No wonder they said this was the best meal you made them all year. There's obviously so much Love and Intention you put into this preparation. Looks killer, Kev! Those girls are lucky to have you as their personal Chef!
Here's my dad's recipe. Brown 1 lb of chopped bacon in a pot. Add one lb of sliced sausage. He uses the johnsonville smoked sausage that's in the shape of a horseshoe. Brown up the sausage with the bacon Add 3 diced Roma tomatoes, 2 chopped serrano peppers, 1 diced medium yellow onion and a bundle of chopped cilantro. Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Add 2 large cans of pinto beans juice and all. That's very important. If you can't find large cans 5 normal cans will do. Add 2 cups water. No salt. You use knorr tomato powder as the salt. Probably around a table spoon. Enough so it's salty enough. Then just simmer for 30 mins. Serve with tortillas. Sooooo good. I promise you will love it. ❤️
Something about the way you say “get in there” and “what a treat” seems to make my day every time. Just a man with some good food and I absolutely love it. Have a great day and I’m lookin forward to the next lesson.
Looks amazing! I love me some quesabirria tacos. Homemade is always the best. I like your griddle setup. Mine was similar but also had the bbq setup for char burgers.
I make Birria quite often, and I've found roasting the tomatoes at high heat along with the onions will really add a nice extra flavor. Also cinnamon sticks is a great thing to add before cooking
I hope those young ladies know how lucky there are: I got through college on crappy college cafeteria food, takeout, and boxed Mac & cheese. It would’ve been so nice to have a homemade meal & so much better for me. I’m going to try your recipe this upcoming weekend & I bet my husband will ❤ it. Thanks Kevmo! 😊
This is by far my favorite food. But it does take a long time and a lot of effort to cook especially in a smaller kitchen. I bet your guests will remember this dish for a very long time.
I seen a lot of beautiful ingredients there... but there's one key ingredient that you can't see with your eyes... Kevmo you are a master of this one: love ❤ thanks man you don't just elevate my cooking
I had steak and pepper sauce with chips and egg for dinner tonight but I’m fairly certain I could squeeze one of those beauties in too! That taco looks like it’s packing some awesome flavours 😊 I made the Brussels and bacon with balsamic glaze you posted a while back. It turned out really good! Only thing I did different was add a little bit of red onion when I was frying my bacon 😊
i make skirt steak tacos and a simple teriyaki marinade and fresh guac. lightly fry the shells and melt the cheese on the meat add shredded lettuce and guac on top and salsa
I’ll be honest, ever since I had one at this restaurant called El burrito with a little donkey piñata as person on the side. I’ve always wanted to figure out how to make one. I looked it up a while back. I just never purchased all the ingredients to make it. Maybe one day if I have a family get together with my dad and his family I can make it. I can hear it already “aye Mijo, Lo hiciste tan bueno”
❤ I JUST LOVE WATCHING YOU COOK!!!! The only let down is that I cannot taste enjoy what you delivered!! I don’t think people have enough appreciation for birria until they see the process of how it’s made. Looks amazing
Among all the cooking youtubers, you're the coolest, man.
The man doesn’t cook like it’s a job. He cooks with love!
The two hands, "Safe on base" gesture means the flavor experience is ON POINT!

Looks amazing! FYI I think the first chilis are the guajillos and the wider ones are anchos, ancho translating to "wide".

I'm trying to replicate this recipe right now, the meat is in the oven for another 2 hours... Wish me luck! My mouth is already watering 😅
