need and super easy to use! Just want to say thank you and show my respect to Alan, I have been thinking of creating some note app like this for a long while but never actually put my effort in it to make it happen, you did it and you did a super great job! Thanks again!

Cool video! Liked it very much! I consider that having tags and whiteboards is the super advantage of Heptabase, besides backlinks.

Great video, Alan! I was concerned about not maximizing tags in Heptabase, which made me anxious. Your reassurance that tags should only be used when useful was a relief. Now, inspired by your video, I'm excited to start experimenting with new tag ideas.

In fact, there are a large number of people who use and get lost in the black hole in TAGS. In Heptabase, I have been using WHITEBOARD as TAGS. For example: I am currently reading several books about productivity. The summary of 1 book takes place within 1 CARD of the book and 1 Whiteboard of that book. when there is the same category or subject happening in several books, I conceptualize the subject in a WHITEBOARD Procratination.. Whiteboard habits.. subject that I am interested in and want to have a macro view of how authors think about the subject. I don't see the need to insert TAGS in this process. We could say that WHITEBOARD is playing the role of TAGS in this case

I'm loving heptabase whiteboards, journal and highlights. I'm forcing myself not to use tags yet for I'm afraid I'll lose myself down the rabbit hole. Your video was great at exemplifying how and when tags can be useful! Thanks!

    希望這個功能可以在手機上也能使用,比如說,在手機的每天日誌資訊裡已經用tag標註群組(習慣追蹤的 [] ),但是手機上顯示日誌裡面的資訊無法做編輯。

Can you add Apple Pencil compatibility so I can use the drawing features for notes and annotating pdfs? I don't know if this has this tho, as I just signed up and tried for 2 mins.
