For folks wondering how much flour is enough for your sausage gravy, an easy rule of thumb is just putting just enough to fully coat your crumbled sausage (you don’t want any loose in the pan) and cook/brown until that raw flour smell is gone. I do this pretty often when I make biscuits and gravy. Homemade gravy is infinitely better than the packaged “just-add-water” stuff. Thanks for another great meal Kev!
Well, the wax-on-wax-off method taught by Mr. Miyagi is one where Daniel-san uses his left and right hands seperately, with the right only doing counter-clockwise movement and the left only doing clockwise movement. So to me it makes sense the dry-hand-wet-hand method is sorta similar to that, in a way.
I really like this method. The only thing that I do is a lot of people have problems with doing it and immediately putting it in the friar. And the breading just falls off what I Learned and was taught is that? Don't immediately put it in the friar. Let it sit so it adheres to the meat thumbs up to you, man
I really liked this one. The last restaurant I worked at did everything like you, all from scratch, EXCEPT the chicken fried steak, which was frozen food service, and the white gravy came from a powder (well, plus sausage that we made in house). I kept begging them to do something like yours. Turns out they only kept the frozen ones around for like the three regulars that actually liked the frozen food service steaks so they never changed it. At least I can make it for myself now. Thanks!
After a few months of watching Kev, I noticed myself telling my kids “just get in there and enjoy”, after all the meals I cook for them, even when I know they’re terrible meals😂
Bro. Been making that white sausage gravy for roughly bout two days now, we can't stop eating it with frozen biscuits! Your spread was impeccable. Made it again tonight. Suppose I'm trying to get it just right, think I might've got it now. Thx. Easter may very well be a fine spread. We love you dude. ❤
I’ve never eaten Chicken Fried steak but that looked delicious. I do love gravy like that, over Hash Browns but I haven’t eaten it in years. Your recipe looked easy to make so I might try it this weekend ! Hope you’re well Kevmo. Cheers❤
Nice job Kev!! 👍👍🔥🔥 Another great dish I'm a big fan of your channel & your content. Hope your doing great health-wise. I lost my adopted father to prostate cancer in 1994. So keep positive, I'm cheering for you!! Bryan from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada ❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦
Mmmm I’m like you, my friend, I absolutely love chicken fried steak and yours looked phenomenal as well as those chunky hash brown potatoes!! In fact, the whole plate with the fried eggs and the fruit looked amazing and right up my alley….CHEERS!! ✌️✌️✌️✌️
Chicken fried steak is one of my favorite meals. You killed it with this one, I will now have to try and duplicate this recipe. It looks like it has a perfect crispiness to it and that is so important with a cfs. Good job dude, I wish I could hang out with you, you’re just my kind of bro. You’d have to make some of this for me. 🤘
So jealous I wish my college experience would've included u. Ur cooking stories life experiences I bet r worth every minute u have of ur free time. Dk if u ever had a beer at a bar lol but I'd of happily bought your night just to hear your story brother
Personal preference....I use bacon grease for the gravy and if it tops CFS I don’t want meat in the gravy.... Bacon grease is the best fat for making gravy, hands down.... Lloks real good!
Obviously you probably need to keep the seasonings a little more tame when cooking for a large group, but personally I would of added Tabasco to the buttermilk, creole seasoning to the dry. A little more Tabasco in that gravy as well for me. Otherwise looks like an amazing breakfast!
Grew up in Kansas, now live in Oklahoma. I m not kidding, I probably eat enough chicken fried steak that it would show up on an Ancestry DNA result. My go to side is a biscuit, halved with a sausage patty in between, also smothered in sausage gravy.
Those girls sure are lucky to have you around......What am i saying? We're all lucky to have you around Kev!! Here's to ya! Cheers.
Cringe

Those are some lucky ducks your cooking for!
Oh man Kev I just KNOW those country fried steaks were fire, they were made with love!
Always with a 3 to 1 cutlet , you can always push on the cutlet
Always wondered why steak done this way is called chicken fried...
Cause it’s steak…fried like chicken…
Because it’s prepped/coated like fried chicken, fried like fried chicken, and comes out with that tasty crackly crust like fried chicken.
@@chipskylark172right, its kinda self explanatory.
Now you know!
Personal preference....I use bacon grease for the gravy and if it tops CFS I don’t want meat in the gravy.... Bacon grease is the best fat for making gravy, hands down.... Lloks real good!
